We have the same boat 2016 though, great boat but steering cable broke today is what brought me to your video, grease the cable every year, I was looking for videos of how to fix but RUclips of course takes me else where lol
No problem at all I hope it was helpful! If you have any questions about them I’ll answer anything I can. Overall it’s a really nice boat especially for the money.
Thanks brother I been looking at this boat for a minute...from the info u provided I will benefit well from this boat...I'm from Louisiana in the bayou area this boat is the perfect fit for me...
Bought this boat last Spring with the 85. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment. Nothing but problems with the shifting and heavy steering. Had it several times in fast water and it was a safety issue. Just will not shift from rev to fwd without a lot of force. This morning I got a pre sunrise text from my son on the way to a duck blind and the linkage won’t let him go into forward. Luckily it was down river so he saved the hunt by floating down river and reversing it ashore. Looks like I’m finally going to have to make that 7 hour round trip drive to my dealer. Are jet drive linkage just ridiculously stiff and notchy?
Very Nice boat.. I have the 2006 G3 1860CC with a 2006 Yamaha 4 stroke 50hp motor and run most of the Connecticut river with no problems.. Yamaha motors are incredible, have this 2006 since new and have done just the routine maintenance every year and have absolutely no problems, even to this day (16 years) later it is purring like a kitten before I even get my hand of the ignition key. So impressed with Yamaha that I bought my wife a Yamaha motorcycle when we got bikes and never a problem with that either.. Awesome fishing machine and will own it for life, I've had boats that cost three times as much but my G3 is the boat I will not part with.. Can't go wrong with this style boat.
Great video. I'm looking at purchasing new, but the price seem inflated as with everything right now. Any idea what normal price should be, I want to be sure I wait it out for normal pricing. Thanks.
How is it duck hunting w a center console? Do you just use it to get to spots or do you make a blind for it and hu t out of it? As for duck hunting the 60hp tiller version would be fine. But for fishing big bodies of water im slightly worried the tiller running it wide open to get to spots will destroy my arm lol. So im on the fence for a side console. But that would drastically shrink the room for when I make a blind and hunt from it. As im looking at getting the 2070
I build a blind for mine, it works out really well actually, it gives me enough room to move around and even with all of my stuff onboard there is plenty of room for two people.
How is it in some choppy weather I know there not meant for rough weather but was curious if it can handle some tough weather in the event it comes out of no where
I am sure that it can, that is a good motor for this model in my opinion so I would defiantly reach out to some dealers and see what they say. I think Mercury is pretty backed up right now like everyone else so that might work to your advantage by freeing up another motor at the dealership to be used as needed for another boat.
Evan, how does the wiring for trolling motor/fish finder run from the bow to the console and transom? Is there a channel or conduit it runs through under the floor? Is the relatively accessible as you stick your head in through the bow storage doors?
I think I'll try to get a video up of the installation and removal of my blind this year, it's pretty easy to put on and takedown. I do leave the grab bar and windshield on it isn't really in the way at all so it works out well.
Thanks for the video review! I'm really curious how you tinted the windscreen. Is that transparent tint wrap? If so, how large a piece did it require and how did you manage the curves, heat gun?

Is there room for two on the leaner seat? Do you feel like you have plenty of room to walk around the console? Trying to decide between center console and side console 1760 roughneck.
jrgainey definitely room for two on the lean post but it can get a little tight squeezing on the sides of the console when you have fishing rods in the holders. There is a grab bar that frames the windshield and that is very helpful. It’s really not too bad but if you are in a hurry or not paying attention you can lose your balance.
M P mine clears a 7 foot garage door by about 3 inches. The fishing seats I have are actually closer to hitting than the hand bar so as long as you have standard 7 foot door or bigger you are clear!
Thanks for the video, very informative. Considering the same boat with an 85hp jet but concerned on how it will handle when I inevitably take it on the lake in some rougher waters. Have you ever done this? Anything you can share will help.
I've had mine out on some windy days and I haven't had any issues to speak of granted I'm mostly on lakes in Kentucky so there are very few spots around here where water can get rough enough to be a problem if that is helpful. I defiantly think the larger horsepower would be nice and the jet will be a benefit in the rivers also.
Do you know or could you measure the length with motor down and swing tongue open? I’m curious if that would fit in my garage. Happy new year! Tight lines!
I am buying a 1860CC. What is trolling motor shaft length you purchased ? I am getting a Terrova troller and it is offered in 45 or 60 inch. I think the 45 may not be enough.
I would probably go with the 60 if it were me. I believe on my 55" I had about 5 inches left over on the top that I used the choke to hold up but it was pretty close. I think 45 would be a bit short.
Do you have any issues filling the gas tank? Some of the boats are having issues with the gas line "burping" during filling (due to a flap in the gas line), which makes it take FOREVER to fill the gas tank.
I haven't had an issue with that yet but someone has asked me that same question at a gas station while I was willing up one day so you aren't alone in that issue.

Yeah bro, I have the Lund Predator 20cc (same boat, same company, different brand on the side, made in the same factory. I even have some parts on mine that say Lowe). These trailers are the BIGGEST pieces of sh!t ever! I broke my load guides first time I took it out and a friend of mine broke his too 1st time out. I'm about to do a 1 year review & I've got a couple other videos on here of it. These trailers are a complete joke. For the money, you'd think they could at least put it on something worth more than a Harbor Freight diy trailer. Lol.
Originally I think I got it new in the ballpark of $15,000 which I felt was a great deal at the time, it was one of those last year's model deals. The base price has increased pretty significantly over the last couple of years.

Great video! My question is do you have any problems with getting the boat back on trailer straight. I have a 2022 1860 roughneck sc and have a lot of trouble getting it on straight. Looks like same trailer.
Plastic wheel wells, light weight and bolted together EVERYTHING. 😂
I've got it down pretty good now, but I put 2 sets of upgraded load guides on mine. My biggest complaint is definitely the trailer. I'm about to do a 1 year review & I've got a couple other videos on here of it.
These trailers are a complete joke. For the money, you'd think they could at least put it on something worth more than a Harbor Freight diy trailer. Lol.
I added bunk guides to trailer . Better but still difficult getting boat on straight. I’ve resorted to putting hip boots on and doing it by hand
You're getting a bite!😂
What is the draft on this boat?
I believe it’s 24”
How much was it??
Originally I think I got it new in the ballpark of $15,000 which I felt was a great deal at the time, it was one of those last year's model deals. The base price has increased pretty significantly over the last couple of years.
I want that boat!
Bruce Stevenson check out Water Works Marine in Country Club Hills, IL they had by several thousand dollars the best price! I don’t have any interest in them at all they just treated me really well! If you are thinking of getting one let me know if you have any questions I’d be happy to answer any I can!
just bought one with the 80 jet
I bet that's the fastest jon boat that anyone can buy! Enjoy that!
whats the speed with that jet drive?
Nice boat
Thank you! It is a lot of fun.
Should hook up solar panel. I did works great
I had not considered this at the time I installed the motor but I recently put a small one on the tongue-mounted toolbox of a trailer I use a lot to keep up the battery for the winch. Overall I have been very well satisfied with it so I think I am going to get the same model and give it a shot. Thank you for the advice!
nice boat
Thank you! It has given me a lot of enjoyment!
🥰😁👍
