I love all your covers, I wish you would do a tutorial on this wonderful song, and if you could do a cover of Everybody's Trying to Be My Baby From the magnificent Carl PerkinsI..! 🎸👍🏾
No problem.... best rendition on You Tube I thought. Jez, do you know of any software programs that can remove the vocals from any song so that you can sing along with the backing track??
Here's a long, technical answer to your simple question: With some records from the 1960s, when it was common for producers to put the vocals on one channel of a stereo mix and most of the rest of the band on the other channel, it can be possible. If you listen to some early Beatles records, for example, you can sometimes remove just the vocals by turning off one channel of the stereo mix. If you're wanting do this on recordings from the 1950s (such as Carl Perkins records which were released as mono mixes), then it's very tricky. I think there are software programs that attempt to do that, but never 100% effectively. This is because the tone/volume, etc. of a singer's voice will often overlap with those of other instruments in a mix, so it's not possible to remove the vocals without either: (a) removing other aspects of the recording, and/or (b) leaving traces of the vocals. There are, however, lots of good Karaoke backing tracks that can be purchased online (e.g., from Amazon), but not every track you may want is available.
great teacher. I just saw your interpretation of this great theme. if you had the kindness to upload the tutorial of this song it would be great. the choir part is a bit complicated to play since in the video you go very fast and you can't see it the movement of the pick in the right hand and the strings that you press to get that great sound. Thanks again for making music so beautiful and not letting these songs die in oblivion. With my children we find it great this interpretation of the great carl perkins.
Yes. It's called 'Fifty From the 50s' (play 50 rock 'n' roll songs with just 4 chords). If you go to Amazon and search for 'Jez Quayle Rock and Roll' you'll find it - Jez
