Judas was one of Jesus closest disciples. He witnessed Jesus miracles, walk on water, raise dead people, and even held the purse for the missions. Jesus trusted Him and gave Him every opportunity to repent knowing that Judas was going to betray Him. After Judas had received the 30 pieces of silver from the chief priests Jesus washed his feet and gave Him communion. Jesus did not want to lose Judas and gave Him every opportunity to repent. How many more chances did you expect Jesus to give Judas? We have free will and Judas chose to betray Jesus. To claim Jesus should’ve saved Judas against his will shows your lack of understanding who Jesus is and His love for all to saved.

What happened was that Judas hung himself in the field and over time his body became bloated with gasses and his waist burst spilling his intestines. Both verses focus on different aspects of his death with Matthew telling us the cause and Acts telling us the horror surrounding it. If he simply fell, then for him to burst open in the middle doesn’t make any sense. I hope that helps!

Let's reverse the scriptures, as it was Matthew that happened first, and then Acts - even though both accounts are of the same accord, it makes sense more this way around, too.
Matthew 27:3-7 - Judas returned to the priests to give the 30 pieces of silver back, but they refused it. Judas threw the money in the temple as he didnt want it. The priests then decided to use the money to buy a 'potter's field' as a burial place for strangers. There's no clear timeframe for when the field was purchased and when Judas hung himself, but we know they both happened and Judas attempted suicide. That's all within the scriptures.
Acts 1:18-19 - This very man purchased a field (although the priests bought it, it was with Judas' money) and falling headfirst, his body burst open and his insides spilled out. He had to have fallen from quite a height for this to happen, so it can be easily assumed that when he attempted to hang himself, the rope or tree branch would've broken, and down he falls. Again, all in the scriptures, nothing to hide.
Its easy to cause people to stumble with on the spot questions and not providing all verse's that create the 'scene'.

Some people have wrongly assumed that Matthew and Luke (the author of Acts) are contradictory in their account of Judas’ death. Since the Bible is inerrant Judas cannot have died by hanging and died by falling and bursting open. Rather they are two different viewpoints of the same event. For example, if I saw a car hit a pedestrian, I might simply say that the pedestrian died because he was hit by the car. The coroner who came on the scene later but did not actually see the accident might give a graphic description of the injuries to the pedestrian. Both the coroner and I are describing the same event just different aspects of it.

If me and you were standing in a street, we heard a screech of brakes, a woman scream and then heard a collision, and I told you said to someone “I heard a screech of brakes then a collision” and I told the same person “I heard a woman scream and then a collision” we aren’t contradicting each other, we are offering 2 equally valid accounts of what happened, this is what we get with the gospels, Judas hung himself and then his guys spilled out. Same with the “who carries the cross” question these dawah guys love to ask, in one gospel we see Jesus carry the cross, in another it’s a guy called Simon, simple answer really, Jesus carried the cross and then a guy called Simon helped him. They both carried the cross, it’s not either or. Hope this clears it up.

Except that in one scenario he PURCHASED a field that he died in by ACCIDENT. The other scenario he threw away the money in regret, didn't buy the field and hung himself only. No guts bursting watsoever. Your anology is faulty.

@@sildkrunxagers1070 no, my analogy isn’t faulty, he threw the money on the floor, the high priests used that money to buy the field, so it was Judas’s money that brought the field, so Judas brought he field but Judas didn’t make the transaction. He hung himself in that field, then he had post mortem bloating and his guts spilled out. This has been debunked countless times, to use islams own phrase against you, it isn’t the eyes that are blind but the heart.

Also hanging himself with postmortem bloating, is not FALLING ON YOUR HEAD and bursting his gut open. There is no mention of him unaliving himself or his corpse bloating up, you are trying to harmonise a clear contradiction and failing to do so.

Some people have wrongly assumed that Matthew and Luke (the author of Acts) are contradictory in their account of Judas’ death. Since the Bible is inerrant Judas cannot have died by hanging and died by falling and bursting open. Rather they are two different viewpoints of the same event. For example, if I saw a car hit a pedestrian, I might simply say that the pedestrian died because he was hit by the car. The coroner who came on the scene later but did not actually see the accident might give a graphic description of the injuries to the pedestrian. Both the coroner and I are describing the same event just different aspects of it.
There is no contradiction surrounding Judas’ death but rather two descriptions given by two different authors of the same event.
Matthew tells us that Judas died by hanging (death is inferred from the passage). Luke, being a doctor, gives us a graphic description of what occurred following the hanging. The reason for ordering the events as such is twofold. First, if someone has fallen and their internal organs spilled out, they would die and so could not subsequently die from hanging. Second, even when people suffer bad falls, they do not usually burst open and have their internal organs spill out. Skin is very tough, and even when it is cut in the abdominal area, internals do not usually spill out. Thus, it is unlikely that Judas could die in this manner merely from falling.
Gruesome as it is, Judas’ dead body hung in the hot sun of Jerusalem, and the bacteria inside his body would have been actively breaking down tissues and cells. A byproduct of bacterial metabolism is often gas. The pressure created by the gas forces fluid out of the cells and tissues and into the body cavities. The body becomes bloated as a result. In addition, tissue decomposition occurs compromising the integrity of the skin. Judas’ body was similar to an overinflated balloon: as he hit the ground (due to the branch he hung on or the rope itself breaking), the skin easily broke, and he burst open with his internal organs spilling out.

Judas threw the blood money to the priests, who couldn't accept it. Judas then went to the potter's field and hung himself. The priests used the money to buy that field in Judas' name (as per a tradition that has the owner of the property being the one who's money was used, in this case Judas). After the body had rotted for a time, the noose couldn't hold the body anymore, thus the corpse falling and breaking open.
Even if I granted this as a contradiction, all the Gospels agree that Judas died, and all the Gospels meet the standard of witness testimony.

@Malik-bv9rh Reread my comment. It was a Jewish custom of the time to do that. They used Judas' money to buy the field where he hung himself at, and since it was his money, he technically bought the field in accordance with the Jewish custom of the time.
Please avoid using modern understanding to explain ancient people's customs.
