with two pistons the risk is one side of the blade to go lower than the other side, resulting in a bend "more open" on the high side. Large presses use a torsion arm and links to the blade to ensure the descend is the same at both sides. You could add hard stops on both sides to serve as a travel limit and ensure symmetry.
@@markmark5269 That what @ingDemurtas wrote could not be shimmed away. The worst case is, when you bent only directly under one piston. Then the other piston has no force against it but the same pressure in the piston. So it will bent the hole press at it's weakest point.
Nice work. I have two other things to say. At 12 tons where have you maxed out on thickness of steel? Also, when I was younger I also use to tack without eye protection. It catches up to you man, your going to have vission trouble if you keep that up.
Maximum thickness capability of the brake depends on the width of the part being formed, the width of the brake die and how tight you want the bend to be.
Nice! I'm missing an important thing, and that is personal protection. Maybe you don't need it (?), but you're giving a bad example to youngsters and beginning hobbyists who are watching your great channel. Tackwelding or plasma cutting without for example safety glasses is quite hazardous. Keep it safe.

This is awesome - do you have any problems with one cylinder extending more than the other and causing differential pressure along the length? It's tied to the same pressure so I guess it should be negligible?
Should have welded 1/2” or 12mm plate around those cylinders and through bolted them to the top beam …. Now if those cylinders fail your whole set up is no good

Too much time spent watching you weld without showing WHAT you are welding. For instance the bottom V block. One quick glimpse to guess how it was made.
I just started looking into building a press brake and came across this video. I’m at work and haven’t watched the whole video, but as a person who’s been welding for the last 25 years I’ve got to say. WEAR YOUR SAFETY GLASSES! I winced every time you grabbed your plasma cutter, you don’t want hot metal in your eye. Trust me.
Finally someone with common tools who doesn’t use a $20k lathe and a $10k equipment none of us have to save $100 making a $800 tool.
To be honest there is plenty of $k in that shop :P

Some large presses do. I have a 4m press and it uses valves to equalise pressure.
Shops constantly adjust their presses to get even folds. Shimming under the V block is the most common method.

Thanks Albert!
good work but please put on some safety glasses
I appreciate the build.

nice job!!! im surprised that one col doesnt try harder than the other sometimes

Hola, he visto este vídeo, me gustaría saber las dimensiones de los cilindros hidráulicos y de la bomba hidráulica. Gracias eres un chak.😊
I like it, excellent idea, doesn't tie up your press.

You need to put the plate exactly in the middle of the machine and than it’s work fine

Tell me how to synchronize d both jack?
Dónde puedo comprarla, me intereza y cuál es el precio
Hola, tendrías los planos y lista de materiales específicos que usaste? Te lo agradecería muchísimo!!
Beautifull! What is the flow rate of the pump? How much is the piston bore?
I have a question how do you control de bender angle? O I mean 30, 45, 60 degrees

Nice but the receiving V Block is critical, and your's is way too large, hence an unacceptable large radius.
I’ve already replaced the V block, but for an diy project it wasn’t too bad
