@@nigelwilkins It was mentioned on another video that someone swam over to the bridge, I think it was the owner of the Haweswater hotel, the water must have been brassic even in the summer months being 750 feet abov sea level.

If you could find some old photos are drawing of that village the way it was and do some drop-in it would be a real winner. Just a thought.
