Messiaen's recording of this is 10:30 min long, Olivier Latry's are between 9:20 and 9:45 min and others play this in a little over 8 min. The tempo marking on my score for this is 1/8th note = 54. That comes out to around 8:30 min. Tim is right in that range so it's not "Too quick..."
