He's right, this country has lost it's ambition. Banks in this country won't touch you unless they can get a charge on your property as security, we're far behind other countries in infrastructure (when we used to build infrastructure for other countries). Instead of idolising great engineers and thinkers (like Brunel, as an example), we idolise airhead influencers and people whose only contribution is negative. Anyone who wants to set up their own business is better off going abroad.
If you don't believe in your idea enough to put your asset on the line then why should lenders believe in your idea enough to put their capital on the line.
