When you're done gluing here's a little trick I do tap your bottle on the table a couple times then when done squeeze the bottle once or twice in the upright position to clear your tip and then reapply the cap good video Brian Megan.🤠👍
Awesome video and funny at times. Love the comedy and the lovely setup tips. I’ve been flying for 20 years but I’m always learning. Thanks for showing us your tips !
Another great vid. Followed your setup for the original E300. One thing I noticed was that I do set the throttle cut switch the other way - off is up, since I grabbed the Tx once to pick it up and caught the switch with my index finger. Did that just the once...
I updated my receiver to AS3X+ and set everything up accordingly with both the flight modes on the G switch and my rates are on that switch as well. The problem is that when I flew the model, the gains were too high and I had to shut the gyro off. I reduced the gains, but I don't know what the best gain settings are for maximum throws (highest rates). I haven't flown since seeing the high gain oscillation settings. I could just keep reducing it, but was wondering what others are getting for their gain settings for all three axis when the the throws are maximized. And just a note, I didn't have to go into the Avian Prog menu within 30 seconds like we did in the past. It seems like you can go into that menu whenever you want as long as you follow the directions on the menu for entering the ESC menu. I hope Horizon brings back the AT-6 Texan again, I miss that plane.
We have this on our "supplies" at BrianPhillipsRC - www.brianphillipsrc.com/supplies - from there, you'll see the two sets we use routinely. Hope this helps ;)
Would downloading and using this plane's profile from Spektrum help to set up this plane and avoid many of the steps you had to take? Just curious. Very good "build" and setup video.
That's for programming the Avian ESC. When and if you use the programmer, you plug that AND the regular cable into the device...we did it on the plane coming out Thursday of this week, if you want to see us do it.
We said it wasn't a 3D plane? That's exactly what it is. Just because of it's size and speed, maybe not your very first 3D plane, but it's a great option. If you're looking for a first 3D plane, check out the new Sportix that just released. bprc.me/Sportix
Is the servo moving? IF not, you need to find out why. D/C it and plug in ANY OTHER servo (like the rudder, for example) - Does it move? If NOT, then you're dealing with a Rx issue, if the RUDDER moves when you call out elevator, then you need to check and RECHECK your actual elevator servo... BAD WIRE? BAD MOTOR? BAD CONNECTION TO EXTENSION CORD? BAD SERVO CONNECTOR AT RX? Gotta start splitting the system until you end up with what exactly is wrong...THEN you can fix it with little to no trouble. If it's BRAND new, make sure you hit up HH to get it made right. They will stand behind their product if it's new(ish).
Sure, will call HH now. Well, the AS3X receiver responds correctly with other planes so I know it’s not the receiver. Tried connecting my other transmitters to it and through trial and error, I found out it’s a servo issue
@ Hi Brian! I was able to find it when I reset my controller. However, the tiny little wire, does that go to channel 5 or 6 on the receiver because it’s not catching on? Is this also safe for the motor?
how many half turns you do on the eleavator 4? eflite did a great job on the paint scheme on this! so glad i waited for the new one!! Happy Flying! Grant
Nope! You can find the maidens right here... ruclips.net/video/WW_90_dpjx4/видео.html We did a Members Only Sneak Peak of Andrew flying too. That might be what you're seeing as Members Only. Sorry for the confusion!
Not sure what you mean by "All" - There's a lot of NON-Sexual Innuendos too...like HOURS of everything else. If these innuendos comprise 1/100% of the video, I would be very surprised. Is this an issue for you? We aren't marketing to children, but rather to grown men (and women...but to be honest, it's mostly men) - Not sure what to tell you.

The best you tube channel. Thanks to you both for your hard work
Two brothers RC gave Brian Phillips a big shout out on unboxed Building videos and how good you are at it on his video on this plane ❤
Awesome! Thanks Jon ;)

Thanks, and absolutely - learn something new every day!
Beautiful plane, it really pops.
Thanks!
Thanks so much! We really appreciate your support!!!

Glad you caught it quick!
use a dab of vaseline on the hinge before gluing. No more contaminated hinges
sure can!

Hey guys, love the channel! I was wondering what screwdriver set that is that Brian uses?
Thanks!

@@BrianPhillipsRC It helps a lot! Thank you
Question, can i use foam to foam instead of medium ca?
Most of the time you can, but it'll setup a lot slower. Kinda depends on the plane.
Would downloading and using this plane's profile from Spektrum help to set up this plane and avoid many of the steps you had to take? Just curious. Very good "build" and setup video.
What is the yellow wire plug coming off the throttle plug? I can’t seem to find it in the manual!
That's for programming the Avian ESC. When and if you use the programmer, you plug that AND the regular cable into the device...we did it on the plane coming out Thursday of this week, if you want to see us do it.
@@BrianPhillipsRC ahhh makes sense, I knew there was a reason I liked your channel! 🤣
I'm so curious if the landing gear will fit on the extra 300
Ouch!!! Careful with your transmitter bro! 1:08:25.
yeah, did I catch the edge on the counter??!?!?! EWWWWWWWW - Didn't even notice in real time
Little bit of Vaseline on the hinge
yeah, I was thinking of white lithium grease, but that's also excellent.
Early gang 💪🏽💪🏽
1:02:30 Is that a reference to an inversion table commercial?
When he said it wasn’t a 3d plane I decided nm. This seems like a first or beginner 3d plane.

My elevators aren’t moving up or down after the setup and the little stick is placed in and connected to the servo

Well it looks like I’ll have to call tomorrow due to outside hours. It didn’t let me leave a message.
Okay, so now how did you get thrust reverse because when I scroll I see Gyro
We show how we did it, if we did it. Did we use the Programming Tool on this one?
@ Hi Brian! I was able to find it when I reset my controller. However, the tiny little wire, does that go to channel 5 or 6 on the receiver because it’s not catching on? Is this also safe for the motor?

Are the 3 hinge slots precut on the fuselage ???
I can't recall, did you watch the video? We do the whole assembly, in this video.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I did , but it’s hard to tell on the part of the fuselage if those hinge slots were pre-cut. thanks for the reply👍
Where is the maiden at? I have to be a member to see it?

The crew is it metric or imperial?
So its the extra 300 with a different paint job didn't even fix the terrible batter bay
I understand the batter hatch is slightly bigger.
Yes I hate remoteID and I will not abide by the rules.
I don't blame you. RID is such a joke, and FRIA's are just another unconstitutional action by unelected bureaucrats. Disgusting.
@@BrianPhillipsRC yeah I agree. We’ve got a huge field behind my house. 100 yards x 1000 yards. Works for me.
