Keep pushing through girl! Always impressed with your ability to balance life, don't lose that! Passed my boards last month and currently going through orientation at my first job, all of the work will be worth it sooner than you think 😚👩🏼⚕️
I became an LPN the first time around I watched your videos as you uploaded them. Now I’m back in RN school and I searched for you girl lol!! I’m back again and stuck❤❤❤
I failed pharmacology the first class I've ever failed in my life... it sucks that I'm behind my cohort and that I failed because of 1 point... but were studying to save a patient not for a test. It sucks that I have to see the same professor very embarrassing but I'm sure it'll make me a better nurse :)
JinetNC I am going through the same thing. I found that we just have to be optimistic. I was lacking passion for learning in my first semester after a very heavy past semester. I'm behind my cohort as well and everyone is starting their clinicals this semester however I will be starting two semesters after them.
I love Professor Fink!! I took his Physiology class at West L.A. and it was my favorite science class, I’ve taken all the RN pre-req classes so that says a lot. He makes learning so easy.
You will forever be my favorite RUclipsr. Love hearing your tips to the madness! I start Practical Nursing school August 14th and I'm currently losing my mind. Thank you for calming my nerves as I sit here at 12:30 am watching nursing school videos! Love you and your motivation.
My pharmacology class is online and I hate it. I spend more time having tech issues and cramming homework in before the due date that I feel like I'm not learning. Thanks for all the tips! :)
This is helpful, thanks. I just finished pharm (prerequisite) and it was the hardest class I’ve ever taken. The color coding is helpful, charts, and lists of drugs in each class, repetition, anything to get those names in your head! Your honest representation of how many things you did to do well shows that it is difficult (but can be done). 😃
My univ breaks up pharm in 2 semesters. Just finished pharm 1 (aka the basics), and so nervous to start pharm 2. This video helped so much!! I had no idea how I was gonna study all these meds, but LOOOVE your organization & studying skills. Thank you so much!
I'm not going to lie your video just scared me to death and no I'm way more nervous for school!! I got accepted for the fall semester😭😭 this was very helpful though!!!!!
thank you holley for making these videos! I'm in the process of reapplying to nursing schools so I really appreciate all the insight you have been sharing. I absolutely love your kind&genuine spirit and I'm so stoked to see you continue doing amazing things in your nursing journey. hope you're having an amazing summer!
Your videos are so great. I love how honest you are about your experience ( I also did borderline this past semester in patho) and I have pharm this upcoming semester!! So this video helped a lot thank you!
I just got accepting into my nursing program and I’m so excited to start in the fall! I have pharm first semester and I’m so glad you made this video!!
When I took pharm, I didn't realize how important just focusing on the drug class was! I got bogged down trying to study every single individual drug. I still passed with a B, but I could have made it a lot easier on myself lol. So funny how we can recall info just by remembering what color we used in our notes! That def helps me too!
Loved this video! Starting pharm and fundies in August! I'm super nervous but this definitely helps! Thank you and congrats on passing your classes and getting through!
Thanks Holl-doll!! :) I love how organized you are! Thanks for the great tips. Super excited (and nervous) to start pharm and patho this fall! Good luck with your semester!
LoveLuna mine is the same except for intro A&P, advanced A&P and Human patho they all had end of term exams with one written assignment it's crazy her pharmacology also seemed a bit more about learning and the drugs themselves where as we mainly focused on the drug categories and how they work in the body
hey holley! yes, plz do more nursing videos. its very helpful and informative for me personally bcuz I'm in the process of doing prerequisite courses to enter into an accelerated nursing program. however, i really enjoyed watching this video bcuz ill know what to expect when taking pharmacology. keep up the good work and look forward to you posting a video when you graduate!
I start pharmacology next fall but I want to start getting familiar with the class and how to study because everyone says its the hardest class in nursing school. So, I want to get prepared. Thanks so much for the tips!
We have an ATI test over that book this semester and I'm so scared because everyone says that that exam will make or break you for the semester. 😅 thank you so much for your tips!! Ill definitely pay attention to the drug class content and watch for matching suffixes. I ordered these giant pharm phlash cards I found on amazon with lots of content and pictures so I hope that helps too!
wow thank you for posting this video. i'm nervous to take pharm, i heard its the hardest class ever. i will take your tips into consideration. and good luck to you on your upcoming semester!
Thank you for the video! I've been watching so many pharmacology nursing videos. I start my second semester of nursing in a week and I'll be taking pharmacology this semester. So I'm trying to prepare myself because I'm also taking Med Surge I and I know they will be the hardest classes this semester. I'm really going to work ahead this semester and breath!
you’re so beautiful 💕💕 i have a nursing channel as well and i love yours! I love finding other nurse vloggers like myself. You give your subscribers a great look into the nursing field💕 keep up the good work love
I'm in semester 3/5 & already finished pharm, however I think using this organization and study technique will really help with my other classes. Glad I saw this !
Thank you for posting this video!! I start nursing school in August and we dont do pharm until second semester (they do 2 semesters for pharm because the pair it with pathophyis), I feel like I am going to need all the help I can get! I have to rewrite things to make it stick so I think these tips are going to really help. Thanks girl
You're lucky you got the summer off! We got stuck with OB, Mental Health, and Informatics this summer. We finish up finals this week but HOLY MESS do I want to die. Cramming those classes in 8 weeks was seriously the hardest thing ever.
I agree with funds being more difficult then pharm. I went into this quarter thinking the opposite. I'm taking them both at the same time and passing both with a B. Fingers crossed that I keep it that way with finals coming up.
Man I wish my school required a 75. Our school the lowest you can get is an 80. I got a D on my first pharm test semester and it was the lowest D at a 76 percent....needless to say I found your video cause I need inspiration on how to study for pharm 😔
I've been in summer school selfishly waiting for you and all of my other favorite YT nursing students to start back! This was great to get me ready for pharm. I have to stay on top of it! I start med surg I, psych, and pharm on the 22nd! It was the 21st but they pushed back the first day for the eclipse! Thanks for the video :)
Absolutely love your channel been watching for about four or five months and I've got to say your like one of the best channels out there, I'm starting my BSN in child nursing in sept. It's weird we specialise before we go into uni it's Scotland 😂😂 I was wondering if you have thought about making a video on male nurses and what your experience is ? Again love the videos ❤️
Thank you so much for this video! I'm starting pharm in about 2 weeks. There are like 12 people that are joining my cohort because they failed it last semester. So yeah, I'm a little nervous
Hello! Great stuff. Very helpful I will do the binder classification organization thingy. Can you up load that study guide you showed in the beginning of the video? Many thanks
I needed this last semster, at TTU Traditional BSN we only have four semsters (tri-year semesters) and they hit us with Pharm right off. We use ATI 10.0 edition, in L1 we had Core/Fundimentals, Pharm, Integrated Learning 1, and Health promotion. We ended up having seven exams for Pharm and one ATI final. What helped me a ton was using flashcards. We were told that it is expected for us to study 40 hours a week and mine was planned out to be roughly 30 hours pharm and 10 hours the other three haha. Side note: I love your mom on Snapchat!
I just took my ATI TEAS I get my scores tomorrow I am oh so nervous! I love all your videos and enjoy being able to see what I will hopefully will be going through soon!
Love your tips and study methods! We use similar methods as well! And that's the same textbook we use as well! So awesome that you're instructor gave you the book!
Hey girl! I absolutely love you videos. I'm starting my nursing program in less than a month and I'm definitely excited and nervous. Do you have any good tips for motivating yourself to keep health and fitness of a high importance? I love to workout and do it almost everyday during summer, but during school I notice that when I become tired and stressed out I make every excuse such as needing to study to not workout and eat right? Just thought I'd ask to see if you have any really good ways to balance school as well as health and fitness ? Thanks girly :)
I love your videos! I was wondering if you've thought about making one specifically about clinical rotations, I start clinicals in September and couldn't be more excited/nervous!
Pharmacology is definitely the biggest topic in nursing school. I generally feel like many notes make me confusing but you've organized things well!! Do you use any additional resources along with given materials? I mean platforms like Lecturio, cause I feel like they're doing a pretty good job with courses they offer
I personally love quizlet! I used it in high school and it’s been saving my butt ever since! You can take practice quizzes, take multiple choice tests, look at flash cards, all based on what you type into the study set!
I will be starting nursing school on September and I'm so excited! During your first semester what classes did you take? I love your videos & thanks for your help Holley
I just found your channel and I've been binging on all of your videos!! Totally random, but do you have a spray tan in this video or do you tan in the tanning bed? Your tan is beautiful!
I’m in my sophomore year spring semester. I just started clinicals and Im taking pharm. I’m so scared of failing this class. Fundamentals was a breeze. I’m so nervous 😰
Your tips got me an 100 on my first Pharm test 💪🏼
Keep pushing through girl! Always impressed with your ability to balance life, don't lose that! Passed my boards last month and currently going through orientation at my first job, all of the work will be worth it sooner than you think 😚👩🏼⚕️

Shit happens! You will get through it and yes - 100% be an amazing nurse!
You can do it!

I'm behind my cohort as well and everyone is starting their clinicals this semester however I will be starting two semesters after them.
Same situation i am so stressed because of pharmacology
Hi, how did you guys get over that pharmacology class?
Watch Professor Fink's pharmacology playlist on youtube. I'm not even in nursing school yet and I'm way ahead of everyone!
Ive done that too!!! I start pre reqs in January and Ive started studying math and anatomy already.
I love Professor Fink!! I took his Physiology class at West L.A. and it was my favorite science class, I’ve taken all the RN pre-req classes so that says a lot. He makes learning so easy.
Thank u!
How many videos do they have? Is it a
series?
You're one semester ahead of me which is perfect because you always update after the class with helpful tips hahahaha I love it
Hahaha yes that is very convenient! Glad I can help!
You will forever be my favorite RUclipsr. Love hearing your tips to the madness! I start Practical Nursing school August 14th and I'm currently losing my mind. Thank you for calming my nerves as I sit here at 12:30 am watching nursing school videos! Love you and your motivation.

I have my pharm final (worth 50%) this coming Thursday! Thanks for the tips!
Good luck, girly!

jaelyn 15 I wish our school did this
My mind works the same way. I survived my first semester by writing, typing, & rewriting. That’s the only way it sticks!
I'm not going to lie your video just scared me to death and no I'm way more nervous for school!! I got accepted for the fall semester😭😭 this was very helpful though!!!!!
Don't be scared, babe! It is very difficult but completely doable!
thank you holley for making these videos! I'm in the process of reapplying to nursing schools so I really appreciate all the insight you have been sharing. Yes omg! I would focus on drugs too at first, but eventually learned that drug classes are way more important!
How to study pharmacology on the classes?
I dropped pharmacology in the Spring . I'll be taking it again . I will pass this semester !!!!!

Love your videos! I find it interesting hearing about nursing school and how different it seems to be structured compared to over here in Australia
LoveLuna mine is the same except for intro A&P, advanced A&P and Human patho they all had end of term exams with one written assignment it's crazy her pharmacology also seemed a bit more about learning and the drugs themselves where as we mainly focused on the drug categories and how they work in the body

My boyfriend is in school with me so I will see what I can do!
Wow this video was awesome! I copied your link to all my classmates! This was so helpful.
I am really terrified of pharmacology. I am starting it next semester and your tips really motivated me so thanks!😊
Thank you so much for this video! I'm starting pharm in about 2 weeks. There are like 12 people that are joining my cohort because they failed it last semester.
So yeah, I'm a little nervous
Ilysm. I love the content u put out💕
Thank you:)))
Katie Sutton same x
You are so organized! I wish I was that organized 😂 Just finished my 2nd semester this summer...start my third semester in 2 weeks ! 😊
My program doesnt do a pharmacology course anymore, they are just integrating it into all of the courses.
That sounds like its easier to digest. I think my school does that too but I'm not sure.
Thanks for this video!! I start Pharm tomorrow!!😬
my pharm class is a self-taught class!! we are assigned readings each week and we are teaching ourselves pharm while in funds :(
You're the best I just love all of your videos! ❤❤
I had to watch this twice (before the semester started and during the semester lol). But thank you!! This video is very helpful :)
Hello! Great stuff. Very helpful I will do the binder classification organization thingy. Can you up load that study guide you showed in the beginning of the video? Many thanks
My program makes us take Pharm, Patho, Fundamentals, Health Assessment, and an Intro to Nursing class all in the first semester 😭 pray for me
Wonderful Video! Thank you so much for making these wonderful videos!

Great tips... I am entering my third week of Nursing school... It's so crazy.. Can you make a video about your clinical experience

This class is coming up for me in a few months.....this video was sooooooo helpful!
I love your videos! I was wondering if you've thought about making one specifically about clinical rotations, I start clinicals in September and couldn't be more excited/nervous!
Yes ma'am!!! I can do that!
You're videos are so helpful! Thank you!
I’m going into my 2nd semester and I’m 2 months pregnant !!😃😭
Super thank you for making this study tips video. 😊
What size binder did you use for Pham and/ or fundamentals. Prepping for my first semester and I love the way you organized your notes.
Holley you are my whole life 🖤
hahahahahah much love Ashley
Ahh I can't believe you replied! You inspired me to follow my dream and go to nursing school! Thank you so much for replying!
I'm taking my pharamacology proctor for ATI in couple weeks! Eeekkk!
Pharmacology is definitely the biggest topic in nursing school. I generally feel like many notes make me confusing but you've organized things well!! Do you use any additional resources along with given materials? I mean platforms like Lecturio, cause I feel like they're doing a pretty good job with courses they offer
This helps so much! Your so inspiring!!!
Thanks so much, Natalie!
Can you do more videos about how you study for the different classes related to the nursing program
Have a pharm test next week and I'm procrastinating by watching this 😅
study woman!
Mercy
Re-writing it my top tip personally! I have notebooks full of rewritten notes!
Yes pharmacology was sooooo much easier than fundamentals for me. 😭
Golden Ma aw
My instructor teaches by system instead of classification!!! So it’s so here to study by class
Fundamentals is freaking hard!
hahaha yes
can you give a closer look at your pharm notes? picture maybe? also an update since you've been a nurse for a year?
I love the videos about nursing school! I start my RN program in two weeks. Where did you get your pen organizer?
I just found your channel and I've been binging on all of your videos!! Totally random, but do you have a spray tan in this video or do you tan in the tanning bed? Your tan is beautiful!
You should link that packet sis we need it😂😭💕
I start my senior year on August 21 also
#Twinning
I’m in my sophomore year spring semester. I just started clinicals and Im taking pharm. I’m so scared of failing this class. Fundamentals was a breeze. I’m so nervous 😰
