- BJP is looking to re-build its presence in TN, especially after winning no seats in the 2019 general elections & a poor showing in the 2021 assembly polls. Part of that plan is to field the state's BJP Chief K Annamalai, from the party's newfound stronghold, Coimbatore. In an Election Exchange Exclusive, the state party chief told CNBC-TV18's Jude Sannith on the campaign trail, that the BJP expects to poll a vote share of 60% from the constituency, on the back an election campaign focused on reviving the town's auto component plants & foundries.
