They do send all the crap ones to North America. I have a friend who used to work at Toyota in Japan and he told me the best and most luxurious models were destined for the European and the Saudi Arabia market. The North America market had to make do with lower end stuff primarily because of excessive federal regulations in regards to nearly everything so the good stuff couldn't be built into those vehicles. Blame your government.
