Just fixed my Foodi was so unhappy when I thought I was going to have to purchase another one. Then I you tube how to fix pot. Thank you for saving me. Your video is still helping people. Thanks so much.
Just found this solution and it worked exactly as expected. Thank you so much! I’m a trucker also and my ninja keeps me out of the truck stop. Now for my ribs!
I noticed he was doing this nifty little repair in a Freightliner Cascadia, was it a truck accident? So sorry for your loss. I’m also a truck driver and my Ninja Foodie quit working after only 7 uses. This fix is going to be super helpful!
This worked on my OL501 with Smart Lid. It looks exactly the same. The first wire that he removes in the video is barely long enough to reach the other screw. I ended up putting that wire on first, then the second one on top of it. The other hard part is getting the nut back onto the screw with the two wires, because the screw drops down and there isn't enough for the nut to grip. I pressed the edge of a gift card, which is narrower than a credit card, against the screw at the base to hold it up, so I could get the nut on. Thank you Roland, and rest in peace.
Sincerest condolences to his grieving family, their loss must be so difficult to bear, but it's already all out in the public domain what happened to this poor young man. It was big news in the Mariposa county area and it was all over the news, TV, radio and and newspapers. And its still out there if anyone takes the trouble to look. A little bit saddened by the reply ''it's really none of your business'', but on the other hand, it's bound to be hard for his poor mother and it's not right to expect her to recount the tragic story to strangers all over the world. It's all over the media, and maybe the person asking the question was like me, my heart was touched by his untimely sudden passing and perhaps the person merely wanted to know some more about Roland, the nice young guy who made this video. He sounded like such a clever and chirpy fella, happy to tackle problems like that and pass on his advice to others. His family's distress should also be taken into account. A tragic event, God love him and comfort his grieving family. R.I.P. Roland. It's wonderful that this video is still up on RUclips, keeping his memory alive and allowing others all over the world to realise what a special young guy Roland was.

WEEK! Look around your house, office, or car - everything you see was brought by a trucker. They put up with an amazing amount of nonsense, and almost never hear "We appreciate you!" So, in honor of my son's birthday, please go buy a card that says "thanks for all you do" and give it to a long distance trucker. You will find them around the back of any store you go to - extra kudos if you include a homemade meal. Imagine using an outdoor Port-a-potty when the temp is 20 or 100 - most stores & warehouses don't allow the drivers to come in and use the bathroom. Imagine if you had to search for a place to sleep at the end of your workday - no room to park at many truck stops. And imagine people cutting in front of you just to see how fast you can stop - it's called a "brake check." Thanksgiving? The trucks are rolling. Christmas? The trucks are rolling. And they get paid by the mile, not by the hour. The 1 hr traffic snarl is annoying to you & me, but these guys are sitting there unpaid. Time to give a trucker some appreciation!
Got one of these 2021 and am following this video. Outside screw is not T10 and inner nut/bolt assembly seems loose once nut untightened. Perhaps design has changed to prevent tampering/fix? Screw drops as nut is undone and I’m concerned it will fall inside the unit when nut is removed. Anyone met this before?
I gotta ask - how long does this Foodi last? Obviously, the company doesn't appreciate having it's life expectancy extended with this fix! They can't sell you a new one! Based on comments, I can see it is not inexpensive.
Apparently this is a design flaw I've had mine for about six months and the sensor is out. To pay that much for an item and have it last only six months is disappointing. Disconnecting the sensor may be dangerous or it may not, I'm not going to gamble on a fire or explosion. I guess I'll use it for a dog bowl.
