The Simple Designers 2018
For those who are wondering,
The highlight is just a smaller version of the bun, with a lighter color.
The shadows for the bun can be added with pen tool, (black color and lowering the opacity)
For the shadow of the cheese, duplicate the cheese and lower it a bit, arrange it to the back of the original object then change it to black, remove the stroke and lower the opacity( the same can be applied to the rest of the object)

how do you create the shadow? Are you using the pen tool to imitate the lining of whatever you hope to shadow?
yes indeed , i use the pen tool to do that , but some times i just duplicate the shape then give it the shadow color. make sure to see my latest videos i added the short cuts ;)
Yo, I just learned that on my own and played with the opacity.

@@TheSimpleDesigners Ok thanks ! :)
How do you get that option of making edgy edges to a curve?how your cursoe gets that option with the little circle. Is there a keyboard shortcut? Thank you
Thanks ,
First you need to be on one of the latest CC versions of adobe illustrator in order to have those widgets they are not available if you have cs6 version
also you have to select the direct selection tool shortcut key "A"
+The Simple Designers Thank you very much!
with pleasure ;)
Nice colors

What is the ideal size of stroke weight for line art?
It depends on the size of the artboard, for an artboard with size of 800/600px i usually go with 8 points on the stroke weight
Thanks a lot for the video! Would you please show how you added the shadows?
Thanks, I really appreciate your feedback, Noha make sure to check one of latest videos i showed that process. if you can't figure it out i can explain here in the comment
I really appreciate your reply! That's actually what I did. I watched the popcorn video and could apply the steps, they're easy. Thanks a lot for the great content! Your art is amazing!

For the upper bread of the burger, why don't take the lower bread, make is a little bigger and rotate it completely ?
Yes it can be done that way, its just a preference that's sometimes you try different shapes to get one unique shape that's makes the illustration pop more.
good job! can you show the continuation of this work?) Love it
