I lost more than 50-100 hairs in one day because I was confident that I could use a round brush! :) haha! Flash backs from when I was a kid and used grandma's brush. Nightmare! What am I doing wrong? Do you have a video on how to use a round brush?
I have been doing your Trinity routine for about 2 months. I didn’t tell my hairdresser what I was doing at all. She has been my hairdresser for over 10 years. My last appointment she said my hair has never been so healthy and thick! Thank you for all the information you put out there!! Im definitely a fan!
@@BlowoutProfessor I have been following your advice, leave in conditioner, olaplex number 3, protein mask and pureology leave in conditioner. Wow thank you. Game changer for my chemically treated hair.
Summary of the recommendations: 1) Don't overstimulate your scalp, it will cause irritation and the scalp may produce more oil 2) Don't brush your hair while it is dirty to avoid spreading the oil to the rest of your hair 3) Hair shedding is normal and it can vary from person to person, there is not an average. The important thing is to keep an eye on how much you personally shed and monitor if there are any changes. 4) Don't oil your hair for pre-wash it is a waste of product and you will have to use more shampoo to remove the excess oil 5) Find your shampoo soulmate based on your hair type (thin, medium or coarse) 6) For applying shampoo, do not lather it in your hands, put an amount in one of your hands and with the other take a small amount of the liquid then press it into your scalp in different sections of your hair then work it with your fingertips. Also do not apply shampoo directly on your mids and ends, only take some lather from the top and apply it to the mids. 7) Always double wash, for the second wash use half he amount you used the first time, until your hair gets a lot of lather, that is the signal your hair is clean. 8) If you use a hair mask you do not need conditioner and viceversa. 9) Get rid of most of the excess water in your hair by gently ring it out (it should not be soaking wet) and then put conditioner-hair mask on your mids and ends. Let conditioner sit for 2 minutes and hair masks from 8 to 10 minutes. 10) Dry your hair gently with a microfiber towel or a t-shirt, dry your hair by gently pressing the towel into the hair so it absorbs the water. 11) Spray your hair with leave in conditioner, number of sprays will depend on your hair type. 12) Air drying is not bad for the hair 13) Blow drying: Use blowdry cream with heat protectant. Apply a pea size from the bottom up. Avoid putting product on the top of your hair. Use a blowdry that matches your hair type. 14) Iron work: Use a thermal heat protectant irons are hotter than blow dryers. A thermal protectant with hold will help get the style quicker and it will last longer. 15) Less is more for the heat protectant 1-2 sprays per section then brush it out to distribute the product, until you cant feel the product. 16) Rub oil on your hands and apply it to your ends (oil will depend on your type of hair) less is more when it comes to oil, start with a small amount and work it up if you need more but again less is more.
I love that you are consistent with your advice! Most hair specialists/influencers often change their care and product recommendations in order to vary their content, follow trends and attract new sponsors. I definitely see improvement in my hair health and style. Thanks!
That's awesome you've seen a change! I totally agree ...I think brand deals have been really bad for the industry :/ So much bad advice and wasted money on bad products... It really needs to change.
What exactly is his advice? Click his link and buy the products listed so he gets a cut? What a joke! He completely skates right over the subject of scalp conditions, etc. And use caution when using pureology leave in conditioner., It will eventually eat your hair... pending law suit
That is one of the first things I noticed especially about influencers in South Africa and it was so frustrating because I was looking for genuine solid advice. People who follow them go from bandwagon to bandwagon. Chris's advice has improved my hair from the first piece I've implemented. I'm so happy to have found the Channel. Thank you, Leslie and Chris❤
One of the biggest reasons I love your channel is you do not give me reason to doubt your motives behind the advice you give. You’re not pushing me to buy products from you or an affiliate, and you’re telling me to use the least amount of product possible. I’ve been following your advice for only 2 weeks and I already see a difference. Thank you for providing the content that so many of us actually need!!!
@@elleni-41 Hello! I appreciate your opinion. I realize he’s making product recommendations. But he’s not pushing me to buy from him directly or pushing discount codes where he’s going to get some kind of kickback. I also realize that he is as a byproduct promoting his salon, and I don’t fault him for that. His advice is still working fantastically for me. Have a good day!
@@Cindy-ln3do ..i watched every video he has... n cause of his videos my hair is 100 percent better..im 41 ,at 40 I learned how to take care of my hair properly thanx to this guy..👌👌
I am amazed at how little shampoo I need for the second wash and yet it lathers is so much better than the first wash. I always thought it was because I didn't wash the first shampoo out well enough, lol. Such a wealth of information, concise and professional, you never waste a word. Thanks as always.
I’m here to confirm that this routine works wonders! Thanks to the hair quiz I was surprised to find out that I have coarse hair, not medium how I always thought. I ordered the Moroccanoil set and followed this routine - I noticed a major change in my wavy hair even after the first use! My hair has been so frizzy and frustrating for almost two decades, I resigned myself to thinking there was nothing I could do except pay for expensive treatments. But now with just a little investment in the right products, techniques, and patience, my hair iooks better than ever! Loving also my new ionizing hair dryer…😊🎉
Prior to finding this channel I was spending $100 every 2 months on hair cuts just to be unhappy with my hair on a regular basis. Once I found your channel I went out and put that haircut money into the right products instead. Now I'm heat styling once a week on Wednesdays, and having amazing hair through Sunday. Your hair care trinity and tips really changed how I show up in the world. Thank you so much!
Chris, uh…how can I say this without sounding inappropriate? “I think about you in the shower.” 😂 You’re that little angel on my shoulder who keeps me from being lazy with my hair routine. 2 months in, following you to the letter, with glorious results! Love love love you! Thank you darlin’ ❤
Chris you are an angel!! I've been doing it all wrong my whole life. I've had a very unhealthy obsession with my flat iron for over 15 years and it was really taking a toll. It's been about 6 weeks since I started the trinity hair routine along with the heat protection and oil and holy cow, best hair of my life. Thank you!! 😁
I want to add this: the last step in your shower routine should be using your shower gel. Meaning first do your hair products and after that you clean your body with soap or whatever you´re using. If you do it the other way around it can lead to clogged pores on your body/back resulting in acne since the products that are washed out of your hair aren´t properly cleaned from your body and instead stay there and cause pimples. Had that happen to me and it took me forever to realize why i suddendly had pimples on my upper back ^^° but it was an easy fix :)
Spot on, read that a while back and I've always finished with my body, it's always been an instinct and glad I have as I have never suffered with acne on my back.
I commend you for having the knowledge and wanting to educate everyone about something a lot of people don’t investigate yet are trying to address every time they wash their hair. I can tell you that not ONE of my hairdressers in my 39 yrs of life have EVER broken it down for me in any way shape or form. Its always about the most expensive and popular product their salon has purchased that they want to sell you. So thanks for taking the time.
Yes! That's been exactly my experience as well. It's never felt right to me and now with my own salon I'm doing things differently. Thanks for noticing 🙏
@@BlowoutProfessor I have a question about the heat protector spray if you wouldn’t mind? 🫣At night I wash my hair, then I add the leave in, drops of oil on my ends..and then the heat protector spray for the flattening iron while my hair is damp. My hair dries over night. The next morning I do my hair and put drops of oil on my ends. Does the product still work to protect my hair or does it need to be put on right before you introduce the heat? Thank you for your time!
@@priscilla6440maybe just touch up with a small amount in the morning just to be sure, or put your hair up in a bonnet at night to keep the heat protectant sealed! i feel like it’d rub off onto your pillow at night honestly
[tldr: bamboo isn't a tree. we aren't chopping a tree] just to note about bamboo, it isn't a tree, it's a form of grass. it takes at most 5 years to grow to maturity cuz it grows super fast, unlike trees where once you chop it down, you've got a stump for the rest of your life. it is one of the strongest and most durable hardwoods because it is grass. bamboo is also incredible at absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. therefore no trees are being chopped, and its honestly better for the environment than plastic. only problem is there's high demand for them and most of it is being grown in china, therefore there's still a massive carbon footprint due to travel. there are some bamboo farms in southern america and some species of bamboo can grow in northern usa and uk, but it's only a fraction of where supply is. Also most bamboo farms start as clearing acres of land, decreasing biodiversity, and since bamboo is the only crop grown in that land, no animals, plants or microorganisms can thrive there. it just reduces biodiversity a ton (which applies to all crop fields. its just a problem with farms) Also some farmers may use chemical pesticides or fertilizers on the bamboo even though it grows incredibly fast regardless. I researched a series of materials when i was younger. i just wanted to put this out there because it's really irritating to hear to not get a bamboo brush because "trees are being chopped"
I’ve been following your advice and product recommendations for about a month and a half now and I notice a big change in how long I can go between washes (3-4 days now as opposed to 1-2 days before) and the texture of my hair has significantly changed (no more crispy bangs!). I’m glad you addressed how much hair loss is appropriate because I tend to lose a lot on washdays! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and here’s to hoping my breakage will grow out with time and I’ll be free of damaged hair!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. My hair has TRANSFORMED with Chris’ trinity hair routine! I have fine, brittle and not very dense hair and it’s gotten me down for years. It’s never looked better. Defo worth the investment in a few good, well matched products that I use sparingly as I don’t need to wash my hair as much. If you’re feeling under confident with your locks, I’d defo recommend trying. Xx
@@Koteto22 sure. I used redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner, Moroccan oil on my ends (if you find it too heavy there’s also olaplex oil), olaplex no3 and redken one united (as an alternative leave in conditioner as I couldn’t get hold of the pureology one as Chris said this is the next best option. Xx
Bamboo is not a tree. Since I found your channel I finally have a good hair day/week and I started getting compliments on my hair. Thank you it took 30 years for me to finally figure out how to deal with my hair. I am very grateful

Been following for about 2 nearly 3 months. The new hair I see is a lot healthier, but my ends are still frizzy and there are still many flyaways. I do believe the routine works and am pleased with the appearance of my new hair growth. I’m also happy that I don’t have to quit straightening altogether because no one needs to see me at my poofiest.
Thank you for your video. I am so glad to finally find a hairdresser. Who knows what he’s talking about. I have so many friends at work to have so many bad experiences with hairdressers. I am going to pass you on to each and everyone of them again thank you.
This guy knows what he's talking about 🙌🏽 Seriously! I started using his Trinity routine and my hair was immediately much happier and healthier. His tips about using a professional shampoo suited to your hair type and a leave in conditioner were particularly useful. I use the shampoo that he recommended for my hair type - it worked soooo well! Everyone should be doing this. Best hair advice I've ever received! The only tip I don't really agree with is that we should not put oil in our hair as a pre shampoo treatment. I think it's more about how you do it. Oil in the hair can perform the same function as a mask. But you need to follow certain guidelines for that for it to work. Just as you do with any other product. Speaking from experience. 😊
Wow! I’ve watched thousands of hair videos/tutorials. This by far is the best I’ve ever seen! Hit all the important points of how to and what not to, while demonstrating, and nonchalantly adding in products you use/advise without actually pushing the brand. There was no random rambling, all the info was delivered perfectly keeping me engaged and not wishing you would hurry up with the small talk! This is how you do it! Well Done!!!! Clicking that subscribe button❤
I discovered your channel randomly about a month ago and immediately took the quiz and bought the recommended products for my hair type and changed everything about my hair care! I am shocked that by using the holy trinity I have been able to go 4-5 days between shampoos! I also tried dry shampoo for the first time. And once a week I've been using the Olaplex 6 and Moroccan hair mask. I got a wet brush, microfiber towels, sweatbands and a hat for gardening, shower cap, sleeping bonnet and the coil hair holders. It's amazing the difference I've seen in my hair texture and looks in just a few short weeks by using the right products the right way! I can't thank you enough for your easy-to-follow tutorials and for taking the guesswork out of finding products that actually work and using them correctly!
I have been following your system for close to a year now. I only use your recommendations and donated all my other products to my fellow Co workers. My hair is Amazing. Thank you
No truer words have ever been spoken when talking about the importance of finding your shampoo soulmate! I have been using Redken's Volume Injection and my hair practically keeps that fresh washed feel and look all week! It blows my mind!
Yes , I've been trying different shampoos for years and was never happy, would only be able to get 4-5 days. I started using briogeo mango and cherry... can now go 7 days easily!
Congrats on 200k! You're absolutely the most honest, get-to-the-point, best hairdresser out there! I kept buying countless products and trying everything (whole Olaplex range, hair gloss/glaze, protein treatments, keratin treatments etc) and quite frankly, getting lost in what it is that I ACTUALLY need and HOW to create a proper routine. Don't get me wrong, I still use quite a few products but most being the ones you're using/recommending and it transformed my hair! Every single wash means getting perfect hair again until the next one. No more wondering whether or not it will work, or what it is that I've done different since it didn't work as good as last time, and so on and so forth. So I, along with many in here, would like to deeply thank you for everything! You're helping us more than you think and we are so grateful for you. Truly, thank you❤
This is exactly the information I needed and was looking for. I'm a man whose been growing his hair since covid began, now past my shoulders. Thanks so much!!!
I straightened my bang area the other day and was tempted to touch it up a day later, but your words rang like a knell through my mind "always wait three days before using heat again" and when I did do a quick touch up after waiting three days, and then went back curly my curls popped back beautifully.
1. Shampoo that matches your hair type (check Chris' video). Apply on your scalp, not mids. 2. Mask *or* conditioner. Put on your mids and ends, not around your scalp. Take out most of the water in your hair before applying the mask. Let it set for 8-10 minutes. 3. Dry your hair with a microfiber towel (or a t-shirt!). Press the towel in your hair, so the water gets absorbed. 4. Leave in conditioner - spray on towel dried hair: 6-8 sprays for fine dry hair, 8-12 sprays for medium hair and 12-16 sprays for coarse hair. 5. If you do blow dry: Apply a blow dry cream. Apply it from the bottom up. Pea size in enough. No need to put it on the scalp. Only ends and mids. - Iron work: use a heat protector cream before. 6. Final step: apply hair oil on your ends. Fine and medium hair - a few drops. Coarse hair - twice that. Check Chris' list of recommended products for your hair for each step. It's in the comments.
I guess I'll try doing a third wash. I spent nearly $200 on these products and a wet brush. The first time I did this routine, I thought it might actually work. My scalp felt cleaner. I've been doing it for a couple of weeks now. At best, my hair lasts a day and a half before my roots start to look oily and flat. I didnt have any particular hair problems to begin with. I was just tired of washing and blowdrying my hair every day. It would be so nice to go three days. I'll keep trying to make the products your site recommended work.
As far as hair fall, if you’re concerned maybe see a doctor to be safe? I thought I was losing a lot and everyone around me told me it was all in my head. But then I went to get a haircut and without me saying anything, the girl asked me if I was okay health-wise because my hair was alarmingly thinner than it used to be. It was telogen effluvium which sucked but it was nice to know it wasn’t something more serious. It’s all coming back at once!!
Chris, I just happened upon your video while browsing for hair care products. I never knew I was washing my hair the wrong way for the past 49 years. Tried your method of washing hair, and my scalp and hair feels sooo much cleaner. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I've been trying to get my hair/scalp healthy for so long, and because of this I've avoided using my blow dryer to the point that it's DUSTY 😭 thank you for your wisdom on blow drying, i can't wait to start using it again now that i know it's okay!
I really appreciate that you're not selling advertising, but rather educating on what the right ingredients/properties are for hair types. That shows that you have a good compass of values, and I think that's really admirable. 💕☀ greetings from Germany. [used a translator]
Why you are so nice person…I used to get bored with 30 sec video of every professional …but I never got bored watching ur vid coz u give real one & precise & to d point talk & ur not too fast n too slow talk… so thank u…..
I've been following your instructions and my hair is actually clean and finally getting better after I destroyed it. I order all the products you recommend from your store because you give this great information for free. Thank you for doing this!
Bamboo is a good source for floors and other things. It is a fast growing resource. There are no "old bamboo forests." I thought there were different phases for your hair. And one of those phases is more hair shedding. Am I misinformed?
My daughters told me about the t shirt trick but then they found out about the microfiber hair turbans. They are very light and seem like a much better option than a big bath towel turban. I have been using them for a while and really like how light they are and how they don’t pull on my hair. I just want to make sure they are a good choice now that I have invested in quality products you recommended to care for my hair.
Thank you, I was one with unhealthy hair that tried your routine and got the results i wished all my life. Increíble after spending so much money on any promises miracle. I got it. Thanks again.
Hi Chris! I've been using your recommendation for 2 to three months now and I'm astonished with the difference! Not only does my hair look healthy and less 80% frizz but also it sheds a lot less. I lost so much hair even though I was not getting bald, it bothered me and now I brush it and my hair brush looks almost clean with almost no hair! The only difficulty I have is going the 3 days without washing, maybe I still haven't found my shampoo soulmate .
@@nidz_ I have straight hair so it's pretty simple. I only wash my scalp and never my ends with Chris recommended shampoos and then gently dry it with a towel. I usually don't use conditioner only masks and a leave in conditioner. Then I dry it using a heat protectant and that's it. For me the secret was using shampoo 3 times when washing to really take all the oil out.
hi there! what products are you using? if you don’t want to say, that’s totally okay!! if you’re using anything drugstore/“lower end” they have oils that prevent your hair from truly getting clean. also AVOID buying shampoo and conditioners off of amazon, because you can’t tell if they’re real, expired, etc. you also could be using too much shampoo and conditioner, and not washing it out enough potentially as well. maybe toss in a clarifying shampoo weekly too! i recommend kenra’s clarifying shampoo because it’s relatively cost effective for a salon brand, and you can get a very large bottle as well that lasts awhile. another thing, are you using oil, and if so where are you applying it? from your replies it seems like you have the placement right, so maybe try a clarifying shampoo! he also just dropped a video for oily hair abt 6 days ago!
@@trishapaytaskitchenfloor I use a lot of redken shampoos, the volume injection, the neutral ph one and the clarifying one also, I never use the same... I use the neutral pH leave in conditioner from redken and their big blow out heat protectant. I never use oils on my hair unless my ends feel very dry, but that almost never happens
I've only started doing your hair advice for a week and I'm seeing some positive results. For one thing, the shampoo on scalp is clearing my dandruff. Embarrassing but it's true. When I was in highschool, I was taught to not apply shampoo on the scalp. It's probably why I have a dandruff issue. 2nd, I have somewhat frizzy curly hair and it balloons when it dries out. I always blamed it to living in a humid country but I guess my lack of proper hair care routine was the culprit. Ever since I applied leave in conditioner on my hair, my hair is somewhat manageable. It doesn't balloon like it used to do. I'm applying hair oil in the ends but I'm waiting see in a few weeks or months more if the ends would split again. For the first time for a long time, I'm starting to love my hair. Thank you for your channel. It's making me happy ☺️ It's making me really happy.
Brushed out matting in my 14yr old Autistic daughters hair the other night, she's got thick and beautiful hair. 5 brushes full of hair, you can't even tell.... now if it was my hair, I would be bald LOL. Used my wet/dry brush instead of a comb or "tangle remover brush", Biolage Serum - letting it sit for 1-2mins, gently spreading the matting outwards to give it space and product to expand where needed. Took nearly 2hrs, we got there in end. Looking for a good wet/dry brush for thick hair, if you have any suggestions Chris :) That can be bought in Australia. Before anyone comes for me and says: "How can you let your daughters hair get that bad... I would never, I would MAKE her brush her hair, I would hold her down! YOU'RE NEGLECTING YOUR CHILDS HEALTH" If you don't live with Autistic People, or people who have severe sensory issues. You will NEVER know the sadness of being a parent listening as your child pleads/begs for you to stop, the crying, the gagging, hyperventilating, stimming, and fainting that hair brushing can do. You can actually cause your child serious trauma, and yourself.
I tried the perfect way of shampoo after watching a few of your videos. I can't believe how clean my scalp feels and my hair looks so shiny! it never looks that shiny after washing my hair! My ends are alwys pretty dry, but after following his advice for a week or more, my ends are so much healthier! Thank you so much Chris! And also, I had a question. A lot of people online and a few of my friends even says that shampoo should be used by: Taking a mug of water and foaming the shampooo in there. Is it correct?
I have been using the Redken volume injection duo, Redken clarifying shampoo and leave in conditioner that you suggested...my hair has never been in better shape! It is soft AF, shiny, feels like silk! Thank you for the advice!
1. Shampoo 2x. 2. Conditioner 2 mins or hair mask 10 mins Apply mid shaft down to ends on damp hair. 3. Dry hair by wrapping towel around head and pressing into hair. Other methods tangle hair. Must use a leave-in-conditioner after. Apply a blow dry cream or heat protectant for straighten. Brush products through before using hot tools. Hair oil apply to ends and apply the remainder on hands to mid shaft.
Chris, I’ve been using your trinity system since summer 2022 and my hair has never looked or felt better! I’ve been using professional products for 20 years, but have been using the wrong products for my hair type. Your trinity system is an absolute game changer!! The holy grail of hair!! My hair is super fine and I have lots of it. I added Living Proof’s Triple Detox Shampoo once per week as I have hard water. Thank you!
I have hard water too and I definitely worry about what it’s doing to the condition of my hair. When I go on holiday, I’m always amazed at how smooth and conditioned my hair is in a soft water area. Is the detox shampoo suitable for coloured hair? I’ve heard it can strip the colour out?
@@d26s10 I also have colored hair. I haven’t personally had any issues with the Triple Detox Shampoo stripping my color. I typically use the detox shampoo the day before my color service to get rid of the hard water build up and then don’t use it again until a week after the color service so that the color has time to set. I actually think my color looks better and lasts longer using the detox shampoo once per week because I don’t have the hard water buildup in my hair. I’m a medium to dark brunette and the hard water makes my hair look very brassy when I don’t use the detox shampoo.
@@ering7081 oh excellent, thank you. I have the tendency to go warm toned three weeks after my colour which I hate as I’m fair skinned and ashy tones suit me much better, as that’s my natural tone. I will definitely purchase. If you can get Beauty Works where you are, that’s the best blue shampoo I’ve come across that actually cancels out orange. The rest have just dyed my scalp blue.
Comment and question here.. First, thank you! Your advice has been *chef's kiss*. Question is regarding "hot" feeling hair when blow drying.. I know you've said when its hot, stop. I have very straight, very thick, coarse hair and I lightly blow dry then use a blow-dry brush. My hair loves to hold onto water so I will blow dry, feel the "hot" and move onto the next small section to go back and have the hot hair be still wet/damp. Is it best to just stop when hot, let it cool and if damp just go back over it again as many times until its actually dry? Sometimes this can take up to three phases of hot then cool. Thank you for the advice and sharing freely.. simple things like good hygiene and physical care are not always as common knowledge as it could be.
Great question! Coarse hair that holds onto water needs more heat than other hair types. This hair type is typically very healthy and durable in the first place so you don't need to worry about damage as much. I would keep going back over it if you notice it's not dry 👍 Most people should not do this... Only people with your hair type :)
Another brilliant, informative video Chris! I've been following all your advice for about 3 months now. Results have been totally transformative. Can easily go a full week without washing my hair if I want.. You're a genius! And all your dedication, and underdog mentality have made you an exceptional teacher. Thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge & experience with everyone. It really is, as you say a game changer! Just wish your Salon was here in the North East of England! Very best wishes to you and all your team.
Just a friendly note 😊… bamboo is technically a grass and grows back ridiculously fast. Something like an inch an hour fast. That’s why it’s considered sustainable and it’s better to make TP from bamboo than a pine tree that only grows an inch or two a month. Went to a bamboo farm in Hawaii… it was really interesting. Kauai burns Albizia trees at a biomass plant for energy- they are an invasive species that grows 20 feet in a year! Free source of green energy. 🌿
Hi Chris! I hope you can offer an alternative for Redken and Pureology for us in Asia. I'm doing the Olaplex 3 routine with my regular shampoo/conditioner with a leave in conditioner. It feels good. Hope you'll have tips how to thicken fine hair. Thank you 😊
@@BlowoutProfessor Hi Chris! Olaplex is easily available here. I ordered Redken but I hope there are alternatives other than the drugstore products like Tresemme and Loreal.
@@BlowoutProfessorthe professional brands available easily here are Moroccanoil, Briogeo, Quai, Sebastian Professional, Aveda and Olaplex. We also get Kerastase and Schwarzkopf but I don’t know if they are professional. I always have to get Redken and Purelogy products from relatives/friends abroad and I hope you’d have some alternatives from these brands for some of your recommendations. Thanks!
I was shocked that I was applying the products wrong, but super happy that every product you showed is already in my bathroom! Thank you for such a detailed video!
Just an FYI that Bamboo is a grass, not a tree, and it grows like it. One of the fastest growing trees (a Hybrid Poplar) grows up to 5 to 8 feet per year while bamboo can grow over a foot a day depending on the type.
Guys, please listen to his advice! It’s literally hair-life changing. I had the most oily scalp after one day and had to wash my hair every 48 hours, and use dry shampoo in between. Now I can go 4 days in between washes and I don’t have to use dry shampoo. My scalp is so healthy, no itching or bloody stripes from scratching. 😊 The only thing I still can’t to is to do curls on my own hair. 😂
Hi Chris, I'm amazed with your hair routine! I have very fine hair which I haven't been able to grow out because of breakage. I had to wash it every evening, style it with a curling iron in the morning and then it would get oily on the same day. So much frustration, but then I came across your routine. Now I'm able to go for three days without washing and my hair looks better than it ever did! Thank you so much!
In my older age my hair is thinning. You sir have been a life saver. I follow your routines and I see such a difference. You’re a great teacher. Thank you.
personally i rarely blow dry and have never used hair oil or leave in conditioner. i prefer air dry since i get headaches from heat easily.. and my hair still look and feel just as healthy as when i blow dry at the salon/home. i have long straight hair that is mid thickness. i can go up to 1week without washing if i didn't really sweat. i have also checked my hair in a hair clinic before and it is really healthy whereas my friends' have really different routines and none of them use oil. basically, just find which methods fits u.
So should everyone do 2 washes? I’m following your advice like a prescription. Also documenting my blowout professor journey as someone who has NEVER had long hair without extensions. ❤ in a week my hair felt immediately better.
That's amazing! I'd love to see that transformation :) People will eczema and other medical conditions may have their doctor tell them not to. But in general yes two washes 👍 if you only have to wash once you're washing to frequently :)
I came across your channel when I bought the dyson airwrap and because of you I sent it back as it was a terrible product. Additionally I stopped buying so many expensive hair products. Every single time I was going to my hairdresser she was recommending me more and more hair products. I spent so much money on my hair( it is very long) and I didn’t even know that I can actually style it. Now I can go 5 days between washes, which was unthinkable 2 months ago. I can actually start enjoying life now, not washing/ drying my hair. Kristisha from 🇬🇧
The one thing I will disagree on is the bamboo being not enviromentally friendly. A lot of bamboo is grown naturally where it has always grown. It grows REAAAAALLY fast compared to other woods/trees (like 5 years for chinese bamboo types to become 90ft tall in only 3-5 years), like so fast that overgown bamboo forests can be a problem if they're not kept up. Bamboo is way better for the environment in products as long as you're not cutting down already existing trees for bamboo.
We have had a real mixed bag of weather this winter in Canada. My hair is long, and my mid lengths were getting hard to get the comb through with the conditioner. I took your advice, and stopped shampooing my mid lengths. What a difference! I also took the leave in conditioner out of the cupboard, and have been using it. I never knew why I needed it until now. Thank you!
absolutely the BEST hair advice/education/knowledge/tips (shortly: everything about hair!) channel around which gives info without any out of context extras and bla blas.. right to the point exactly, easy to follow, easy to apply and encourages people to love and take "real" care of their hair and be happy..for the first time in my life i decided to invest for my poor thin, fine, damaged, bleached hair no matter what it costs..all because of your approach and the honest feeling you give me thru' that phoney internet garbage..i really appreciate your effort and time.. only thing i could've ask for would be that a wider range of brands and products you advice since it's hard or impossible to find all the products (even if we want it) you recommend where we live..we need some more replacement advices and i think lots of your loyal followers around the globe would agree with me.. and of course sending love to dear "christine the funniest hair salon client ever"! ;))))
This guy knows his stuff. I tried his recommended products and noticed marked improvement. One correction though, bamboo is totally sustainable. It’s not like chopping down a tree.
For years I’ve spend hundreds of pounds on hair products and been disappointed all the time until I’ve discovered your Chanel. Just had a beautiful balayage done in November and for the amount of money paid I wanted to maintain as best as possible so I’ve started using redken products like the shampoo, conditioner, mask and the after shower conditioner and the blow dry cream and I’m going up to 4 days with clean unfrizz hair and after. 4 days I have to use the dry shampoo. I’ve learned so much and it’s worth the investment into this Brand I’m using now so thanks so much for the recommendation, the easy to understand videos and your honesty 😊
I've been following your Trinity routine for about 2 months using the products you recommend for thin, fine, dry hair, I have Hashimitos. I went to the hairdresser yesterday and she couldn't believe how much my hair had grown and how much better the condition is. This was what I needed to finally get the outgrown pixie cut shaped into a bob. I've been trying for 3 YEARS. The only thing I would say is I wouldn't buy the Pureology leave in again, I find the Ouaid leave in far superior but... I never have an oily scalp so that might be why. Invest in the recommendations, follow the routine and you'll save hundreds on products and salon visits 🙂 Thanks so very much. Greetings from a very wet Auckland 🇳🇿
Dear Blowout Professor, All of the information you're giving seems really interesting, but I've noticed that your hair routines are mostly for straight hair or straightening/curling hair. How about those of us with natural curly hair? Any specific routine you could share with us? Also, any chance of a recommended product list but European version? I'm not from the US and I've just researched a little bit in the internet and some of your recommended products I can't find at all. For example, the Pureology leave in conditioner or the Pulp Riot dry shampoo are not available at all on this side of the world. Even US Amazon doesn't ship it to this side. Thank you for the amazing information and tricks you're sharing with us!
I have been watching your video for few weeks now and I must say, I wish I had found you earlier!! Even just following your routine for once with my existing hair products ( I use Loreal professional serie expert products) I can see the major difference. I will gradually replace my products with your recommendation. Thank you so much for your tutorial.
Chris for someone with short/medium fine hair - do you have a recommendation for something for volume or lift? Thank you for your videos - I have learned so much!!!!
I for sure am not Chris, but I have had GREAT success with Bed Head's Small Talk volumizing cream. It leaves my hair light and full(er) without that chalky feel some volumizers leave.
I bought the leave in, deep conditioner and blow out cream you recommended and OMG my hair looks so much healthier. All this time that’s all i needed. 😮
I'd like also a routine for natural wavy hair.. blow-dry kills all my natural waves :( plus, blow-drying on my own it's pretty difficult, my hands coordination when I have to look in the mirror is completely lost 😂 and I think my hair dryer is too strong since I get a lot of flyaways around
Try using a diffuser. Blow drying wavy/curly hair will kill your natural curl pattern and the only way to put a wave back in your hair at that point is with more heat. But if you wet set it and diffuse, you should be good. Check Manes by Mell wavy hair routine for more tips!
One more product is needed in curly/wavy hair - gel! Smooth gel over your curls while they're still quite wet, then diffuse or air dry without touching them at all. Scrunch it up once dry to break up the crunchy feeling. Gel will hold down the frizz while it dries into a curly or wavy shape.
Dear mister, not only are you very very handsome but you saved my hair. In 36 years I have never even used conditioner because I have so fine hair. I did Olaplex 3, washing, leave in conditioner and Olaplex oil ONCE. I can not believe my eyes. It's a before and after in one try. Thank you ❤️
How do I work a volumizing mousse into my routine? I have fine hair and have been using all of your recommended products but am looking for more volume. When and how much of it should I use?
I just started watching your videos about a week ago . I definitely was never washing my hair correctly before. Using your recommended shampoo and conditioner (Redken Volume Injection ) for now and my Leave In Conditioner (my pureology hadn’t come yet ). So I used It’s A Ten lite and my Bumble and Bumble blow out cream . Even using those products, I saw a huge difference in the way my hair looked and felt. Even without a shower cap and putting it back in a coiled hair tie it looked good . Now I will try with the Pureology and shower caps . Have not been to the hair salon since discovering your videos. So haven’t gotten her feedback yet. (My current hair stylist does not try to sell products at the salon ever ). Other stylists have in other salons. What a difference. Chris thank you so much for making these videos. Would love to see a video regarding good blow dryer options besides the Harry Josh and a styling brush. Also I love your Tee shirt but didn’t see it for sale on your website. Thanks again for what you have done for me and all the other subscribers.
I have been a hairdresser for 36 years and I watched one of your videos and I bought a leave in conditioner for my fine curly hair and fair play it’s made a massive difference !! Always learning 🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍🤣🤣🤣😍😍😍
It's only been like two weeks since I switched to the trinity method and people have already been commenting on my hair. I used to always air dry but now I use a blower brush every once in awhile and it really does make a huge difference (especially with volume).
I’m struggling with the 3 days in between washes. By day 2 I’m already very oily. My hair is dark, thin, and fine. The oil is so obvious. Even putting it back in a claw clip on day 2 doesn’t hide anything. My scalp and around my face looks awful. It’s get flat, weighed down, and almost frizzy. Otherwise I follow your routine exactly. I’ve tried for almost 10 years to avoid washing daily (even when I had a buzz cut!). It’s just not happening unfortunately.
I have exactly the same:( I use redken volume injection shampoo that he recommend and I use a proper technique and my hair is still becoming very oily on the next day🤷♀️ even with a dry shampoo I can go 2 days between washes
Have you tried washing your scalp 3 times? Do you feel satisfied with your shampoo or think you could do with switching it up? I love Rahua’s volume shampoo or Rosanno Feretti. Do you lift your roots away from your scalp to get lots of volume when blow drying? So it’s not sitting flat? Some people even put dry shampoo into clean day one hair before they go to bed so it mops up oil overnight before it gets chance to form on the roots. I must admit, by day 3, I’m definitely wearing my hair tied back and thankful that the sleek buns and ponytails are in right now. I used to be a hairwash every other day girl but since I’ve started bleaching my hair, I know that my ends can’t handle it so I’m transitioning to two washes a week. I always have to use heat on my hair because it’s fine and fluffy, lots of it, so I’m taking my hair health extremely seriously now as a blonde.
@@urszulalekka3709 do you rinse your shampoo out really well. If you don't it may leave residue dirt behind. I rinse mine life for 4-5 mins lifting the hair so I can get right into the scalp as i move around my head.
*Pureology Leave In* . I've used other leave in's but finally bit the bullet and got the Pureology. It's a miracle in a bottle and blew me away after the first use. I have fine, low density collar bone length hair. This product doesn't weigh down my hair, adds lots of shine and keeps my tresses tangle free for days.
I tried it for the first time today, it smells divine! Any the way i could brush through my wet coloured hair was insaaaane 👏 also my blow dry took literally half the time!
I am so thankful for all the information you share. I have learned so much. I watch a few of your videos every day and have so many saved for reference. I even wrote out my own hair care routine and the lovely Leslie helped me.
I followed the BP's advice in regards to using high quality shampoo, conditioner,....and how to apply shampoo and conditioner,....also using leave in conditioner, hair oil, and how to blow out and style wet hair. I'm STUNNED...how great my hair looks, and how both full and controllable it is. A thousand thank you's......cheers.
Hi, for months now I do your routine withe the recomended products for fine hair. My hair looks and feels great, but I cant go longer between washes. I have to wash every day, when working at least. Maybe my hair is to thin and fine. But even with this failure, i love what your routine did to my hair. I try to grow it out for the first time since 37 years.
You are so awesome! My hair is super clean and getting so much better since I’ve been listening to your advice. I don’t hate my hair anymore! Thank you!❤❤❤❤
New binge watcher here! I have never been happy with my hair, constant extensions and keratin treatments, I’m going to try your routine- here’s to great hair 💥🥊
I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing your hair knowledge with us. I've been following you since early december and I incorporated your tips into my daily routine and it's been a game changer. I learned so much about hair and how to properly use products and I'm seeing the results in my hair - they are clean longer, shiny, healthy and getting thicker. You are a hair angel :D Thank you, thank you, thank youuuuu!
@@marynalupandina3848 For shampoo and conditioner, I use Watermans (i don't know if they sell it in the US?), for the leave in conditioner I have Moroccanoil, and for the hair oil I use Orofluido. I also use the same brush for when my hair is completly clean, and then the other for daily brushing (so I don't get my hair dirty right after I shower :) ) Hope this helps!
I struggled with dryness and split ends whole my life. Not even a week after a trim my ends were starting to split. After introducing leave in conditioner my hair isn’t dry anymore and morrocanoil oil saved my ends. I just have to put oil on my ends everyday and for some reason my hair doesn’t get weighed down or oily, I can easily go 7 days without wash. I tend to believe my ends are just very thirsty every day 😅
You can get my recommended product list here: blowoutprofessor.tiny.us/2p853etf 👍
I lost more than 50-100 hairs in one day because I was confident that I could use a round brush! :) haha! Flash backs from when I was a kid and used grandma's brush. Nightmare! What am I doing wrong? Do you have a video on how to use a round brush?

Great video as always. Are you able to do one on hair loss? Please 😊
I did not get the list😔
@@rebenaq4506 Yes, I would love that!
Yes! That's amazing!! Happy I could help a bit :)
@@BlowoutProfessor I have been following your advice, leave in conditioner, olaplex number 3, protein mask and pureology leave in conditioner. Wow thank you. Game changer for my chemically treated hair.
I don't even have to go to my hairdresser anymore, muahahahaha
I keep seeing this trinity hair routine but I can’t find the video on it lol I do have 7kids so my mind is a little off
@@jessicac2751 Here it is! It really works. ruclips.net/video/IYUxgbCHJxQ/видео.html
Summary of the recommendations:
1) Don't overstimulate your scalp, it will cause irritation and the scalp may produce more oil
2) Don't brush your hair while it is dirty to avoid spreading the oil to the rest of your hair
3) Hair shedding is normal and it can vary from person to person, there is not an average. The important thing is to keep an eye on how much you personally shed and monitor if there are any changes.
4) Don't oil your hair for pre-wash it is a waste of product and you will have to use more shampoo to remove the excess oil
5) Find your shampoo soulmate based on your hair type (thin, medium or coarse)
6) For applying shampoo, do not lather it in your hands, put an amount in one of your hands and with the other take a small amount of the liquid then press it into your scalp in different sections of your hair then work it with your fingertips.
12) Air drying is not bad for the hair
13) Blow drying: Use blowdry cream with heat protectant.
Hey !! You got all there.
Thank you so much. ❤❤❤
Thank you 👍
Thanks
You are the best human ❤
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I love that you are consistent with your advice!
@Brook Lily, many scalp conditions are medical conditions that you should see a derm or other medical professional about, not a hair stylist.
Yes he is he's so good u can't even tell he's doing it.. redkens voluminzing shampoo, olaplex oil n purelogy leave in.. watch his other videos..
That's awesome! There is a big difference on the second wash:)
My hair is finally growing after listening to you. THANKS..
“I think about you in the shower.” 😂
You’re that little angel on my shoulder who keeps me from being lazy with my hair routine. 2 months in, following you to the letter, with glorious results!
Love love love you! Thank you darlin’ ❤
This made me laugh 🤣
😂
Same hahah
Hahaha 😂 Exactly 😂
This could have been read several ways 😂 at first I thought you pictured him showering. Bahahahaha!
Thank you!! 😁
Yes! Makes my day to hear it Kristine 🙏🙏
Same happened to me before I realized I was doing the order wrong, I got pimples in very sensitive areas and it was terrible! Great reminder!
[tldr: bamboo isn't a tree. we aren't chopping a tree]
just to note about bamboo, it isn't a tree, it's a form of grass. it takes at most 5 years to grow to maturity cuz it grows super fast, unlike trees where once you chop it down, you've got a stump for the rest of your life. it is one of the strongest and most durable hardwoods because it is grass. bamboo is also incredible at absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. therefore no trees are being chopped, and its honestly better for the environment than plastic.
only problem is there's high demand for them and most of it is being grown in china, therefore there's still a massive carbon footprint due to travel. there are some bamboo farms in southern america and some species of bamboo can grow in northern usa and uk, but it's only a fraction of where supply is.
I was also worried about how much I was losing on wash days since switching to 3-4 days so I'm glad it was addressed too!
Xx
Lauren, can you share what products you used please🙏
@@Koteto22 sure. I used redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner, Moroccan oil on my ends (if you find it too heavy there’s also olaplex oil), olaplex no3 and redken one united (as an alternative leave in conditioner as I couldn’t get hold of the pureology one as Chris said this is the next best option. so true. worth the initial investment. my confidence in myself has skyrocketed thanks to having nice looking hair on a regular basis.

This man tells no lies..I’ve been doing this system for four months…it works!!!
There should be an award for kind of achievment, because your trinity healthy hair routine is really amazing! lov u xx
It blows my mind!
do you feel like that shampo makes your hair dry?
Yes , I've been trying different shampoos for years and was never happy, would only be able to get 4-5 days. I started using briogeo mango and cherry... can now go 7 days easily!
I’ve tried endless shampoos for my oily hair. I’ve noticed that the volumizing shampoos keep it cleanest.
I've been using Pulp riot but I also want to try redken before buying a big tub of either to see which my hair likes better.
@@carderalexander definitely mine. And it makes me sad because it does clean. But it makes my hair a rats nest. So does Pureology
I sometimes need to wet my bangs to reshape so I’ve been using the cool setting on my dryer with a round brush
Just bought everything you recommended for my hair type. So tired of having dull hair! Excited to try, many thanks 🙏😊
Yes! It's totally safe as long as you have heat protectant and wait 3 days between heat styles :)
I really appreciate that you're not selling advertising, but rather educating on what the right ingredients/properties are for hair types. That shows that you have a good compass of values, and I think that's really admirable. 💕☀ greetings from Germany. [used a translator]
I’m going 3 days in between washes using your technique on fine, oily hair.
That's amazing Darush! Happy I could help 🙏
@@BlowoutProfessor By the way I meant to say I order the products from you. I don't hate my hair anymore thanks to you.
Bamboo is a good source for floors and other things. It is a fast growing resource. There are no "old bamboo forests."
I thought there were different phases for your hair.

@@mauracosta972 mention ur products name
hi there! what products are you using? if you don’t want to say, that’s totally okay!! if you’re using anything drugstore/“lower end” they have oils that prevent your hair from truly getting clean. also AVOID buying shampoo and conditioners off of amazon, because you can’t tell if they’re real, expired, etc. you also could be using too much shampoo and conditioner, and not washing it out enough potentially as well. maybe toss in a clarifying shampoo weekly too! i recommend kenra’s clarifying shampoo because it’s relatively cost effective for a salon brand, and you can get a very large bottle as well that lasts awhile.
another thing, are you using oil, and if so where are you applying it? from your replies it seems like you have the placement right, so maybe try a clarifying shampoo! he also just dropped a video for oily hair abt 6 days ago!
It's making me happy ☺️
It's making me really happy.
Keep it braided as much as you can, that'll help reduce matting.
@@BionAvastar3000 thank you. I will give this a try.
Hope you can find a brush your daughter likes that doesn’t pull her hair or hurt her scalp. A good hairbrush is hard to find.
I just started using that redken as well! Olaplex 3 once a week as well!
1. Shampoo 2x.
2. Conditioner 2 mins or hair mask 10 mins
Apply mid shaft down to ends on damp hair.
@@BlowoutProfessor I sincerely appreciate it! Wishing you amazing success!

Thank you 😊
Sure thing! Which brands are available where you live?
Can I piggyback on Leeroy’s request, Chris? I live in Manila, Philippines. And what would be good for Asian hair?
@@BlowoutProfessor Hi Chris! Olaplex is easily available here. I ordered Redken but I hope there are alternatives other than the drugstore products like Tresemme and Loreal.
Where you are getting your leave-in conditioner? I also leave in Asia but I can't find a leave-in conditioner or Redken and Pureology. Thank you.😊
@@BlowoutProfessorthe professional brands available easily here are Moroccanoil, Briogeo, Quai, Sebastian Professional, Aveda and Olaplex.
Thank you for All of your tips and advice. This is much needed for my hair and I’m looking forward to no no forward to seeing results ❤️🙏🏼
The only thing I still can’t to is to do curls on my own hair.
How ? I wana know bc i have also fine and oily hair
In my older age my hair is thinning. You sir have been a life saver. I follow your routines and I see such a difference. You’re a great teacher. Thank you.
personally i rarely blow dry and have never used hair oil or leave in conditioner. i prefer air dry since i get headaches from heat easily.. and my hair still look and feel just as healthy as when i blow dry at the salon/home. i have long straight hair that is mid thickness. i can go up to 1week without washing if i didn't really sweat.
i have also checked my hair in a hair clinic before and it is really healthy
whereas my friends' have really different routines and none of them use oil.
basically, just find which methods fits u.
Thank you!
absolutely the BEST hair advice/education/knowledge/tips (shortly: everything about hair!) channel around which gives info without any out of context extras and bla blas.. right to the point exactly, easy to follow, easy to apply and encourages people to love and take "real" care of their hair and be happy..for the first time in my life i decided to invest for my poor thin, fine, damaged, bleached hair no matter what it costs..all because of your approach and the honest feeling you give me thru' that phoney internet garbage..i really appreciate your effort and time..
only thing i could've ask for would be that a wider range of brands and products you advice since it's hard or impossible to find all the products (even if we want it) you recommend where we live..we need some more replacement advices and i think lots of your loyal followers around the globe would agree with me..
and of course sending love to dear "christine the funniest hair salon client ever"! ;))))
Here’s a question. What routine would you recommend for someone who works out and sweats heavily everyday?
He has a video about that already. Look for one with a picture of Emily in Paris. I don’t remember the title from the top of my head now.
@@DouceVipere thanks for replying!
This guy knows his stuff. I tried his recommended products and noticed marked improvement.
One correction though, bamboo is totally sustainable. It’s not like chopping down a tree.
Shampoo & Conditioner Bars - Chris, I travel a lot 2 area's where I cant take much with me. What is your take on Shampoo and Conditioner bar's? ❣️
Amazing to hear 🙏
Can you review colorwow products? Especially the xtra large bombshell volumizer?
Dear Blowout Professor,
All of the information you're giving seems really interesting, but I've noticed that your hair routines are mostly for straight hair or straightening/curling hair.
Manes by Mell is a great curly hair resource
Redken Volume Injection shampoo and conditioner
I don’t use any products, only velcro rollers while hair is still hot from drying.
Go to a professional to show you how
Dear mister, not only are you very very handsome but you saved my hair. In 36 years I have never even used conditioner because I have so fine hair.

How do I work a volumizing mousse into my routine? I have fine hair and have been using all of your recommended products but am looking for more volume. When and how much of it should I use?
I would use it after you towel dry your hair and apply the leave in conditioner. Use the mousse right after that and then style 👍
I just started watching your videos about a week ago . I definitely was never washing my hair correctly before. Using your recommended shampoo and conditioner (Redken Volume Injection ) for now and my Leave In Conditioner (my pureology hadn’t come yet ). So I used It’s A Ten lite and my Bumble
and Bumble blow out
cream .

Yes! Exactly 👍
