What Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 is one of the most important yet misunderstood Scriptures in the new Testament. Paul said in 2 Corinthians 3:17,"Now the Lord IS THAT SPIRIT, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." So Romans, an epistle written to a church, is telling already born again believers how to be saved? How about reading the Bible in context. That scripture even says shall be or will be saved. That means you still have more to do. In James 2:19 it states even the demons believe. So if belief is the end of salvation, then every demon in hell is saved. 2 Thessalonians 1:8 states we must obey the gospel.
