For me that person is definitely Justin Chancellor (he’s actually the one who inspired me to start playing bass in the first place) , but I gotta say that I’ve always really appreciated Nolly’s role as a bass player in a band as heavy as Periphery. I think Dick Lövgren from Meshuggah, as talented as he is, should be taking notes from Nolly. Y’know, maybe breaking away from strictly following the guitar’s every note on every single track might actually be a good idea...
