    Core strength is extremely important for runners! It helps you, as a runner, to maintain a better running form throughout your run.
    So, what if you're running to not only maintain your health, but also to get an aesthetic appearance? In other words, you want a six-pack!
    Well, a traditional core routine, which only utilizes bodyweight, will not be enough to get those sizzling abs. You need to incorporate weight training to your core workouts.
    The beauty is that you don't need fancy gym equipment to achieve such results. All you need is something with a bit of weight. As an example, you can use a backpack full of books.
    In this video, you will see 3 weighted core exercises repeated twice. The only difference is that the first round will be performed with a weight plate, and the second round with a backpack full of books.
    The 3 exercises found in this workout video are as follows:
    1- Weighted V-ups
    2- Weighted Russian Twists
    3- Weighted Crunch Ups
    The workout will be performed in a HIIT Interval format. Where you work for 45 seconds, followed by a 15 second rest.
    Once final note, these weighted ab exercises, plus a daily workout routine, is only part of the six-pack puzzle. You still need to incorporate a solid nutritional diet, in order to, reduce your levels of body fat. This way your abs will be visible, once your abdominal muscles begin to grow.
    Finally, this weighted core workout should be incorporated 2-3 times into your weekly running schedule.
