The attention part reminded me of Poland 😂😂😂 I was brave enough to walk in a neighborhood and I felt like an alien who just landed on earth 😂, it was so weird because when I'm stared at while walking I lose my step. On the hair part I let them touch it cause they said they'd never seen a black person before and yea I touched theirs too 💀
lol i tend to lose my footing too when that happens, though that's also because of my imbalance symptoms. If a stranger gets an okay to touch the hair, it's all good 😬

It sounds like your boss was just being ridiculous. It is a common Danish joke structure to be silly and pretend not to realise something obvious. The joke structure is supposed to be cute and self-deprecating in nature, making you laugh at his pretended ignorance/lack of intelligence. It has nothing to do with race normally, and he would've felt embarrassed when he realised you had understood it with greater gravity than he had meant it. He might make the same joke with a naturally curly haired white Dane, or with you but about something that wasn't specific to your person. The bud of the joke is him being silly, not you or your hair. That said, you are entitled to your feelings and your understanding. If you did not or do not like such jokes, it is alright for him to feel embarrassed, and in time he will learn to remember not to make such jokes around you.

I live in the US and have never seen a shooting. The US is 70 times bigger than Denmark. So there will be more crime just because of that and because there is more crime in certain neighborhoods. But the US is safer than most countries.

Making fun of friends and family is an important part of life. We mock each other a lot, but first we have to EARN the right, by showing we can make fun of ourselves. I started a new job and on day 3 the boss threw the first "insult" at me - about my family background. Happy as a pig in dirt I told my people: It's day 3, and they've already started bullying me. Normally they give it a week or so. I just know this is going to be a GREAT place to work! Trust me, we only tease people we like. We wouldn't bother with people we don't care for. And that's why there is no political correctness in Danish humour: you can mock anybody, if you care about them. What this Danish guy actually did, was he comstumized a joke especially for you: The version I get is: You would be in a lot earlier in the morning, if you didn't waste all that time painting those freckles. You should be proud he made that efford. And that he trust you enough to tease you. My Brittish husband introduced me to a Gambian classmate. I instantly like her! Alas, my husband died of shame, when is asked her if she new why she was pink in her hands and under her feet. Actually I could feel his anger... will he kill me or just divorce me? But when I told her it was because she'd been standing on all four when she got spray painted, she was in stiches 🤣 I knew we were soulmates! And she saved my marriage 😉 Peace and love

skandinavia has been over run with foreigners the last 30 years and many of them work black or get welfare have a bunch of kids. it cost alot and the danish welfare is going down with what u get the last 20 years. but hey if i see u i wold give u a smile.. cheers and maybe it explains it.

Mainly Sweden has been overrun. Denmark is handling it. And this individual is helpful to Danish society so that's a positive thing.
