Aussie here, Bill used to be on daily repeats in the afternoon. I have to remind myself everyone here are actor's playing characters not actual coppers filming a documentary. So perfectly done. 👌

The good old bills were miles ahead of tripe that use to put out with the later bill. Started to turn into a soap opera instead of a program about good old coppering.

Excellent. Still just as good today. Technology has changed but methods the same. But oh what a different UK it is for the police to do their job in today, poor devils.Ace program, wish they would bring it back.

@ 29:00: funny how Carver finds the only unlikely open spot at a crowded bar. 2 pints: hope that he doesn't already have a drinking problem as a rooky.

John Saltman is great in this role but he looks way too young for it. He looks like he should be more of a rooky or a PC with just a few years. Or maybe his character was so good that he quickly rose through the ranks.

    • @scarletros

He has a young looking face but his eyes look old. I’m guessing he’s in his late 30s? DI Manson in later series wasn’t very old either. Who knows how it works.
