Is it a night and day difference in how the bike feels? I wanna do something like this on a 600 along with pretty extreme weight reduction and a built motor with all the performance goodies, try and run somewhere between 12-15 lbs of boost
@@ethanclark6859 yeah bro the best money you could spend would be to trade up to a 1000. A full exhaust and pc3 would just about pay to trade. You virtually double the torque on tap at cruising speed and the bikes are basically identical in size and weight.
@@J.D.Shelnutt I mean 1000 to 600 is a big step in weight, going from like 420 to 540 pounds. I figure with the extra horsepower from a turbo on a 600 it would be worth it solely because of weight savings. But idk, I’d have to look into it more
No it’s 9 1/2 - 1 compression ratio. Hp at 8 pounds around 210. Garrett T20 Lag is very little, boost starts pushing around 4500 rpm. Bike has 40,000 miles
@@kkeith15getz what turbo and parts were used? That sounds like a lot considering u can buy Hayabusa turbo kits for 3k which are made to be bolt on aswell
I live right here. Noticed firehouse bagels. So crazy
Can you please do and overview showing and talking about everything you did to make this work etc.
Those roads look fun af.
Yes
That is epic!
I have a 04 k5. Thinking about doing possibly an n/a build and focus on heads. How much $$$ do you have in the build parts only?
No labor 4000
Do you ever roll race with it? I'm assuming it's stock head and Lower end? Just thicker head gasket correct?
Yes. Stock with thicker head gasket
@@kkeith15getz well if your still in the area it would be pretty neat to link up and do an all motor vs turbo build race
What did you do for your fuel system ?
Removed the pump from the tank and installed a bigger fuel pump out side of tank. Rising rate fuel regulator and kept the stock injectors. Pump gas
@@kkeith15getz Okay thanks considering doing a turbo build real soon and trying to gather as much info as I can

My 06 1000 would eat that bike from the look of it
@@J.D.Shelnutt that’s cool.

Where did you get the turbo kit
Build your own
Stock compression ratio?
Hp?
Boost?

Engine mileage?

@@bandi_TEE A thicker head gasket
At 210 whp the bike would wheelie or spin every it came on boost. That doesn’t look close.
Do you still own this???
Yes
@@kkeith15getz how has she held up? What kinda miles have you done!
Perfect 40000 miles
@@kkeith15getz thanks bro! I really wanna do this! But I'm struggling to find a manifold atm
Ur going to get jack
Short shifting and not a single hard pull.
Picturesque part of the world - where is it coz you're on the wrong side of the road so its not uk 🙃
How much did it cost to turbo?
5K
