An absolute class film. Enjoyed every minute of the film in the cinema. Bob Marley had such an amazing life which was cut short. Really recommend watching it.
I’ve watched it atleast 5 times now😂😂
This was fire🔥🇯🇲 ❤️
Rip Robert Nesta Marley, you will be missed
Someone finally put the best scene of the movie up. Yes! The whole film rocks though!
Una de las mejores escenas es cuando canta jamming
Bob Marley has ❤ been the most popular player of his career
This movie was really good. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer! Kingsley did a fantastic job potraying Marley. I knew it was going to be good because the kids were involved and the trailer looked good👍
Maybe the story line good but to me they belittle Bob.
His mannerism, accent, energy didnt copy marley's.
It not convincing to me personally
Said the same thing biopic need to be at least 2 1/2 hours
@@aharonbenyisrael8387maybe there will be an extended version maybe
@@teshawn5675facts. Bob was a radical trench town hood lum raised in the slum
A Netflix series would be great 👍🏼
I saw this movie 8 times in the theater. 😁 Now it's gone. 😔
Wow! I saw it twice and when they reduce the online price, I will buy it from Prime video
@@Underdeblood23 I subscribe to the AMC A-list so it was a lot easier that way. The sound was so great and I really like the way they put this biopic together. I just kept going back. I do intend to buy the Blu-ray.
Biopic is Oscarworthy. Everybody complaining without going to see it.
The money and support that backs the film will put Jamaica into consideration for more $$ behind it's films and more $$ pouring into JA economy short & long term, incl tourism.
It's great you're showing the scene from the movie, but I wish you wouldn't have. The $$, dollars, views, and interest generated are what add to bless up wi country. Pirating and bootleg - especially of this film will do the exact opposite.
Seeing it in the theater definitely added to the experience! Saw it 3x. I made it my personal mission to support the film in the theater.
Wow, i saw it a couple times glad i can relate! I enjoyed the film so much i kept wanting to get up and dance. 😂
People like to tear things down but one of the many great thing about this movie other than the excellent actors is how close to the truth the writer came about the things that happened to Bob during that time period. The director also deserves an Oscar nom along with the actors. Anyone who disagree has to write their own story of Bob’s life.
Exactly
The family, specifically Rita Marley and Ziggy Marley helped produce this movie. I think the movie was excellent. ⭐️
Exodus is my favourite Bob Marley track.❤ Brilliant Brilliant written song.❤
We 💕 you Bob, Rita and Jamaica!!! Exodus Movement of the people!! We jamming still to your 🎶🎶🎶🎶♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥👑👑😍😍🌹🌹💖💖💕💪😇😇🙏🕊️✨👑♥️💖❤️
He said movement of Jah people, the real Israelites!
I watched this 3 times! It’s so good!
I love the movie 😍😍
Loved this Movie ❤❤❤❤❤❤
BOB MARLEY NOS REPRESENTOU DA MELHOR FORMA..
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Bob would’ve been proud to be represented in this fashion although no one can replace him.
This scene is very realistic. It is like we are voyeurs peeking in on how the song 'Exodus' came together in 1977. The setup is so natural. At 2:36 I love how they have a band member in the background taking a 'smoke break' outside while the other band members are working on the song. Was he later reprimanded by Bob for not participating in the session? You know, Bob Marley could be a taskmaster. How about the guy on the sofa hitting a tea cup with a spoon? I love his contribution to the song using makeshift percussion. There are so many elements in this clip that are just easygoing/informal. Look at Rita sitting down at the table trying to get into the song while getting high. We can't tell whether she approves of how the song is coming together or not. I mean, is she really into it? The acting is all around believable. At 1:30, notice how the guy who is reading a magazine looks up at the other guy walking by him. You can't plan for that, but that's what helps sell a scene as legitimate. And in that very same shot, Junior Marvin is strapping on his guitar. So we know he's ready when Bob Marley asks, "Junior Marvin, what ya have?" And listen to the tone in Bob's voice when he calls on Junior Marvin. He actually stops playing guitar to give him the spotlight because he is so interested in what Junior will conjure up. It is like Bob is really putting a lot of pressure on him as the newest member of the band. Junior still has to prove himself. 😁
Ppl complaining bc a real Jamaican did not portray Bob Marley. Good grief everything is not going to be EXACTLY the same. The movie was excellent. So let it be. ❤
exodus!
The Marley family had final say on the actor to play Bob. If it’s good enough for them, should be good enough for the rest of us.
@@DSOconnor33 exactly
Exactly right about that
Bob Marley is half British lol
One of my favorite scenes in the film
Loved this film and Ben Adair's sensitive portrayal of Robert Nesta Marley
Well said his goal was to capture Bob’s personality and spirit as an artist
This west Indian guy are so talented and shine so bright fantastic film I am jamming to fabulas people in this film😊😊😊😊❤😂😂🎉
One love.😢
They called him skipper . That alone let you know the respect and love his guy's had 4 him

About to buy the DVD no matter the price. . . .
When you see JaH life🇯🇲🦋❤️
I wish that the movie would cover more aspects of bob life, like he started with peter and bunny
I dare say a lot of you insulting this movie never even watched it. Correct? I was skeptical going to watch it myself but walked away wanting it to be longer and loving it. I was pleased how well the Jamaican accent was executed too.
Well said. Thank you.
Big up
grate film kingsly did the marleys pround
Isso é espiritual,a musica vive e liberta.
Nice
I think that all the actors did a really good job. Obviously none of Bob Marley's son wanted to play the role of their father in the movie. Are we going to get a perfect replica of Bob Marley? Hell no! What is wrong with some of you people.
Bless you breda..
None of the sons could have done better..
Ky Mani Marley look just like him
@@themagicians1122ky is overweight
Think about this. That person had to have an intimate relationship with Rita. How could a son pull that off. Make it make sense.
His grandson played the young him and looks just like him
A THEY SHOULD MAKE A DENNIS BROWN MOVIE NEXT
I wish someone would. The prince of Reggae.
Dennis Brown Family don't have 70 million US.
Would not get much support from Jamaica much less Hollywood.
a bob marley musical
One off thé Black men That lived.they Killing you to.jah,is à wittness they Will paye. Black power, one love
If the film portrays the bright world of Bob Marley at that time, the book "A Brief History of Seven Killings" depicts the dark and dangerous world of Bob Marley's inner circle in Kingston, especially Trench Town, and the subsequent assassination attempt and the behind-the-scenes of the Peace Concert.
No other book on reggae captures the atmosphere of that time as well.
What is the piece of music that is playing when he comes down the stairs? Been trying to find it for ages.
Theme of Exodus by Ernest Gold

How can i download the movie is it out now 😮

The creative process wid ole time artists was juss like dis…a man go studio n hum a tune n the musicians who deh bout, pick it up n flesh out the riddim….that’s y it is so sad n unfair dat the Barrett brothers got shafted…
Except that song was written about Cindy Breakspeare, not Rita
What is the relevance of bringing that up here? This clip is the point when Exodus was being composed. Why do you people always make a point to bring up that lady. Was she his wife? Was she there from the beginning? Did she help when he was developing himself??? Or did she join to ride the wave AFTER he became famous?. Kmt. Stop bring she up. She is not even the one to ensure his legacy is living on. Kmt!
@@kaygieann33 Because if you saw the movie you'd see that they showed the Turn Your Lights Down Low scene
anyone know the name of that song that was playing out loud ??

JA MAN.
Great movie.... people complaining just wanted the actor to be jamaican i guess 🤷🏽. Has nothing to do with the movies quality
No pasa nada con este Bob marley
Throwing a curve at y’all, Bob denounced Rasta and converted to Christianity in his final year of life. Look that S?!t up! Rip Bob.

He's so cute. Did a great job, but that is just not Bob. ❤
Dude made great music but he was a straight up womanizer. I said what I said
Much better than Diddy and R Kelly
What is a womanizer?
@@freedomsong9747 Sleeps with a lot of women, doesn't commit to one
This is kinda tied to his Rastafarian belief. If you know the Bible, you will understand their belief being connected to the practices of King Solomon, who had several wives and concubines. This womanizing thing is actually very common in the Caribbean too. My father was a Rasta, and I grew up in the islands myself. A lot of men had extra marital affairs and children outside their marriage. My mom was actually an "outside child." There's nothing to see here...
@@InsightWave99exactly
nope...cant get use to Ken playing Marley...any of his sons woulda been a perfect fit in terms of looks authentic patwa voice etc...any other jamaican aswell...but to use a black american, who dont even has history with reggae or deep roots in any thing black or african which shows in his reenactment, was a poor choise...if you have to play black/african/afrocaribean instead of just being it , its not gon work...and even look awkard since you are inauthentic with being who you are natrually suppose to be.
See, right here I know that you don't know what you're talking about. 'Ken' is British, not American, and he has Caribbean roots. I can't take the rest of what you said seriously.
@@openspringsright 😂😂
I don’t get why they had to add black makeup to Lashana’s skin. We get that Rita was dark skinned. 🙄
I think they should have found someone with bigger lips and nose. And smaller eyes too omg
He doesn't have a clue who Bob is or what Rasta is😅
No
Yes
I really wish they had a Jamaican or Jamaican descendent play this role. I’m tired of roles like this given away to people that’s not from the culture or the place itself.
Wow!
Lashawn’s (Rita) is of Jamaican descent
You not a real fan of Bob then because his whole message was about everyone of African descent being one loving culture. Plus dude his Trinidadian and his kids handpicked him to play Bob.
We are one Caribbean culture the actor is a Caribbean person except for some small similarities. Obviously you never heard about Marcus Garvey and never listen to Bob Marley PANAFRICAN album African unite. Black people are ONE we all had the same common history. Please also read Cheikh Anta Diop, it will change your life. “History ERASES Mystery” as baba James Small would say.
Could’ve fooled me tbh. I thought the man was Jamaican. He looked so natural
Rastafari
Not a good movie first one love the is so much better
I’m not spending my money for that movie
So don’t! 🙄
Well don't! Why do you want us to know? Why come on this clip about the same movie just to say that? Wha de point? A look you a look attention?

@jonmacdonald5345 well, the use of the word "like" means he is making a comparison and not saying you ARE a movie. Maybe you need to educate yourself on the literary devices of the English language before you insult someone's educational capabilities. 🤦🏿♀️
