Its a dangerous set!!! 4 months ago i found this exact set at Hobby Lobby by accident for $48 in the clearance bin. Today I have a 5’ by 3’ N Scale layout under construction in my basement. I also acquired about 6 more N locos and about 40 pieces of rolling stock! BEWARE!!!
On a serious note…
I, too, was impressed on how smooth the loco runs.
It's your fault I got this set and a whole bunch of other N scale stuff. You just had to text me a pic of you Stallion set. 😂 Once we get past the holidays I will stop buy and check out you layouts.
I am so glad I found your video. I just bought this for my 8 year old grandson. He hasnt opened it yet, but i know he will want more track and buildings and tunnels. I believe i bought the perfect set. I just wish our CND prices were closer to your US prices lol
It's a very nice starter set. He will have a blast! Thanks for watching. 🙂
As someone who wants to start a model railroad, I have been looking for advice about which train to get and the best prices. I hadn’t found anything until I saw this video! So helpful!
Awesome! I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching. 🙂
My first RECENT train set is the Bachmann HO scale “Thoroughbred”, otherwise very similar to this. A good value on Amazon for $130.
I have the HO Thoroughbred set also. Runs great. My only complaint is still using plastic wheels and that old steel track.
Nice video, Stan! Awesome train set!
Thanks. 🙂
@@VintageRoadRail BTW, you should use this intro with all your videos.
Bachmans's train set N scale locomotives have improved a lot it appears. Body mounted couplers too..I wonder how difficult it would be to upgrade them to Micro-Trains or Accumates?
At least it won't look any more silly than this. LOL.
I bought one of those sets i will say they do run pretty well smooth n quite
oh my, the opening song
Do you know where I got that music from?
@@VintageRoadRail HBO back in the old days, the now playing ad
@@billfusionenterprise That's it. My daughter mad the intro.
HBO wants their intro music back!
I had the HO version.
i want to cry ! 🥺
The problem with most Bachmann sets in the last 10 years is that they've become generic and what set companies like life like and Model Power before they went out of business apart was while there sets were generic they weren't generic if that makes any sense unlike Bachmann has gotten with their sets in the last 10 years and I will say that there are some sets that Bachmann has produced in the last 10 years that they shouldn't have went out of production that they should have kept them in production because you can no longer find them anywhere not even eBay or any other reselling website for that matter
you aware of the varitions being sold on hartfiord exchange?
@@billfusionenterprise Yes I am and for your information it's Bradford Exchange and I think Bachmann severed ties with Bradford Exchange and why I say that is because the things that I have seen coming out from Bradford Exchange is not made by Bachmann if anyone truly knows what their looking at
@@jodysmith8048 they sure look like bachmann
Keren
I would pay $350.00 for this.
Please ditch the overly dramatic and time wasting intro.
it's a reference to the old hbo intro from a while back, i guess only certain audiences would know
