You guys should look into Jaquaysing your dungeons a bit more - adding loops and connecting different parts to each other. It ups the exploration factor by a lot and makes the dungeon feel a lot les railroady.
Interesting video. I don't know if you could do this sort of format for e.g. designing a hex crawl, designing a town, designing an island, etc, but those are similar topics that might be useful to folk.
A query for more knowledgeable minds than mine; if a silence spell is placed on the door but the wizard casts the knock spell outside the area of silence, will that still open the door but cancel out the loud noise?

I think having some themed lists at the ready for making a roll table for loot, room descriptions, and encounters would be a good idea.

Yes. However this is casting 2 spells for one obstacle. And you won’t be able to hear what is on the other side before opening it.
