And they didn't say anything about it but rashford threw there shade on ronaldo for talking about the bad stuff on manchester, but ronaldo did it because it hurts him to see his old tean so behind the others in everything, and to me it seems like rashford is one of those that ronaldo says the young players dont want to listen and learn from the veterans.

    Rashford has been protected like no other player I’ve ever seen. Remove him being a local lad, an academy player, his feeding the children campaign, the racial abuse after the Euro’s, and just watch him as a player. He’s been mediocre to poor for many years and it’s been glaringly obvious if you remove all the non-football related externalities. The media, and so many people surrounding United, have genuinely appeared scared to constructively and objectively scrutinize Rashford as a football player and just as a football player. And it’s been genuinely bizarre to witness. I’ve never heard so many pundits for so long go out of their way to excuse embarrassing lack of professionalism and basic lack of effort for so long from Rashford. And I’ve genuinely never heard pundits talk about any other player needing to "have a smile" on their face while playing. Good riddance.

People increasingly use real victimhood to shield themselves from deserved criticism (I.E.-play the victim card)

    A useful comparison is Salah, who like Rashford is swift and has a good shot on goal, but that tells only a fraction of the story because Salah is a physical beast, strong and consistent as well as having considerably better skill and guile. Even without the penalties, Salah is an ever present danger, even when things are seemingly not going his way. Rashford may have a redemption story like we are seeing with Jadon Sancho at Chelsea, but neither of them have the talent or application of a first class winger like Salah.

    3:57 Rashford's goal tally looked good at the end of Ten Hag's first season in charge but, in terms of performances, he didn't play brilliantly for the whole campaign, far from it!
    He was poor for the first three months of that season, good for the two months that followed The World Cup(mostly in cup games) and then terrible for the last three months of the campaign and has been getting worse and worse since!
    Christmas has come early with news that Rashford seemingly wants to leave United but I won't let myself get too excited until I see him in another team's shirt!
    I had to laugh when Rashford's spin doctor Henry Winter said something like "Rashford has still got seven great years ahead of him".
    Given that Rashford has been poor for the vast majority of the last seven years and particularly terrible for about two years and counting, I doubt he's even got it in him to look good in The Middle East!

    To be fair to him; the biggest hurdle in him leaving was him not wanting to go. That’s good he doesn’t want to sit and cash in 350k a week for 2.5 more years. If he goes to any other league the pace of games there will be slower and more than half of league teams are of championships level so that’ll suit him. If he’s made his mind that club doesn’t want him; he can take a bit of pay cut and go to a decent big club out of England and realistically have a decent time. That’s actually good news all round. Wish him all the best; but as I United fan I want him sold ASAP. So we can get some decent players in for Amorim. Just a handful of new players can be game changers.

    • @adidasut11
      @adidasut11 12 часов назад

      I doubt he will be willing to take a pay cut just to go to another team. If anything, he would want a pay increase. The number of teams in the world that could actually pull that off financially, you could count with the fingers on one hand. And those teams have no compelling football reason to try and buy him.

    Criticism of Marcus Rashford for seeking a new challenge is unfair, especially given the media's long-standing speculation about his future. Using his commendable community work against him is particularly poor. Unlike players like Jack Grealish, Rashford faces disproportionate scrutiny, including persistent racist abuse, as seen after Euro 2020.
    Instead of tearing him down, we should focus on addressing racism in football and online spaces. Rashford’s contributions on and off the pitch deserve respect, not unwarranted criticism.

      The Grealish comparisons make no sense. You think Rashford will be getting this much heat if Man Utd were still winning and had won even two straight EPLs? Grealish is not walking around with bad body language when City plays. No one really cares about your lifestyle outside when the team is winning everything.
      It is weird to expect Grealish to get the same vitriol Rashy is getting. Seems petty and unnecessary. Argue on the merit of whether the criticism is warranted or not ...who cares about what happens with other clubs when our standards are being trampled upon? Racism? That's a lazy conclusion devoid of critical analysis and contextual evidence. Beckham wasn't black. Amad and Mazraoui are black ...our fans wanted Angel Gomes back recently. Maybe fans just appreciate talented players who work hard on the pitch.

Rashford deserves every bit of criticism. 2nd highest earner at the club & yet in a 10 year career w United, he’s had 2 good seasons 😂😂 that’s embarrassing. The fact he’s 27 & can’t run constantly on the pitch, can’t track back, can’t work hard is embarrassing.
