Thank you for making this video. I was out riding this morning and it was getting harder and harder to shift and that's when I noticed all the play in the clutch cable. I limped home in 2nd hear with little to no clutch. There was so much slack the clutch lever could have come off completely. I learned a very valuable lesson....ALWAYS perform a pre-ride inspection. I followed the instructions in your video and I'm back in business.......super easy. Thanks gain!!!!
I just installed a new extended clutch cable and the clutch wouldn’t disengage because I wasn’t sure how to adjust it. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!
I did my own service and if anything I did a better job. My license plate almost fell off because my dealer forgot to tighten the plastic bots. three came off on one of my trips. Easy fix but still. It's always good to check all the nuts from time to time.
Just hit 200 mi on my 2018 Scout and had to adjust mine as well. Sloppy. But it also did some stretching so.... now it is tight again. Thank you for the easy video. Much appreciated.
Damn, my scout had a huge gap on the clutch lever and I rode around like that for a while. What kind of damage can that cause, Thanks for the vid I fixed my cable gap.

took it to two shops and they couldn't get it right. Took me 5 minutes and its perfect now. Thank you!

if the cable is out of adjustment it may cause the clutch to wear a little faster. I'm glad you found this helpful.

Any suggestions on if you did this, ran out of adjustment and the clutch is super loose? Is the whole cable stretched? Clutch isnt slippling
You may wish to inspect both cable ends, in the lever and the mounting boss near the clutch itself. I wish you the best on finding out the issue..
The jam nut on mines doesn’t kept it in place
