Fun fact, that contraption you were wondering what it was near the docks is actually a medieval lift. A person would climb inside the wheel and walk on it (think like a gerbal wheel, funny I know, right?) and as they walked, crates or giant stone blocks, things of great size and weight would be lifted off the ground and into the air to either be set on a cart for transportation, or lifted to a high level off the ground. I also loved how you said the statue in the bedroom looked like a fairytale princess, that is a statue of Duchess Anna-Henrietta of Toussaint from The Witcher, the Duchy of Toussaint is actually described as "a land looking as if it came straight out of a fairytale." So that comment just made me giggle a bit since, don't knowif you've ever played The Witcher, but if you haven't you hit the nail right on the head, Feb. Personally, I prefer houses with smaller shrines, even seen a couple that you can customize what shrines you have, because I hate Talos shrines. Hate Talos on principle itself for being a mass murderer. So that is the only downside for me in this place, it's just nice when mod authors take that extra step to show that they understand that not every player will play a character with the same universal belief. I personally play a Nord scholar who was born in Skyrim but raised in the Imperial City, through his studies, he read manuscripts and books from far and wide learning of the atrocities of Talos as much as his good deeds, thus swearing off ever worshipping him and even turning bitter against Talos and his own race for being so ignorantly blind to the truth. Great video, Feb, you always do such amazing showcases. Honestly, at this point, I'm just recommending you to friends that also play Skyrim as the "#1 Skyrim Realtor" because you just do such an amazing job, and that's putting it lightly if you ask me, at showing off so very many wondrous house mods for Skyrim. Honestly, if you could get paid for showing off these house mods, I totally think you should. Even the ones that would usually be kind of creepy to me through my own experience with them, you manage to pique my interest on them. Not to mention the humour you put into each episode only makes them even more enjoyable. Honestly, though, your memory astounds me with these showcases, I would seriously have to have a notepad with each of the rooms and just sit there going, "check... check... check... oh wait, I need to see the vault in the basement", you remembering so much just from memory is amaing.
The definition of opulence! Usually, I prefer to not have a bunch of NPCs but, in this case, they're all so beautifully dressed and add so much to the immersive feeling of this castle. It's too bad about the armory. I look forward to seeing the Part 2. Great video as always Feb. You are such an asset to Skyrim community.
I lolled when you came upon the poor unfortunate laying dead on the dock. "Oh dear, how sad", then, moving on in your shock and grief to riffle through his pockets. A Skyrim cultural norm for sure. I downloaded the original and had a lot of fun lobbing fireballs into the distance without a care in the world about what mayhem might result. I really appreciate when mod authors add new features. I really REALLY appreciate it when you give us the latest on where to go to get a secondary mod that is make or break on an otherwise great home. Without the link you shared many people would get frustrated and miss out on all that fireball goodness. I understand an entire castle comes with those catapults, so count that as a bonus eh?!
the last time I was this early to a febrith darkstar video, I didnt have any of these house mods installed 😂But I actually do have this one, Mortum castle has been a perma-install for me since I got it last year! As far as castle mods go, I think it's a struggle to maintain a balance between how many of these you have. At any one time, I only ever have two house mods of this scale installed. I think having multiple such a huge castles as player homes in the same game run makes the world feel a bit too small, and there's a HUGE selection of great castle mods to choose from. They're all-inclusive mods with everything you'd ever need or want out, so in my opinion, having too many in your playthrough diminishes the value and immersion you'd get out of just settling into one of these castle homes.
Wow, I love huge homes but even I would get lost here, lol!! Beautiful home, amazing views and CATAPULTS!!!!!! How fun are those!! Not sure I care for the dark side though but with that said, nothing is perfect and the mod author shows they truly care about their work with all the meticulous nuances added to this mod!! @@MaxWhao you can play as a vampire and live there - but there are normal beds - no coffin etc if you mean that - no special vampire themes there, no Molag Bal altar etc... very very noble

I remember this! improved a lot. moving paintings in skyrim would be cool. sometimes npcs can crash the game. I gonna check the armoury after the download. I usual live in houses like elysium estate, moddors manor, but I gonna check them out. maybe I should try to merge them into castles of skyrim, just for my load order.
I bet those guards are cold in that metal armor in a cold environment and I feel sorry for whoever is in charge of cleaning that place on a regular basis.
Wow. A LOT of Pre-Raphaelite (recognized at least eight Waterhouse, a lot of Millais, Rossetti, Collier's "Lady Godiva" (au naturel, on the horse clothed in red) mixed with genuine Medieval art...think there are some actual Raphael's and I think "Suicide of Lucretia" back in the corner...undressed lady about to stab herself, maybe a Botticelli but every painter did the lady skewering herself back then). The modder must have spent hours downloading all the "lady deshabille" artwork...gold and racy pics always go well. Behind locked doors. Rembrandts in the dining hall...all clothed in the open spaces. St. George and all the martial portraits of kings and dukes and whatever other noble titles. Armor...mostly late Medieval half plate on the catapult guards. The men at arms in the halls are wearing more. The knee armor is seems to be just the knee cops... a full poleyn usually had a piece extending up the thigh. Looks Italian. They pretty much set the style throughout Europe. Sausages! Still no onions. Like the miniature apple pies. The round wheel thing is a crane. Small ones used cranks but the heavy ones had a large wheel and they would put one or two men in there who would "walk" inside, turning the axel in the center. Probably to raise up provisions coming off the ships. Lotta Witcher art. Think that was a portrait statue of Duchess Anna Henrietta. The guy has good taste in pottery too...nice urns.
I'm going to do my good deed for the day, and help aid you with your navigation issues. Stairs going up generally take you up, and stairs going down usually lead down. Problem solved!! :) Yeah, I found the broken link to HPH too and I had to shut down my browser to stop the endless pop-up loop that that malware used. EDIT: You never mentioned it's a 3GB size file lol!
Btw that armor is straight from the Witcher! It's like the ppl whose name starts with "N" that i can't remember atm lol, also the 2 different swords like Geralt's..i'm thinking the MA loves the Witcher😂❤
Well, i usualy don't realy like this giant house mods since most of them don't seam to know what they want to do with the space and have giant undecorated empty rooms. Most stuff couls fit into way smaller spaces. Even considering a castle. But this looks pretty good i have to say.
Thats not just a castle - this is a big skyrim town inside a giant castle or keep. Oh Feb, you must live in a wrong place if you can't go dressed that nice or even better it makes people insecure of themself and just admire you 😉
the armoury works fine for me. much brighter but also it my be just my shaders. would keep it but High Poly Heads and KS Hairdos I don't use only for this one.
I love all the paintings, and like you, I don't care for the taxidermied creature heads, and the whole thing is just too bright for me. And the high poly heads in my opinion are ok, but not needed.

Breton style is a cross between British and French Medieval style.
