This is another haircut & hairstyling video with the Mister Pompadour styling products. We used the natural beeswax with paste texture powder for perfect hold and his volume. I was about to comment on how self-conscious I feel after watching this guy, but then I read the comment section and see it's not me being too dramatic.

You are an incredibly talented at your craft. The videos are beautifully shot. The one critique I have is with the camera work and editing. So many of the best shots are faded in or out too early or shot from awkward angels that cut the models face off. Both the cut and the model sell the look. Beautiful work and stunning model, but your art ends up not being presented as well and as fully as it could. Keep up the amazing work.

I’m a 150% heterosexual male. Not sure why I needed to begin the comment with that statement, but I’m sure you can imagine why. I mean, extremely straight. Nothing against those who choose to engage in any type of relations with the same sex. All the power to you. It’s your life, do you. Ok, so I’ve established my sexuality and covered my LGBT+(I know there’s more but don’t judge me for this part) bases in terms of expressing my love for all. Firstly, let’s give the barber some flowers. Kochi? Not sure if that’s his name or what it is, but I’ve been following for a bit, and I tend to enjoy channels that feature male hair styling as it inspires my out cuts and styles. This easily is the best channel in terms of content, quality of the work being done and the actual presentation of the content - the production value is great; the choice of clients is top North. The stylist work is incredible and in tune with current trends which is very valuable to me frona client perspective - I am not in the industry. And even the choice of music is tasteful and works well. This area is a very touchy subject for some channels on the sense that it can make or break content. It’s also a distraction if your content is meant to be educational and include voiceovers, even with captions, that were meant to be heard. I’d say as someone who works in the industry, create your content for the user lying in bed listening with their headphones on while their significant other is asleep or the guy on his couch playing it on his tv while he multitasks or does other things. What that means is adjust the volume levels accordingly - we have all gone deaf when music hits and it’s set at a level 150x of the rest of the video. And, uptempo music works surely, but blasting very aggressive beats, as well as at an astronomical sound level as mentioned, can be very abrasive and turn off users. Also, depending on your audience or intended audience (that’s big, know who you are targeting) you might want to refrain from profanity for example. Also, be a user before a creator. Think of yourself watching it and what would make you like it and MOST IMPORTANTLY, treat every video as if it would be the first piece of exposure a user will get of your channel. We often hear that you only get once chance to make a first impression and this is where it holds real truth. Do anything to turn off a viewer; regardless of how well produced your content is, you have lost them. You want to draw them and get that kike and that follow. You want them to traverse deep into that rabbit hole on your channel. So, that being said (looks like this turned into a free creator tutorial for those who stumbled upon I and follow allow with what may seem like redundant rambling), create short and punchy content as well. There’s a reason TikTok has exploded and other channels have expanded to include short clips. This is based on user data and the average length people like to view and how long you have to wow their attention. That data is out there and I won’t share that as this is a free lesson and sometimes doing your own research is the best way to retain the content as well as build up your database of quality resources that will enable you to be the best at what you do. Look at that; some call it ADHD, I call it even giving you research tips on how you research. 🤯 anyways, that means crest shorts that complement your videos and take your most viewed stuff and chop it up to include the best stuff that data tells you proper watch. The beauty of these tools, as well as some external ones and experts like me (DM for legit consultation if you need), is that they provide a lot of the useful data analytics for you. Who watches. When they watch. What parts they watch the most based on the heat charts. Finally, and this will carry some irony if you’ve gotten this far so I’ll caps it, READ YOUR DAMN COMMENTS. Don’t be ignorant. Don’t fight back. Don’t block them because you’re scared. Don’t remove negative comments and only push the positive. You’re not fooling anyone. And reply. To the negative ones too. But only if warranted. Don’t engage with trolls or individuals using hate speech or purposefully inciting negativity without any context or real feedback. Best of luck. Where was I.
