Thank you!! I was kind of intimidated to try making a cup turner at home, but you explained it so well I’m headed to Lowe’s this morning to buy all the parts. My husband doesn’t know there’s going to be a project waiting when he wakes up today! ☺️ I’m going to have him watch the tutorial too!
I'm sending this to my husband you husband is un intimidating. My honey is not a builder but he is a math guy and number guy so your guy is easy to follow. THANK YOU.
My lovely husband found the videos in your Chanel, He supports me 100%. Saw me struggling with the turners from hobby lobby and went to HD and got all the parts and pieces! Came home with a big smile and many bags and told me he will be building me the turners for my birthday!!! Thank you Jeff and Sandy for the tutorials!!!
Oh my goodness..I have been researching where to buy a good turner and stumbled across your channel. Your husband has explained how to make the wands and turners so well that I will save a lot of money by just doing a DIY!! Thanks!!
It is so nice of you to do these videos for us! So generous to show us your talent and share with us all of the homework you’ve done! What a generous, generous gift. You guys are the best. ❤️
I watched this video and the previous video ages ago, but it seemed so intimidating. I’m back to the idea that I’d like to make a turner, and this time the info sunk in perfectly. Cant wait to attempt this soon. Thanks for sharing
Thank you for being so precise when giving directions on how to build this. SOME of us arent carpenters. lol. you are the GREATEST. You are handier than a pocket on a shirt. lol.
I love this Sandy. It’s very sweet that your Husband know’s what it is you do and the different terms. A Husband who is interested and listens! Imagine that :D lol Nice tutorial I very much appreciate that.
This was amazing! Very thorough and LIVE that you all put the items in the bottom to make these! I’ll be making them! Keep up the great work! God bless you all!!
I am so excited about this video and the other one. I’ve watched so many tutorials some people don’t give measurements others don’t say what material they use. I am so happy there is you and Mr. Jeff. People who don’t mind at all sharing information. Thanks for helping me make this a game changer for my new small business. So much love and gratitude.
Thank you for the great video. I have watched tons of videos of how to make this machine. My mother asked me to make one for here and I couldn't really find any good information on how to secure the motor to the pvc. I greatly appreciate your comprehensive video!
I know it’s been a long time since you posted this video, but I love the very detailed step-by-step instructions. I don’t make tumblers, but I do paint vases and will need to modify things slightly to accommodate their sizes.
Happy New Year Sandy and Family. My name is Waunda, and I am about to start my own business. I first saw your video, when you did the wine tumblers and bottle set, and that truly fascinated me. Your work is awesome, so I decided to follow and subscribe to your channel. I will be contacting you for tips. I do a variety of different types of crafts. But now I want to get into epoxying. You are an amazing woman, and please keep the videos coming. To you husband, thank you for the tutorial on how to make a tumbler turner, I was trying to figure it out, thanks a bunch.
Your video was a big help. You make it seem extremely easy to make. Thanks for you help and informative video. I like how you talked just in the right town and speed for me to follow. It was boring and it wasn't to fast to where I would have had to keep rewinding the video. Bravo!!
Me and my husband built this based on your video. You should have seen us in Lowe’s looking back and forth at this video in the store for 40 minutes 🤣🤷🏾♀️🤣 thank you a
Thank you for your response.. and that’s what I said lol but he refuses to leave them exposed.. I’m not worried about it!! However my husband said it was a great tutorial and your husband did a GREAT JOB.. 😀😀
Thank you so much, I made a six cup turner myself not the greatest but now that you have shared this I feel confident I can redo mine into a much simpler design
Great tutorials! I'm about to build my second turner (the first I sketched out and kinda winged it!), and I think I'm going to build it this way, with some modifications to suit my style! Thank you for taking the time to make these tutorials! :)
jeff i would just like to suggest that when you attach your boards on the lines and the shelf in addition to thr nails i would also use wood glue along the bottom of each piece before you set it on the line it will increase the strength of your joint and the nails won’t be thr only thing securing it let it set over night and you would be hard pressed to get it apart
Jeff suggested that. But I didn’t want it to be glued incase we needed to pull it apart for repairs. And it’s just sitting here so I didn’t really think it needed it. 🤗
How long have you been using those certain type of motors and what brought you to decide on those? Thank you again so much for your tutorials! I have my wands built, now working on getting the supplies for the turners!!!! SO EXCITED!
That was awesome. Very thorough is what I loved the best...You don't see much of that on videos. Tip: maybe lower the music a bit. But other then that it was great! Only thing I don't know if I can do all that. I mean i just would like all of that but not the motor parts. Is there a similar way to create that w/out adding the motors? Thanks !!
I was anxious to see the final result. Omg they are so well done, they look very professional. Don't you sell them? You sure are a talented couple! 🙆🏻♀️👏👏
Hi Jeff, Excellent tutorial first and foremost! I will be using your version for a quad turner and I have some questions that I hope you can answer. 1) What would be the recommended markings for my boards on the base if I’m doing a Quad turner? 2) Not sure I caught where the lamp cable was used in the video? 3) Can all 4 turners be connected to the same switch?
1) I like to have 6” on each side of each turner, so figure a foot of board length for each motor. The first one will be 6” from the edge. For a 4-turner you’ll want to use a 4’ board. The holes should be at 6”, 18”, 30”, and 42”. If you’re limited on space, you could probably put them closer together, but we liked having 6” one each side. 2) The lamp cable is what feeds power to the switch. 3) All 4 turners could be on the same switch, but then you won’t be able to control them individually. It will be all on or all off at the same time. -Jeff
I make mine the exact same way but I also add a 3/4 quick release hose adapter and screw to the end of the wand and the other side to the turner where wand connects. Hope this helps. Its a total game changer
Hi. Great video. Best one so far. I am curious what the total was for everything. The price of lumber and everything else has gone up. I am wondering if its worth making my own to save money??
Omg!! I love this video, you’re very detailed. I have confidence I can make one for my daughter now. Have you tried making one with a cover I seen one where they cover it with plexy glass.
First, thank you for making this video. You’re both just amazing people. I have a problem with it rotating a couple times and then it stops and goes the other way. It just keeps going back and forth. I thought maybe I had the wrong switch for it, so I wired the cord right to one of the motors and it still does it. I’ve had a couple different people look at it that have worked with different types of motors and they said I wired it correctly and didn’t understand why it was doing that. Have you ever had that happen before?
The motors will stop and reverse direction if there’s any type of resistance. I’ve had this happen because the nail I used to attach the PVC to the motor shaft was too long or came loose. I would start by seeing if the motor does this while not installed on the turner. If it does, there’s a problem with the motor. If not, reinstall the motor and see what is making it stop and reverse direction. -Jeff
Soo when you are drilling the holes through the 1x6x12 boards (there is 3) MAKE SURE YOUR HOLES ARE STRAIGHT. I had to completely rebuild the wooden frames. This was due to using the caps instead of the plugs, so 1 hole had to be bigger than the others. Switched to the plugs and rebuilding the frame so all holes are same size. Other than that. This is an excellent guide.
Ohh and the pins. Make sure your pins that connect pvc to motor dont stick out to much. They catch and flip the motor. I also had a few break with brad nails. Was probably do to my incorrectly drilled holes.
Thank you so much for your video. It was very helpful as I'm looking to build one that is reliable - but could you help me with measurements for a 3 or 4 cup turner? Do I just add 6 inches to each long board and the additional motors and switches?
Thank you again to my special guest, Jeff! 🤗
For sure he is a keeper! Thanks Jeff!
Merci à Jeff pour ces explications 🙏 Je n ai plus qu.a convertir les pouces en centimètres 🤣 Merci beaucoup Sandy et Jeff 🙏😘
You are so welcome.

You are awesome Jeff
would it be possible to show in a little more detail how you wired the switch and the motors to the plug
Jeff you are the bomb. Tfs Sandy

Thank you 🥰 we hardly have enough time for what we do now 🤣 so we aren’t looking to sell turners.

Thank you so much for the info! I missed the part with the lamp cord and wiring into power plug.
What size hole saw bit do i need? Thank you so much for this video you're the best!
Thank you so much Jeff. Excellent job.

Oops, I got distracted by the buzz LightYear outfit from the wee one, lol! thanks for sharing tho!
What size hole saw did you use?
Thanks for making the two videos, but all in all, how much did you save by making these?
