this will make your life easier. if you yarn feels like it's not flowing and it feels hard run it over a cheap tealight wax it makes any yarn flow smoother. my grandmother always used this trick back in the day 😂
omg yes Caron one pound/jumbo is so much thicker than most worsted weights for some reason! I like it for certain amigurumi because its nice and stiff, but I tried to use Big Twist Value in the same project as Caron, and it didn't work out because Caron was drastically thicker!

Basically I cast on with a waste yarn and do about ten rows, then switch to the color of my cuff and do double the amount of rows I want for the cuff so I did 40. At the end of 40 I take every loop from the first row of the cuff color and pick it up with my transfer tool and put it back on the machine then I switch to my arm color and start knitting back and forth. At the end of the project i carefully cut off the waste yarn. Hope this helps

Im not even exaggerating, he is well over 7 feet 2 inches tall!!! You can definitely use wool on the knitting machine, I use mostly 100% wool on mine, just make sure it has a tight spin because it does break a lot more easily than acrylic which might be the main reason not to use it. Just make sure it does not get caught or too tight in the feed and it’s fine. 😊
Just to let you know: you can knit with any kind of yarn, wool included! Some novelty yarns are harder to use but nothing is impossible with proper techniques

I even use some of hand spun yarns when I am spinning consistently (not art yarn that would be the exception) but wool works like butter in the machine. You just need to play with the tension mast and dial. Since it’s a mid gauge you can stretch its use to almost lace weight yarns if you don’t mind holey fabrics to using it as if it were a bulky machine by using every other needle. Swatching and washing your swatches to see if you like the end result is your best bet. I’m planning to make a simple tote bag with wool I spun that feels too coarse for my taste. But the fiber was way cheaper than acrylic… I will then full the fabric to make it real sturdy. Have fun and keep making videos it’s fun to watch the two of you! Hugs from Provence, Adrien 😘

You can pull in sleeves with a crocheted ribbed cuff, If you don’t want to knit one by hand and don’t know how to decrease or rib on the machine.

You could put elastic in the cuff if you wanted a tight cuff. I tend to crochet a rib on my knits lol. I don't have a machine though.
