Russell M. Nelson, president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, opened the faith’s 188th Semiannual General Conference by announcing a “new balance between and connection gospel instruction in the home and in the Church.” It is part of an effort “to strengthen families and individuals through a home-centered and Church-supported plan to learn doctrine, strengthen faith, and foster greater personal worship,” he said.

Was the prophet preparing the members to have family church service at home during the coronovirus outbreak....and now members are having sacrament at home.
I have a feeling he was preparing latter day saints for the COVID outbreak. He knew something like it was going to happen.
Can anyone remind me where a statement was made that there should be no extra meetings after the 2 hour Church Schedule and that families should returned to their home for personal study.

This is a great idea. Now with the extra time you can start a small group bible study in your home. If you dont want to start one you can join one that's probably already going in your area. Most Christian churches have them so just reach out to one and ask. Praise God this is a good move. Please use that time to fellowship with bible believing Christian's.

You're right for the wrong reasons. The Mormon church IS on the decline, but not because of "the power of God" or anything, but because the internet and the free flow of information have exposed the Mormon church for what it is - a fraudulent cult founded by a serial philanderer/sexual predator. it is not an organization led by prophets, seers, and revelators, it is a real estate corporation posing as a church. While prevalent, deceit is not unique to the Mormon church. it can be found in all religions.
