I want to "thumbs up" this video, but not because I am liking that you are hurt, but that you are alive. I am hopeful as well as praying for your recovery, as back injuries take a long time to heal. Last year my wife had spine surgery and replaced the vertebrae at c5 c6, then this year she broke her sacrum on the bunny hill at China peak in CA. All of this has been taking a long time to heal. Don't rush anything, take your time with everything. God bless you on this healing journey.
Hollie, I know your tenacity will get you through this. Allow yourself time to heal, both mentally and physically. You have such as support network willing to help--let them--us--help you where we can! We have so much appreciation and respect for you, Walter, and the extended MM family.
Oh no Hollie 😢😢😢 You knew something was off from the start. I had a compression fracture in my L3-L4. Almost had a laminectony. I was in a wheelchair for quite some time, a custom lumbar brace and almost 6 months of physiotherapy. I was able to walk again unaided after a year. All that from a wrong landing in a basketball game. My legs were not bent so my back absorbed all the impact. Sending you healing vibes. I was in tears watching because it brought back memories. Your in the best hands, best friends and all the resources most people dont. ❤️💪🏽💪🏽👊🏽🙏
I was in a construction accident when I was 35 and broke my back. Same symptoms, hot like blood all around, couldn’t breathe. 16 days later, back fused on 2 places and half a body cast for months. Still going strong at 70. Hang in there, it will be ok. I can’t tell you how many people helped me and my family get through it. All the best.
I’m really thankful for messages like these. Not only the reminder that everything will be okay, but for the reminder that it is OK to accept help - especially these first few weeks of my recovery.
I've never been in this position, but have has others in it,and did see the full harness, just like Mischief Maker has,it's that 1 in a million situations ,it's an unplanned adventure, that is how I'll think of it
@@MischiefMakerTVI was shot through the center of my heart when I was 8, thrown through the windshield of my red camaro at over 120 mph that my fiancee's dad bought me, he was the owner of the Shreveport times newspaper in lousiana and a pedophile, I caught my fiancee with my best friend and drank for the first time chugging two pint of tequila eating both worms, I ripped the seatbelt out of the frame going through the windshield headon into the ground and hit the ground the car crushing and flipping upside down on top of me, had my license 2 weeks, 16, I lost her, my friends, my job, my car, my school and my dad, not including my back, then when i was 24 i had a carload of kids with their dad pull out in front of me on my motorcycle, laying the bike over, the peg caught and flipped me onto my hands and knees at 60 mph headfirst into their back rim, flipping into the air and i landing on my back onto their trunk, i also have capsylitis in both shoulders from doing concrete and roofing my whole life because I had such a hard time in school from being in a coma when I was 8 and being shot, I have lost everything, including my sons in horrible ways, I have been single since I was 32 taking care of my air force vet mom, who was in a bad nuclear silo accident, I have nothing and now I have bad diabetes, I had only 2 things I loved, my 85 Toyota 4x4 mint, it had no a/c and I can't stand heat anymore from diabetes, and then there was my hymalean siamese who came out of the woods in the middle of nowhere and saved my life, when I was contemplating suicide, she saved me and recently she got cancer in her jaw and died within 2 weeks and she was so healthy and beautiful, she didnt deserve to die so horribly :( , well anyway my mon is getting so bad and she is all I have, I haven't seen much sons since they were babies, except one once and hes 6'8 and amazing, but it broke his heart to see me and my mom suffering so much, and he hasn't contacted me since, I do have a rich dad, I am his only son and he's not married, he contacted me one time in the last 30 years and said everything is mine, but he is wealthy and healthy, and will live to be 110 knowing him, if I make it to 70 being 53 I will be amazed, diabetes is no joke, I recently know a 16 year old who died from diabetes, and the pain I endure is unreal, but I have to for my mom, she was head of comm commander of nasa in florida, a 5 striper, 12 years and a single mom with 3 kids, she was married 10 times, to a bunch of abusive aholes, none of them except Perry were ever a dad to me, my real dad disowned me after I was shot, I get 914$ a month being disabled and that's it, my mom gets 4500$ a month, without her I will not survive, the Bill's are way more than I make, and everyone takes advantage of my mom, and I can't stop it, my mom still looks at me as the disabled kid who went to special schools, so she never listens to me, and she is so nice all these bad people take advantage of her and I have to clean up the mess over and over, we could of bought a property and house by now easy, at least a new car, we have a 2008 kia sorento with over 300 thousand miles we bought new, that's it, the a/c just went out, fixing tomorrow, hopefully, and now the stupid apartment management told us we had bed bugs, and I had to get rid of everything and do all the work and haven't seen a single bedbug, then the bug guy said we didn't have them sorry, so right now I am sitting in a just sprayed 2 bedroom apartment with all furniture gone and everything in boxes or bagged outside, shedding a tear laying on the floor watching your video because you hurt your back, so cheer up it could be way way worse, just make sure to be humble, have faith, take natural stuff for bone health like natural D products, and stay mentally positive and beat this ok, stay humble, it's the key to wisdom, you're eternal and death is an illusion, there is Infinite yous in infinite realities, you look through their eyes when you dream, just keep raising people up with your humbleness and strength ok👍❤ people like me depend on people like you, matt, fab rats, sleeperdude, derek from vgg, to keep us humble and hopeful ok❤👍

I remember when I had my back injury. I was crying the same thing. I knew I wouldn't be able to watch this. That's why I waited this long to watch this video. I had started to watch but end up turning it off. Just now I am watching it and it hurt to my soul to see anyone else go through the pain that I have been through. Praying for you young lady. God Bless.
I really like the professionalism of the first EMT that attended her, He was real careful, I also liked the 4X4 Rescue van that got her out of the sandy situation.
Crazy that you were feeling something was off before you even got started. It’s hard to listen to those inner feelings doing what we do. I wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing you on the trails soon.
Keep this content coming on your recovery. we're with you every step of the way. You're a reality based YT channel and events like this are a learning experience for us should we venture out into such conditions. Heal quickly, I know you're in good hands...
Wishing you a speedy recovery Hollie, you've got this! I broke my back in 2007 in a freak accident driving a tug master in the docks in Dublin, and now have lots of metal work holding my L4, L5 and S1 altogether. The docs told me I would be lucky to walk again, but here I am walking and doing all the "normal" things in life. Whatever normal is 😂. One of the best bits of advice I would give everyone is stay positive even when the pain is bad and to accept all the help you can during recovery. Love and blessings.
I hope you have a speedy recovery and are feeling better! Back pain is no joke and it's hard to explain the pain to people that have never experienced it
@@Hooptierescue L3, L4, S1 are all screwed up. Had surgery to shave some bone and literally move my sciatic nerves away from the area. To this day I still have debilitating pain that will fold me up into a ball. And people just do not understand the amount of pain involved.
Holy smokes I am so sorry this happened. Its amazing seeing you talk about it and seeing you in better spirits. You have an amazing community and great friends to help you out and heal through this process. I hope your pain is little and you heal fast.
Hoping for a speedy recovery. Definitely a freak accident. The suspension on these machines, especially his specifically are incredible and for that to happen is definitely strange.
Oh Hollie, I'm really feeling for you right now. I fractured my T12 vertebrae in January and I'm still in pain daily. I'm almost in tears here, watching you. Sending so many positive thoughts your way. Gentle hugs too.
I made a small donation. This is the first time I’ve done so. It is a thank you for the many many hours of pleasure your videos have given me. I’m an 80 year old women disabled by severe osteoarthritis. So I’m not able to do much. RUclips helps to fill my days. I fell yesterday. I’m OK, just a little stiff and sore. But I had to call an ambulance to pick me up off the floor. Fortunately, I’m live in Canada (Victoria BC) so I do not have to pay a cent for the paramedics help. So I donated to you part of what I may have had to pay them if we didn’t have such wonderful medical insurance. I hope you heal quickly and completely.
We all love you and Walter, Hollie. We will be thinking about you, sending our love your way and praying for you to heal up and recover fully, quickly. We know how you are, kind of go, go, go, so do take it "easy-does-it" for a little while. Better safe than sorry while you mend properly, our lovely ;)
Hollie, you are an amazing human being. I got a little emotional seeing my friend hurt. I am so happy that you do not need surgery. PLEASE let Dan and I know if you need anything. We love you friend!
Hollie! I am so very sorry that you have been hurt! Definitively wishing you all the very very best, you take care of yourself. HUGE Caring hugs to you Hollie. You will pull through this just fine and come out better than new! Hold your head up and keep looking forward , you have got this Hollie! 👍🤗
Holly, have been where you are, ladder broke came straight down on my butt. T-12 fracture, and two cracked hips, they said I just had to heal and used a walker for several weeks. This was about 25 years ago, I healed but now have a bit of arthritis in my lower back. Point is don't rush anything, let your body heal. I'm praying for a fast and clean recovery for you. Us fans will wait.💕
Hi Hollie. I just wanted you to know I'm praying for you to make a speedy recovery. I'm actually crying over this video. I've watched you and Walter, MM and the Rock Ness Monster 👾 for the last two years and have to thank you for everything. You have been inspirational for me. God bless you.
You’re a trooper! I love that you didn’t blame anyone or anything. You’re setting an example on how to be a good citizen even through the pain… thank you. Prayers for a solid and quick recovery.
So sorry for your injury Hollie and the associated expenses. 😢 Not how I want anyone to experience the fun of backcountry adventures, especially when they're in my backyard up here in Oregon.🤔 Wishing you very little pain and a speedy recovery!💖
Having a broken back is a game changer. I broke mine over 40 years ago. After surgery I got back to a point of 90% capability. Now in my sixties arthritis is catching up and now cancer so the moral of the story is do your best and adapt. Work and play smart . And whatever your prognosis life is willing to throw more health challenges your way. I love your gentle accent.
So sorry to hear about the accident! Do what the doctors say and take it easy! We love your videos so we all will be there for you! Speedy recovery Holly!
I'm so sorry Hollie. Try to give your body the time it needs to heal properly. I know that's hard to do when you have so much on your plate. Your true fans will be here with you through thick and thin. Speedy recovery! I hope to see you at EJS again next year.
I live about 5 miles from the dunes. I grew up here and it seems every summer there is tragedy. It's dangerous out there. I hope you recover quickly and I'm glad it wasn't worse.
OMG Holly we will be praying for a good recovery and please don’t worry about the things you can’t control rite now. Your viewers will be glad to help you. No problem.
Praying for a speedy recovery Hollie!!! Take care of yourself FIRST everything else will fall into place!! I know how you feel as i hurt my back and am now 100% disabled from my back and sciatica nerve damage!! Love ya girl and keep your spirits high!! Also Thank You Trail Haunter for all you have done to help the MM family
My 6 yr. Old fell out of my truck climbing in the widow a couple months ago while my back was turned getting out. Scariest dy of my life. The main thing is rest don't try to overdo it plz, just listen to doctors and rest take it easy. You have so much support and prayers going up for you. Let someone else handle the stressful things for a bit and you concentrate on your recovery and get better. Our thoughts and prayers for you from our whole family.
Wow! What a crazy, freak accident. I am so glad that it isn't worse. Prayers being sent up for you. Thank you for sharing this. I'm sure it was difficult.
Can you tell you are loved? 1100 comments and lots of dollars later shows what a special woman and competitor your fans and friends feel that you are. My wife and I met you and Walter at EJS two Aprils ago and can attest to that "specialness" that proves you are worth all of the loving effort that is being sent your way. Here's to a complete recovery; we'll be watching!
When I had a serious car collision in 2001, T boned at 50mph, the neck and shoulder pain was soo intense they believed I had broken my neck. A neck brace was placed on me, the drivers door was cut off, i was placed on a spine board and taken to hospital. I sprained my goddamn shoulder! But, the week after, holy crap! I was in so much pain. Now, I commented on your recovery video, but seeing ypur actual accident..... now I know why I have damage to my discs. I completely forgot about that impact, it's direction and 20+ years later I still have issues. No lifting or bending for me now either.
Hollie, first, best wishes on a good recovery. It will take time. Take it easy and heal. Second, we now have another thing in common. Three years ago, I slipped in some mud at Hawk Pride in Alabama and did the same thing to my T11, T12, and L1 vertebrae. It will take time, let your bones heal. Do your PT, they know what will help you strengthen that area to help the healing. If you need to talk about it, you know how to reach me. Much love and a very light hug!
Oh Hollie, I am so sorry and my heart goes out to you. I've injured my T7 & T8 as well as my L5 at the sciatic pivot point. I completely understand the pure terror and the pain which is absolutely indescribable. You feel it EVERYWHERE. The recovery will be a journey and will require time, but you'll get there eventually. I wish you a full and speedy recovery.
Thank you for the update. I've been praying for you. It is good to see you in such good spirits. You just keep putting videos out there, we will watch them.
Dear Holly, i hope you get well soon. As someone with a recent serious back injury i understand how you feel. Just remember to stay positive and good things and blessings will come with it. A loyal subscriber Bobby is on your side ❤
So sorry to see you injured Holly! I know you will be your spring back from this . Looking forward to your full recovery ! I really enjoy watching your videos !
On Oregon's behalf, we're sorry. Oregon hurts me every damn day. The fear and pain in your voice made me cry. I have severe scoliosis and while it's obviously not the same thing I'm just so sorry.
You will feel this for the rest of your life. Best of luck with it. I hurt my back as a teenager in hockey and it has been a battle ever since. Sorry to see you go though this.
Years ago I suffered a compression fracture of three vertebrae in my back, in an ATV accident. Was not fun, but I fully recovered, with no surgery, and was eventually pain free. You will be good! Prayers and good vibes coming your way!
First, you got this! Second, be patient with yourself & let others help you. My sister went through a similar compression & fracture a year ago. She wore her brace, did her physiotherapy, and is back to normal. Her pain decreased relatively quickly and I hope yours does as well. Thirdly, you got this! 😎
I've had to lower back surgeries in my life the first one I was 15 my second one was 10 years later I have five herniated discs and nerve damage down both my legs back pain is no joke I feel for you and my prayers go out to you I hope you heal soon and fully God bless
As someone who's suffered a couple of severe back injuries, there's nothing more instantly debilitating. Take good care of yourself Hollie, follow your doctor's and physiotherapist's instructions to the letter and you'll come out fine in a while. Get well soon, we'll be watching and pulling for you.
I was catching my self tensing up watching you getting pulled out of that vehicle. Have 3 breaks over my 62 years and will never be painless but it was still fun getting this far. I am glad to hear your break is on the outside and not the nerve side. I'm just glad you already had a prognosis for us in this video. Just let your body heal and I'll see you on your next adventure.
Thank you Hauser Fire!
I want to "thumbs up" this video, but not because I am liking that you are hurt, but that you are alive. I am hopeful as well as praying for your recovery, as back injuries take a long time to heal. Hollie, I know your tenacity will get you through this. Allow yourself time to heal, both mentally and physically. You have such as support network willing to help--let them--us--help you where we can! We have so much appreciation and respect for you, Walter, and the extended MM family.
So glad you are not paralyzed. So sorry this happened to you. You are one tough cookie.

All that from a wrong landing in a basketball game. My legs were not bent so my back absorbed all the impact. Sending you healing vibes. I was in tears watching because it brought back memories. Take care of yourself and listen to the Doctors, your mobility is very important at your young age. God bless and you're in my prayers.
So sorry you were injured. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery. ❤️
I live about 5 miles from the dunes. I grew up here and it seems every summer there is tragedy. It's dangerous out there. I hope you recover quickly and I'm glad it wasn't worse.

Blessings to you Hollie for a full recovery!
My goodness Hollie. Hope you have a full speedy recovery!🙏
Prayers and best wishes!❤
Hollie, first, best wishes on a good recovery. It will take time. Take it easy and heal. Second, we now have another thing in common. Three years ago, I slipped in some mud at Hawk Pride in Alabama and did the same thing to my T11, T12, and L1 vertebrae. It will take time, let your bones heal. Do your PT, they know what will help you strengthen that area to help the healing. If you need to talk about it, you know how to reach me. Much love and a very light hug!
I wish you all the best in your speedy recovery, please get well and take care of yourself
WOW! We'll watch anything you put on your channel, Holly! Praying for a speedy recovery!
So sorry you had to go through this. Intuition or Spidey senses....listening to them is sometimes priceless. Take care and prayers for your healing.
Prayers for a speedy recovery. These things happen so quick. Take it easy give yourself enough time to recover . God Bless.
Thank you for the update. I've been praying for you. It is good to see you in such good spirits. You just keep putting videos out there, we will watch them.
Get well soon, Holly!! So scary! Keep up the positive attitude and you'll be back wheelin soon enough.
Dear Holly, i hope you get well soon. As someone with a recent serious back injury i understand how you feel. Just remember to stay positive and good things and blessings will come with it. A loyal subscriber Bobby is on your side ❤
Praying for a quick full recovery with no complications. I love your positive attitude and pushing through and keep filming. Love you Holly.
So sorry to see you injured Holly! I know you will be your spring back from this . Looking forward to your full recovery ! I really enjoy watching your videos !
I pray you have a swift and complete recovery.
Prayers for a speedy recovery. You got this Hollie
Hollie, prayers for you and a speedy recovery. We all love you and have our total support.
Love you Hollie. Can't wait to see you back at it. Get well first!!! See you soon back at your shenanigans. Gotta love a good compression fracture.
