I found this mod to be very frustrating. I had a lot of trouble figuring out where to go and what to do, annoying enemy placement, and I was completely lost after the part where the HECU blows up your rocket.
Reminds me of the ocean lab from Deus Ex.

Half-Life mods which assume your character to BE Gordon shouldn't take the camera away from you to show you stuff in order to "make it more modern" I don't mind seeing the action from up high for myself, or on a monitor. But saying, "look at this right now" is bad...

I dont mean to shit on the mod authors parade or anything, but sunlight barely reaches half a mile down into the ocean, so why is there so much light coming from the windows if its in the challenger deep, plus the pressure would crush him
It would be a controlled, pressurized environment, kind of like how an airplane works (though pressure that deep would probably break the entire facility either way, idk). But on the sunlight part you're right about that.

The part with "Einstein" is soooooo annoying, it's very unclear which doors he needs to open versus which ones you have to open in some bizarre way, and also he keeps being stupid, not activating the damn retina scanners even when he should! I always hated that part in the original Challenger Deep mod already, but somehow it became worse with the remake, in the original the game at least very clearly said "Einstein has to follow you at all times" but now it just says "he has to be with you" once???

Why the hell is there sunlight reaching the bottom at that depth? How can there be open moonpools and hull breached rooms down there that don't instantly kill the player upon entry due to the immense atmospheric pressure differential?
I guess we could chalk it up to old Half Life mods just being kind of weird.

Is there a Challenger Deep 1?
I'm 99% sure it's called challenger deep 2 because in real life there's already a challenger deep. Although it's not an underwater laboratory it's just a giant trench that's like 36,000 feet underwater, which is also off the coast of Japan like the fictional challenger deep 2 laboratory is in this mod. So no, there's no challenger deep 1 mod

those crouch jumps at the end... at 1:20:50 ish - how are you doing that? those boxes are too high to crouch jump... i'm assuming you're using long jump somehow but still makes me wonder why the mapper would expect people to do that when it isn't something that's ever done in half-life.
how to not map 101...
i can get up on the first box by long jumping up onto it but i can't get it to work for the second, higher box once i'm on the first one.
k nevermind i finally got it after like 10 attempts..and i've played HL/CS and mods for thousands upon thousands of hours...one of many design decisions in this mod that really just left me scratching my head.
