By unique killing animations, I am referring to any animation that plays when the unit finishes off an opponent, without triggering a Special, that is purposefully flashy and more detailed than a regular animation. This video is up to date as of Mythic Fomortiis and Gotoh. Enjoy!

Love how you went out of your way to make sure Edelgard and Dimitri killed eachother and Claude only got Kris.
I really wanted to get Claude to kill Nemesis 🥺 but I wasn’t able to because I don’t have a L!Claude so I had to get it done through Rival Domains unfortunately
I love how Ashera's one takes us outside the map
Ashera has the best weapon animation, no one can change my mind
Legendary Veronica animation remain one of the sickest tome animation we got! :)

Surtr, Nifl, Muspell, Letizia and Ymir are the only non-legendary/mythic units with unique finishing animations
Fafnir, Elm and Gullveig aren't obtainable but they also count for now
Hilairously, with dragon Fafnir, we have every colour of dragon fitting this category
Now if only Fafnir and Elm could actually be released
Base Veronica, Base Bruno and Freyr too, whilst we're there

Ascended Mareeta, plus every other Ascended hero and a couple regular ones, only has unique *Special trigger* animations, which isn’t what this video is about.

Have you considered making an "All Unique Idle Start Animations"? The ones you can view independently using the "Assign Accessories" menu.

I have considered doing that video MANY times, actually. What’s stopped me from actually making it is that i don’t think there’s a resource out there that lists all of the idle animations so I’d have to find them myself. As much as I’d like to do that, I can’t afford to watch 900+ units (a good chunk of which I don’t own myself) and see if they have an idle animation.
If you or anyone else knows of a trustworthy source that has all of them written down for certain, I would definitely be open to the idea though.
@@OmegaYato I feel like the majority of units released after Book II have some form of unique animation in that regard.
I would be willing to go through the 700~ish units I have and see if I can make some sort of list on a GameFAQ or else, but I would need some sort of ruleset.
For instance (if you have them) do you consider Yen'Fay and Nemesis' animations to be different? The sword motion is identical, but the former clutches his sheath with his other hand while the latter lets his hand idle. It's really a detail, but do details matter?
Of course I could make it into a three categories list with 1/Standard animations 2/Shared animations with slight changes 3/Totally unique animations, but do you need it that way or do you just want to focus only on the totally unique?
@@firengel2807 Honestly, I wouldn’t consider that either of those have unique idle animations at all. When I think of an idle animation I think of Yarne stretching, Winter Annette singing, or Python scratching his head. Stuff that deviates from the unit’s normal “ready to attack” animation, if that makes any sense.

I might be mistaken but doesn't Legendary Female Byleth have a different unique animation for each weapon type in 3 houses?
She does have a unique attacking animation for each weapon type but the finishing animation is always the one that’s in this video.
I have a video compiling all tome animations on my channel and you can see all of F!Byleth’s animations there if you want, though that video is quite outdated by now.

As for which Brave hero I’ll summon for, I’m not sure yet. I’ll wait and see what their skills are before I commit to one of them!

You should have included the Ascended units, who all have a unique animation when doing their special.
In the description I stated that these animations are all for units who have unique finishing animations when they aren’t activating a special. If I had to include special special animations, this video would be about 4x longer since a ton of new units have those.

She does! But I chose to not include follow-up attacks in this video because there are quite a few unique ones. Plus, none of them have the dramatic legendary/mythic “after-effect” when they’re used.

I've been away from Fe:H for awhile: does Fafnir still not have a playable unit?
He does! Fáfnir has a playable New Year alt that’s over a year old now. His base and dragon versions still aren’t playable though.
For some reason they gave him a new years alt instead of just releasing base Angsty boi or Angsty Dragon boi. Idk why.
Fomortiis using Demon Light and Ashera taking the POV away from the fight are the best ones.

I am surprised that Legendary Claude is not Upside or facing down like the Three Houses Switch cover.
So they really gave any stand-alone character an unique finishing animation if they are legendary, mythic or Heroes OC with exception of Ylgr, the Múspell Generals and Ganglöt? That is a little bit sad ngl.
But I guess for the former ones they are just to old, nowadays they probably would have got one and for Ganglöt…RIP for wielding a Arcane weapon I assume haha.
