Missin’ the Bass Cat? Those MN winters will do that to a guy. Hope whatever your ride ends up being it’s not too late in the season, supply chain be d@**ed 😂.
Hellabass, have you seen the Ken Smith bassboat search videos he did last year? He has probably the best and most objective (as possible) comparison that I’ve seen.
Rick I have seen some of them, if I remember correctly, he was mostly looking at 21' boats and if I am being completely honest, his videos were way too long for my patience level lol
@@HellaBass, you may already know what your new boat is going to be or even have it on order. If not, he did do several requested 20 foot boat reviews. I’m very sure he did a review of BCB 203 Hybrid and a Puma FTD, I think he also did a Phenix, Skeeter, maybe a Caymas 20ft models. Most of his videos are 2 parts for each boat, part 2 has the scoring. Good luck.
Rich do you plan on testing all major manufactures? Was staying with BC ever a thought? I don't have much knowledge with Caymas so not sure of first year of manufacture. With that being said I've been told on more than one occasion it's not bad idea to allow any new mfg to have no less than 5 yrs in production having had time to work out any kinks/flaw issues if any. Every Caymas owner I've ever ran in to talked highly and were happy with it. Whichever decision you end up making will be the right one because you are the one making it. First year for BassCat 1971 I think. Over 50 yrs they better have all kinks worked out lol . Sorry so long winded heck I'm excited for ya #basscatpuma4life Been catching on bed for 2 wks now don't see how The Chick would be mostly pre-spawn deal when been lots on bed Ky. Lake possibly 2 1/2 to 3 wks now.
Just looked at bunch of boats...having just sold my skeeter zxr. the bass cats feel the smallest in the cockpit and on the bow. I ride in a cougar often... they land soft, but the side to side is a bit jarring. Very well made, but a little odd too. Basscat just seemed a bit overpriced in my opinion. Their packages are not really comparable to others, yet are more expensive. I bought the caymas... next choice would have been a skeeter fxr.

Looking for a boat myself. Your walkthroughs are certainly a benefit to me. Thanks Brother.
Great to hear Jeff, I have plans for several more boat walk thrus this year
Love the paint job on that thing too.

Huh?
Just caught a 5lber on a DJ omnia jig in 48 degree water with your code
Nice!! Bass cannot resist a discounted jig lol
Nice boat, who owns Caymas boats, can you get these with the quieter Suzuki engine...
Caymas Boats was developed by Earl Bentz, they are their own company. And yes they can be ordered with Suzuki
@@HellaBass enough said the racing boat legend...
When you said "no lithium batteries.....at this point!" Praps a little foreshadowing?
I did not buy that boat
Foreshadowing? I thought you might be going aluminum, but now I'm not sure which way you are going. I love the little bit of fishing in this video!
Not gonna lie, it felt good to edit some fishing footage
@@HellaBass I am getting twitchy......can see the ice getting darker. Boats all ready. Will need to get a WI fishing license soon.
@@bassmastermatt I was getting twitchy until I saw my kids sports schedule in April 😮💨😪

Thnx Rick, he does have a ton of good info, just not concise 😄
Lots of legroom and co angler storage in that boat. Can even fish 2 on the front deck. I approve.
Looks like some has figured out what boat they are getting. Sweet ride
Caymas is one badass looking boat imo.
Very much agree John
Is that bald eagle lake?
Horseshoe Chain up by Richmond, MN
Average price for these boats ?
Depended how they are loaded I think you are looking $80-90k range

How did it load lol😂
very easy
@@HellaBass how did it unload 5 inch drop
@tom heun didn't notice anything, water level must have been right not to be an issue. Or the tandem axle trailer Bridged the drop
Those caymas boats look so good
They are a sharp looking fishing platform
Yeah Aaron when are we gonna talk about it ? 🤣🤘🎣
We don't talk about Bellows....

Who needs a boat when you have a fraction of a ball cap.... 😄😄😄

Hmmmm, test driving a caymas... looks like last fall... sold old boat 🤔
