I had one of those hoover vacuums, and the small washing machine. It was a good little washer and my baby diapers always came out so clean. I remember my granny and my mom having the wringer washer, and I used to love to help put the clothes through the wringer. Lovely museum outing, I always take longer than needed in a museum, as I get caught up in every detail. Thanks for sharing.. 💝
Oh that museum is great. I used to help a few old neighbors with laundry long ago. Wringer washers lasted a long time. But labor intensive and took a long time.
We had a hairdryer like that, also the washing machine and Mum had a machine with the mangle on the top, I remember using the old fashioned mangle that we had in the back yard, and the old rack that we had for drying the clothes, easier these days with an automatic washing machine, happy days good vlog.
Aah, the Waterfront, my local museum! Would have been great if I'd been there that day and spotted you and IB. I'd have known it was you by the cow hat 😃
Oh wow! So that's why they had two tubs. I thought one was for soapy water and the other for rinsing. IB said he remembers his grandmother using hers. Thanks! :)
Oh cool! My mum used to tape the radio with a hand-held mic with a reel to reel tape recorder. Now that's going back a bit! I was fascinated by that as a child.
@@PlanetImo we had a reel too reel too one had my mums voice on it but when dad died I could not find it she died when I was 5 and don't and can't remember what she sounded like she was from North Wales rhylxx
The miners used to take canaries down in a cage and if the bird became sick it would meen there was carbon monoxide this gave them time to get out or put respirators on
My mom had a wringer washer when I was little. My hand went through the wringer 😫 they had to take me to the emergency room to make sure nothing was broken….boy did that hurt!

The museum tour was excellent. I appreciate the quick shots of the information. I can freeze the screen and read along. Thanks!
