HACIENDA VISTA HERMOSA Y EL LAGO TEQUESQUITENGO: "OASIS DE
HISTORIA, ELEGANCIA Y TRADICIÓN".
Ubicada en el bello estado de Morelos, se encuentra la Hacienda San José Vista Hermosa, sin duda uno de los lugares más históricos de México, la cual fue fundada por Hernán Cortés en 1529, fue una recompensa por sus conquistas, por el entonces rey de España y Emperador de Alemania, Carlos V, quien le otorgó el título de Marques del Valle de Oaxaca, concediéndole señorío y derechos sobre 23,000 vasallos, pueblos y una gran extensión de tierras.
La Hacienda de San José de Vista Hermosa fue construida de piedra en su totalidad, tanto el área residencial como las caballerizas y establos, ya que se carecía en ese entonces de hierro o madera, dándole gran vida a toda la comarca, rodeada de grandes muros como una fortaleza, sus paredes tienen 6 pies de espesor, pero sin dejar de conservar un estilo clásico virreinal. El Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa cuenta con restaurante, lago artificial, amplios jardines, piscinas al aire libre, canchas de tenis y una plaza de toros, además de una capilla original la cual se conecta al edificio principal por un túnel.
Actualmente el Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa cuenta con habitaciones decoradas elegantemente para que tu estancia sea totalmente placentera.
El lugar está plagado de rincones por los cuales se siente la historia, desde los magníficos carruajes y esculturas que son exhibidas en grandes salones, hasta la enorme rueda de molino que se ubica a la entrada del restaurante. Sus imponentes muros y bellos jardines hacen del Hotel Hacienda Vista Hermosa un lugar de visita obligada.
Y por si fuera poco, en las catacumbas se encuentra el set donde se filmó la película "Santo vs. Dr. Cerebro" en 1976, el cual permanece intacto desde ese año. La Hacienda Vista Hermosa también fue escenario de otras películas, como "Canasta de cuentos mexicanos" (1955), con María Félix y Pedro Armendáriz, y la telenovela "La Mujer de Judas" (2012, Tv Azteca). Grandes personalidades se han alojado en este lugar, quizá la más glamurosa fue Marilyn Monroe, que en los años cincuenta pasó una temporada en la hacienda, alejada del bullicio de Hollywood.

THE HISTORY OF TEQUESQUITENGO. Between the municipalities of Jojutla and Puente de Ixtla, in 1650, a small town was established on the banks of an oxbow lake, where its inhabitants were dedicated to agriculture, cultivating tequesquite (material used for soap making), as well as corn and sesame. It is said that in the XIX century the owners of the Hacienda Vista Hermosa converted the available lands of the town into sugar cane plantations, remember that this economic activity was one of the main ones in Morelos; thus, by diverting the irrigation water to the valley for the crops, the water level increased and formed what today is the Lake of Tequesquitengo, which is 14 km in diameter and 45 meters deep.
