Thank you for bringing up the crossover in between the sizes! I have the exact same head circumference as you at around 22.5in so I had the same dilemma, whether I should go for the medium or large. I'm going to take your experience with the large headgear and purchase that size for myself.
I currently have winning which I love how light it is and makes me feel like I am not even wearing anything. Although I am into d3o Rival, but I know Rival is twice heavier but you think is it worth to put winning aside and put Rival for the d3o? Can d3o be safer than winning ?
Any plans for a review of Pound 4 Pound cheek protector head guard ?? Really curious about it ... nose bars are great at low price and just wondering is it the same with cheek protectors
@fit2box have you tried and reviewed the fortress boxing head gaurd? Seems to be the only headgaurd getting seeming close to this for very good money. Cheers love your reviews 👍
winning is the best in the world.i have fg2900 in leather cost me like$ 320 i have a set headgear gloves 18oz and cup they are amazing .cotto mayweather danny garcia david tua evander holyfild all use the winning set with the fg 2900.
Hi, What would you recommends after this model (cheekgard) ? I value my head protection but I'm not sure I'm training hard enough to justify that price. I live close to a Rival store, does their version offer a similar level of nose protection ? My defense isn't good enough and I would appreciate a better nose protection to speed up the recovery. (I don't want a bar so I'm hopping this type of headgear would be a good compromise) Thank you!
Try Sabas or ultimatum as they do cheek headguards with the winning fg2900 bars at the front and are cheaper than the winning fg2900 I would say these offer more nose protection than rivals cheek protector👊🏼👍🏼
Since you mentioned high quality synthetic leathers, maybe you should try a pair of Hayabusa's T3 model. A lot of people swear by them and I'd like to see your opinion as well.
I have a 23.5 inch head circumference should I go for medium or large? My current velcro adidas speed head guard is a large and is pretty poor vision wise and gets knocked out of place if I get hit with a big shot. Any help would be good cheers 👍
I have an fg-500 in medium, but could probably get away with a large, as the back and laces are stretched quite a bit. I'm going to be getting an fg-2900 soon, but I'm wondering if the the protrusions on the cheek section would protect the nose better with a large, rather than medium.
Hi, I know these headgears are made to protect the nose, but does the cheek protectors offer any protection for the mouth/teeth area? I have some dental problems and the cheek protectors look like it would stop a glove making contact with say your front teeth. Is that the case?
