My
This walk through was amazing i get my radiator out super eazy thanks
The radiator can absolutely be separated from the condenser coil inside the vehicle. support the condenser, i used zip ties. Remove passenger side headlight, and you can access the clip on top. the new radiator has the clip so you can pry the old clip off without worrying about breaking it, then it is just wiggling it out.
Yup! Just finished one up right now, thank god I saw this comment!
Oh man, thank you! My rad just blew, and i have a new one on order. I cant afford a shop to do it. Looking for as much infor and tricks, as i can get.
You have been such a blessing to me. It does not matter which car I am working on, there's a video for everything.
Great video. Saved us a lot of time replacing the radiator on my 2012 SE
Great video. When refitting use cable ties to hold up radiator and intercooler ( on tdci’s), put bottom rubber mounts into bottom radiator support first then bolt it up then cut cable ties.
Saves a lot of wiggling .
You've got the voice of a rally copilot exchanging with the pilot. Vibrations
Separating radiator from condenser while still in position in the car to avoid having to purge and refill A/C was easy, and had more problems changing the thermostat. The re-assembly was a breeze as well. Before you re-install the small pick up tube, ensure the O-Ring is still is position, as mine went missing. a final note, I just realised that it is easier to remove the entire air filter box to change air filter than fighting with the cover while in position.
Is it possible to remove the radiator with out removing the AC condenser
thankyou so much very detailed video new sub
21:47 I did that part without draining the system. It was loads of fun.
I did the same haha. Is there still Freon in the system though?
@@angus4830 a bit of it! Definitely needed a recharge haha
Were you able to just remove it slowly ?
is it possible to remove only the radiator? Or the with the condenser attach?
Yes, and very easily
I just had to replace my fan on 2015 Focus ST and it was very difficult. No room to pull the upper tabs off the clips and no room to pull it out from bottom or top.
Good job 👏 👍
That 'R' make my brain vibrating lots....
Nice video
No you don’t have to drain the A/c you can separate it in car I did it.. but most likely not the radiator check the connection top drivers side of radiator that hose is bad to leak not radiator
I see that you have a link for a list of tools that you recommend but what tools do I need exactly for this job? I have a bunch of tools
What about removing the top of the radiator support would that be easier then going thru bottom?
I would definitely not be easier, as not purging AC and bottom removal/re-installation took less than 2 hours, while doing it from the top involves removing headlights and entire front bumper, which only means body panel re-alignment to rematch fenders/bumper
How do you replace the radiator hoses...by getting down here?
man i bought this car used and there is no gas in the AC system already. Someone had even taken off the AC belt so i dont need to worry about the AC system.
My rad works good right now just watching incase i hav to do this in future
How do I remove the AC refrigerant
Is this the same for diesel rad change?
The hoses are superglued on I think
I've never seen mechanic's wearing so much jewelry...
Der Bauer of cars
Where is the transmission coolant lines?
How much should I pay for labor ?
Good video but this fan removal does not work on 2012 to 2018 focus ST. Have to remove the entire bumper and everything behind it then pull intercoolers, then radiator, condenser and fan all as one. Takes over 3 hours with skills. Need a lift too.
I have the 2012 se hatchback, is it the same? I only have a ramp lift.
@@Christopheofficial1854i think this video is on base model /se
Hi, my radiator is clogged from the bottom. I couldnt drain it from its drain valve, is there any other way to drain it?
Pull a radiator hose
What tools do I need for this?
Hammer a big one

where did you learn mechanics? you don't have to evacuate the system. if you need help just say that
You did not vacuum shit they put all the refrigerant in the air
