Thank you! Every test or challenge in our life is a huge burst of spiritual energy. We can use the energy for growth or reaction. If we choose a wise way of overcoming the challenge (for example, “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing…” (1 Peter 3:9-14)), we are spiritually growing. If we choose a usual way of overcoming the challenge our reaction give us temporally satisfaction but we remain in the same level of consciousness.
Thanks! The arabic (Quranic) word for test is "fitnah" which also refers to the impurities that float to the surface when gold is heated at high temperatures. Similary, the heat of life can also cleanse us if we can see them through patiently.
