In your setup of a new project, even though you're not selecting "New environment using virtual environment", you're still creating a virtual environment correct because I could see that after you've selected "Add Interpreter", the interpreter was running out of a Virtual Environment tab? I'm asking because my first.py file is running out of venv but I see your first.py file as a stand-alone file running out of the project folder.
You can click on left side icon present in location box.. then goes to + sign icon and add new directory give name to your directory and use it for your directory location.
