    thank you so much for this, a storm hit and the power went out for a few minutes then came back on but only one area of our house had power back and we were so confused. our mom is on a business trip and my little sister and i are left here alone, we were clueless on what the problem was. but after watching this i was able to restore the power in our house, thank you! 🙏🏽

    Thank you! Saved me calling an electrician. I had tried to do it myself, but did not flip it back to "on" immediately, so it went back to that part-way place he shows. Tried again as he suggested, and the frig and washer are back on! I think the switch was "part-way" on and I didn't realize it. Went back out to garage, did it exactly like he explains in the video. Eureka!

    It’s 0150 in Dallas Texas and I’m not sure what I was thinking other than we have a sleet and snow storm and I plugged in my new heater and the house became quiet and the TV went out and the all my little plug in heaters went out. I didn’t want to wake up my neighbor so I went to my U Tube guide and you saved me Big time!! Thanks for the easy video you had posted several years ago! I was nervous about fixing this problem but I pulled my Big girls pants up and bravely went to the garage and found the panel box and Flipped That Switch and WaLa I came in the kitchen and I could hear the heaters coming to life!! Thanks So Much! Now I can get to bed and sleep in my bed and not worry about how cold it will be today!!! Thanks again 🙏😊

    When turning a breaker back on find the breaker that needs to be turned on then stand to the side of beaker box so only your hand is in danger zone, look away and then turn breaker back on. If a arc flash(rare) happens only your hand will be exposed.

    a little bit extra for ppl, (on our house at least, since the breaker box is outside) you have to lift the thing up, and then theres another door that you have to slide a thingy to open

    My house was built in the 40's I know at least one side all breakers are on when flipped to the outside of the panel. So does that mean the other side is on if flipped to the outside also. I have no idea where the breakers go on the left side and I can not find anything shutting off when I flip them.

    What happens when it just won’t get untripped? I’m doing the exact same thing and it just stays tripped. Even tho I keep turning it on and off to untrip.

    • @bwhite661
      @bwhite661  5 месяцев назад

      Either the circuit breaker itself is bad or something that you have plugged in that's connected to that circuit breaker is causing it to stay tripped. First, try unplugging everything that is plugged into that circuit then flip the breaker and see if that works. If not, you'll need to get the breaker replacedd.

    Hi..what happened when it's still in the middle

    • @bwhite661
      @bwhite661  4 года назад +4

      A tripped circuit - when the breaker ends up in the middle like shown in the video - can be caused by a variety of reasons. The most common is an overloaded circuit. So maybe you have too many things plugged into the same circuit and they are drawing more power than the circuit breaker is designed for. For example you might have a portable heater plugged in and running and then you use a hair dryer plugged into the same circuit. This could trip the breaker because those two items draw alot of power. There are other reasons explained in this article that could be more serious. www.thespruce.com/why-circuit-breakers-trip-1824676

    • @bwhite661
      @bwhite661  3 года назад

      You could have a short circuit somewhere that won't allow it to reset. Could be a faulty breaker although not as likey. Time to call an electrician.
