I would have lost my shit seeing these 2 together. They were on a Brit singing show together the past few years and are great pals- Go down the Adam rabbit hole, there is so much amazing stuff he has out - so dynamic.
This video was so much fun to watch and the man filming it was as ecstatic! 😂. Beverley Knight is a British artist who not only sings but performs in the theatre as well. Adam has made friends with Beverley during a stint as a judge along with her on a UK musical competition! Being from the UK explains why you’re not familiar with Beverley but now you know! 😊. I Can’t Stand The Rain was originally from a UK band, from the 1970’s but can’t remember the name, then recorded by Tina Turner and later Missy Elliot. Now Adam ALSO recorded “I Can’t Stand The Rain” on his latest “High Drama” ( a collection of some of his favorite songs, old and recent ones) album/CD. You should check out “High Drama”, so good. So this performance of Adam and Beverley happened in London during “Pride Month”. Adam also performed at the same event singing several of his own music and remember from the 1970’s the artist “SYLVESTER”? Adam recorded “You Make Me Feel Mighty Real” and this song was the theme of this years UK Pride Month and on Adam’s latest album High Drama. Thanks Roskoe for checking out another Adam related video. 👍
It pleases me to no end that I may have been the one who introduced you to Adam for the first time a couple of weeks ago when you reacted to his cover of Cher's "Believe". This kid is the real deal whether he's performing with Queen or as a solo artist. I never heard of Beverly before either, but she's fantastic. "I Can't Stand The Rain" was originally recorded by Anne Peebles in 1973...I don't recall ever hearing her version, but the one that stands out the most to me, and the one I believe that this version by Adam and Beverly closely resembles is Tina Turner's, which you reacted to about 5 months ago. I wasn't 100% sure, but I went through your very long and impressive Playlists (and that took a minute), and you had; in fact, it's the only Tina song you reacted to...hmm, I'll have to change that down the road. Anyway, great reaction and so glad you're enjoying Adam.🤗
I enjoyed discovering your channel. I haven’t seen many people do reactions to Adam Lambert singing “On the Moon”. This song and the next that I will mention are from his album, Velvet, a terrific album which whose release sadly coincided with the start of the pandemic. Adam has mentioned how hard this was for him to not get to tour with this album, which he poured his heart and soul into, but which just didn’t stand as much of a chance of recognition like it would have otherwise. So this version of “On the Moon” was performed in a set up in his garage. You’ll see a lot of greenery around and some other decorative items. Just from briefly watching you, I think you’ll really appreciate this song and performance. Another terrific song is his live session or his James Corden performance of “Closer to You”. Wow. And if you want to check out Adam’s different take on “I Can’t Stand the Rain”, you should check that out just for yourself since you just did this reaction. That version is his performance on American Idol” this past year when he came back as a mentor. Thanks for what you do!
Dearest Roskoe, So glad that you are on board the Adam-Lambert train. In case you didn't know, the UK adores Adam. He can do no wrong in that part of the world. Yes, the bloke who recorded this live performance was super excited to sit up front and experience these two artists. By the way, there is a better version of this performance on YT. I'm familiar with Miss Knight, as she and Adam performed a duet on the British show called Starstruck. I love your use of the word funk in their singing style. I hope that one of these days Adam will sing Proud Mary by Tina Turner and anything by Stevie Wonder. Won't that be epic for you to post on your channel. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Roskoe! ❤❤❤🇺🇸🇬🇧🇮🇱
Adam and Beverly are good friends and together they are magical, so glad someone captured this . Thank you for your reaction.

Ann Peebles was the original singer. And this was even better for Adam because it was at an event he wasn’t at
@@jukip1485 Thank you for the name 🙂
Adam Lambert is the best vocalist in the world
Oh yeah! ❤ I totally agree.
They also did a duet of Falling, a Harry Styles song, that was phenomenal.
I feel like throwin' my shoe at the screen! (that's a good thing 😄)

You're totally the one who introduced me to Adam! Although I had heard the name, I never checked him out, until a few weeks ago.
