this game brings me the absolute opposite of joy almost every time I play it but I know I just need to git gud. and every now and then theres a raid that makes it all worth it for just a few minutes before I get bent over again.
Getting to the place where you are consistantly average at tarkov is rough, dont feel bad, it takes ages to get there, nobody is good at tarkov - just some people are more shit than others
The worst is when you die geared up within the first 2mins. I rush to the closest loot I spawn to, loot it. Then I go somewhere close by and just listen for a few mins. You can listen to gun fire and gauge what's going on. I repeat this on certain spots of the map and it's increased my survival rate by a lot. I think people tend to try to get good loot as fast as they can so they feel less bad when they die, gotta take your time. Unless your a scav (late game).
I killed a geared guy on interchange with a ppsh right when he opened medical room on interchange and there was a ledx. Tarkov is a drug. He also had a rpk with like 41 vertical recoil which is insane
I came from DayZ 300+hrs. Tarkov’s coming on pretty naturally, I’ve avoided most of these mistakes due to awesome content creators like yourself. Thanks for the great tutorial and links to resources! New sub 4 U!!!
Had multiple raids yesterday full kitted trying to get a dorms quest done. Would kill a couple guys then die to the next group... Then today I go in and have basically nothing and see a 3 man sprinting from spawn. I hide and hear a huge gun fight. Wait 5 minutes and spray the single survivor with the ppsh while he was healing... I look around and see 5 bodies to loot. Tarkov is like crack honestly
Very well done video homie! This should definitely help new players. I know I would’ve loved a guide like this! Much love man and keep up the great content! XD
Gear fear and not knowing what to loot, and selling to the wrong trader usually team up and lead to me giving up after a few losses. I'm always too fucking scared to bring out any good gear I do find because I don't want to lose it, and when I do, I'm so stressed about dying that it hinders my gameplay. And I don't know what to loot, or whom to sell it to, so when I'm successful, I don't make a ton of money, so I feel like it's difficult to maintain decent gear, which feeds back into my gear fear, and these things ultimately add up to me quitting after a couple losses. Usually for months. And then I lose all the loot I was worried about to resets anyway. Kinda dumb. But watching this has inspired me to invest a little more time learning what I should be looting and where to sell it, and get back out there and keep playing.
if i have just bad raids and i die everytime i usually just take a break for a few hours or if its late i just go sleep and i go play again next day. This helped me alot and i suggest this to everyone, just a short break for a few hours is ussually enough
Acctually igolnik has best pen but low flesh 2 tap only makes sense when the second bullet hits the head and the first hits somewhere else. To chest it is 3 hits
I just started playing a month ago and the other day I started off bad with a couple deaths but hopped in one more raid and it turned out to be my best raid ever and I kept going, ended the night with the most money I’ve ever had and leveled up a few times and started to get out of task hell where before I was struggling to complete tasks
Brooo, I've been in this game for some years, and turns out you're THE youtuber that has my exact play style! Awesome! I'd really like to play with you :3
That last bit of information at 17:06 is the most important one in my opinion, it will help you in every walk of life. You could think of it in stages, just because you had a bad raid beforehand, does not mean your next raid will be awful. Getting over your negative mindset is key in continuing and developing your skills, because at the end of the day. Have you really learned anything if you continue along the same path?
Just wanna throw out that Peacekeeper LVL 2 expands his inventory massively, and he often sells at good value (flash drive @ 40k sells for $550ish, which is closer to 55/56k). Since you need to spend $11k to get LVL 2 it might be worth dumping stuff to him sometimes to get access to all those mods/weapons
2:25 You bet your ass you'll see me carrying around one slot junk like matches, t-plugs, cigarettes, etc etc etc. because: 1. You get bonus looting exp the first time you actually put any item you find in a raid into your inventory (Meaning for example once you grab some matches, you won't get bonus exp for grabbing any more that raid so you can ignore it.) You can then just put it back or drop it or keep it because... 2. Junk-grabbing is a big fuck you to any person who kills you trying to go through your loot, especially if you put all your junk at the top of your vest, pockets, or backpack so they have to spend more time going through all the worthless stuff first to get to any good stuff you found. It frustrates them and wastes their time, in some situations forcing them to leave your body and your gear because they were taking too long sorting through your stuff. 3. Most junky 1 slot items aren't that heavy anyway, but if you're really a speedfreak you should rebind your discard key to something accessible so that you can simply drop all your junk when needed.
I just got this game a week ago and love playing solo being a noob. I have always loved the concept of stealth but every single game that has tried it has made it annoying. In Tarkov It's stealth out of logic and necessity not some forced mechanic. It's so satisfying and you can't truly experience it through watching videos. Learning extract points? Having to learn a map in detail? I hated everything about this game at first but it's amazing and everyone should push through the early on noob frustrations of this game. You don't have to be geared out to enjoy this game. You DO need videos like this and endless google searches though lol.
I'm way too conservative when I play. I hardly run towards gun fire, and if I go toward it in general I'm slithering in the grass like a sneky snek. But I feel like I'll gain more confidence the farther I progress. I can't say this playstyle is hurting the bank though, because I've definitely only been profiting, I just feel like a scum bag / noob for not going for more gunfights.
don’t run straight at fights, run at an angle so you get the other guys running at the fight. never take the first firefight. always the second or third bc less people will show up when you are looting
@@davidbrewer6172 Thank you both a ton, I've been getting more used to the AI and how to approach them, so I'm not so scared of getting insta-1 tapped anymore, game has a huge learning curve and I'm still pretty bad at the actual shooting lmaoo

I'm still very new, but I find more success on customs than I do on factory, but factory I run into other players more so that's probably why. Also I like the sks and while it's nice for long range gunfights and does more damage the reload time is too long for those short range engagements. I just need one more shotgun before I can get the ak 74u and I think I'll go back to factory and blow a bit of money practicing that. I could use the couple sitting in my stash, but I find it hard using stuff that I can't replace as easily. I'd be very proud of myself if I was close to 35% survival rate. Was 30% at beginning of wipe, now with all the Killa armored PMC teams, I'm at 18% from 100 raids, lvl 13. Cant do missions if you die.

i agree with everything on this but the 2nd "mistake" the value of items is determined by the person picking it up maybe they need an item for a trade or just because they have space and weight there are very few objects in the game that have 0 use just because you dont see a reason to pick up some nuts and bolts im seeing free money to construct a ammo box for cheaper. picking up everything isnt the best idea like you said knowing what the item can give you is important so how can you determine that other picked up is trash? you can have a lower determination of value but thats your decision not everyones opinion
