    I have a GLK350 2010 and I have the exact same problem, water leaking from the roof, exactly from the passenger side. Dealership wont do nothing about it beside charge me a lot of money, I fixed it myself thanks to your video. I bet a lot of mercedes owners out there have the same issue and they have not talked about it or they just dont know what to do. This issue should be considered as a recall, and dealerships should fix it for free.

      Yes. I have this Problem with my Mercedes 2012 C300. When there is a hard rain. I no longer have a garage so the car fills up on the passenger side wells under the front passenger seat. This is a poor design and should be a recall issue. I have had many cars with sunroofs that Never Leaked. This is the only one having this problem.

    Water got in my car too after a rain storm. C300 2013. Unfortunately the water caused electrical damage and now it may be a total loss. It’s unfortunate how common this is and true of what one commenter said, Mercedes should have recalled. It’s sad, I loved my car. It’s white like the one in your video, with beige leather interior. Very informative video. Thanks!

    You should never put pressure on those roof drains. You can blow the drain hoses off of the nipples under the window frame. Then all of the water will drain into the headliner and you'll have to pull the liner down to replace the hoses. The trick is you have to remove the spider traps on the bottom end of the drain hoses. They trap debris and cause the water to back all the way up to the roof window. They should be in the A piller near the bottom. Just take the rubber or plastic trap off the end and they should drain.

    You need to remove each wheel and the plastic wheel covers to then clean out the drains. The drain looks like a + sign.. why they made it so small is beyond me. Each corner should have one. Their is another video that shows this process I described above. Forcing it this way may cause other issues but I am not a mercedes tech.. I would rather play it safe. Also, in time, they will clog again so I just plan to open the rest of them up.

    I've got this exact scenario going on in my 2010 W212 E63 AMG and it's been driving crazy ! - That panoramic sunroof is such a bad design with gaps everywhere !!... What were the guys at Mercedes thinking when they designed these cars ??, As much as I love the sunroof, If this carries on anymore, and I can't unblock the drains, then the black silicone sealant is coming out and I am sealing the whole damn roof in all the gaps ! - So far I've lost my ESP and my transmission is super jurkey at low throttle more than normal !

    I've tried everything to find out why that water is there with no results, although its not really much but I don't like it. Sometimes there's humidity in the left side cover of the trunk, but nowhere else... i've poured water from every part of the roof and the trunk lid but nothing happens.
    In México city it's rainy season and it rains pretty hard, so I'm concerned about finding what's wrong.
    There's no water or humidity anywhere else in the car...

    If you park with trunk facing back the SAM in the rear at the lowest point (under spare tire on right side by drain plugs under fuse box) will short out a lot of electrical systems from water or corrosion. Just terrible MB engineering sadly.
    I bet you have leaves or something built up blocking your overflow water reservoirs above the headliner from sunroof plug reservoir. Why? You stated after heavy rain storm you have problems. System gets overloaded and it’s not just the main line that’s plugged but also your water overflow reservoir is likely filled up with crap. It looks like you gave it a good cleaning. How are your electrical systems behaving? Best of luck!

    Same car and same problem here. Very disappointed. I have realized that it's not much the air intake in the motor bay area but the sunroof has some type of drainage that after the years the rubber seals become weak and water seeps in through the panels inside the car. You are right about the front but in my case it's even worse through the top of the car. the root of the problem is the sunroof rubber seals.

I checked the Sunroof seals and they are ok also declogged the water pipe in the front as you showed and it looks ok. Can you please show how you cleaned the drain in the bottom to see if this could be the issue? Thank you very much!

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  Год назад +1

      Hi. I'm sorry to hear that you have this water problem. Most likely you have the same problem like the one on the video, open the sunroof and put plenty of water on the drain and if it takes too long for the water to drain, that would tell you that the drains needs to be clean, remember when it rains super hard and the drains are not fully clean, they would overflow and that water is going to end up inside your car. In some cases the drain lines are off and the water will go in your car instead of going in the drain line and that would be hard to fix. Usually the water drains are located in the front and back by the tires on the corner of the mudflaps,(i use mudflap as a reference even if dont have them) if you carefully put water on the drains you should see some water coming from the corner of the mudflap and clean them from the bottom. One thing that would help is if you park the front of your car higher than the back, in case of heavy rain that position would help the water flow to the back instead of gather in the front and overflow your drains.

    • @hackerskates
      @hackerskates  2 года назад +1

      I found this on internet you may have a ( bad Amplifier or bad audio module)
      The Amplifier gives us sound from the radio, you need to have the circuit checked
      on 08 C300 Mercedes at 165k, not uncommon from Amplifier to fail, but first check power to it
      If all speakers quit at same time ,that will be more eveidence of failed amp.
      If there is the power to the amplifier after you check it or have it checked it and no sound, then for sure, it will be the amplifier, and all the speakers quit working at the same time, if there is no power to amplifier, then you have to go back from the radio and trace back where power is lost to the amplifier connector because of a defective radio or audio module or wiring short or an open.
      It is not uncommon for the amplifier to fail on them. On higher mileage, we see radio and audio modules failing.
