I’m so glad my you tube feed selected your channel for me. Love scrappy quilts and it makes my heart happy to see you using a vintage singer machine. I have a ‘54 featherweight that is so much fun to use. The clicking of the walking foot on a vintage Singer is so soothing to me ears. I am learning some very helpful hints. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your expertise!

My little Black 301A singer belonged to my mom and this was the machine that I was first taught to sew on. You are so welcome! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel!

You are so welcome! It is not as fast as stitch in the ditch method but you do get some beautiful results. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel!

I really love the Starburst pattern the stitching makes with this block and the echoing, it's so cool. Even if you just had a plain solid color fabric backing it really would dress it up, wow!.

I totally agree! Sometimes quilters will echo a few times to emphasize the starburst pattern. Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel!

I think I prefer echoing to stitch in the ditch method. It’s so hard to stay in the darn ditch. (Lol) Also, I like the variety of fabrics in this one and the pieced backing. A kid could spend hours just looking at the different fabrics. Thanks for another great video tutorial, Ms. Brenda. ❤️

I totally agree! These pinwheel blocks are so big that you can see the fabric that is child themed. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel!

What's your go to batting? Walking foots are a lifesaver for those of us who can't do all the fancy free motion. Thank you I learn something new in every video.

I prefer to use 100% cotton batting in my quilts. I don't feel it gets too hard when I quilt it too death because after the quilt is washed, the quilt has beautiful drape. I'm not over quilting any of these quilts because they are going to children. Thanks for watching and supporting our little channel!

I just discovered your channel and I love that you use a vintage machine. I have several but unfortunately don't have a walking foot for the Singers, but I do for my old Bernina. I appreciate that you explain things easily for the less experienced. I have subscribed. Thank you.

Hello Jennifer! Welcome abroad. I glad you liked this video. We also made a Facebook group if you are interested. I love my Singer 301A and it was my moms and she taught me how to sew with it. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thank you for watching and supporting our little channel.
