@@BlindstuffMTB - I love it. Sounds nice to me, and also the benefit of alerting others to your presence. Mine isn't that loud but I always seems to have a honking brake pad so they still know I am coming.
Recently added a 2019 pair of Mavic XA pro carbon wheels on my Spectral which really smoothed the ride out and some semi metallic pads, I can really feel the improvement in braking, not sure if I am ready for a trail like that but I might give it a shot sometime
yes that section is just like a very bad intersection on the road were people got killed you watch your self you must have road this on the weekend to many hikers and bikers there i ride my local trails or try to when its the dead time
One of those front half fenders helps a ton keeping stuff off of the lens, assuming its not actively raining. I have a mucky nutz, but there are a few out there that all seem the same. I'm going get down to Pisgah in the spring, can't wait!
Thanks for the suggestions Mike! I filmed this like a month ago, coincidentally, as soon as I got back from Pisgah I bought the small mucky nutz, makes a huge difference!
Hey Sergey, I'd love to but I'm going to Outerbike Moab the week before that, I can't fit that much traveling in yet, maybe someday when the channel is larger.
Its a lot of fun for sure, also climbing it is a nice challenge. I stuck to the fire road because I was exhausted, haven't done wolf branch going down but it must be fun!
Oh it's that spot! Yikes. I wouldn't mess around with it either. There are a features that I've either gotten hurt on or witnessed people getting hurt on that I won't even consider riding. It's all mental and breaking through those barriers is something I try to work on as much as the physical skills. Anywho, Ingles Field Gap looks truly incredible. I was surprised you ran into so many people climbing up in the opposite direction. Does that trail flow nice in both directions? Great video as always!
Thanks Jordan! Trail does flow in both directions and its actually a popular out-and-back trail, so you'll find traffic almost always on it during the weekends. Mental barrier are a pita, sometimes you know you have the skill to do something and they hold you back from just sending it, in my case, its gap jumps, If I can do a table top that's X feet long, I can obviously do a gap jump of the same length, but I never do cause I chicken out.
Thanks Kyle, I live in FL but I do my best to travel the SE for the channel, I've been using summer to go places that I won't be able to during winter, Irma didn't help either as our trails in FL took a pretty big hit. I've made a lot of NC video simply because there is just so much good riding in small area to choose from.
That is kinda funny. Many mountain bike youtubers started out in Florida but moved to North Carolina. Me and my family recently moved to North Carolina from Florida so it is kinda funny. :)
How did you get up to Ingles Field Gap in the first place? I know you start at Ledford and go down Deer Lake Lodge to Wolf's Branch but after that i'm completely lost.
Here's a ride planner on trailforks that I think will help you. www.trailforks.com/ridelog/planner/view/14683/ Once you're past wolf branch you have to options, either climb up ingles field which is short but steeper, or climb the north boundary road which is longer but not as steep. I recommend hitting greens lick once you're up there.
Hey Francesco, I'm honestly not sure, I think snow is more of an issue in Jan / Feb but it will for sure be cold in Nov in the morning, expect 30's in the AM and mid 60's in the PM, hard to dress right for that hahaha. Still, if I was already in the area, I'd try to go for a ride.
God damn that cassette is loud.
Hahaha yes it is! Love it or hate it.

Busy trail

Yeah, I did this on a weekend, much better during the week but its quite a bit of a drive from my work so that ain't happening.

Are you planning to come out to Pisgah MTB Festival, October 13th - 15th (www.pisgahmountainbikefestival.com)?
Hey Sergey, I'd love to but I'm going to Outerbike Moab the week before that, I can't fit that much traveling in yet, maybe someday when the channel is larger.
Awesome, have fun over there! I am planning of going to one of the Outerbike events next year.
Thanks Sergey. Highly recommended, i'm not shopping for a bike at all, but its hard to beat what you can get to ride for the entry fee.
Love that trail. After you hit the fire road there is wolf branch on the left and it's a blast too..
Its a lot of fun for sure, also climbing it is a nice challenge. I stuck to the fire road because I was exhausted, haven't done wolf branch going down but it must be fun!

Jordan Byron average is 8-10 a year serious injury
Looks fun some fun looking jumps
A lot more natural than GFT, they're less lippy so they're super easy and fun!
Oh I bet not much like GFT haha. I love natural flow of a jump on a fun fast trail.
Good stuff man. So do you reside in Florida or North Carolina?

Right on. I'm glad you got to share all these travels. I'm looking forward to the mild winters down south. More riding as I see it.

It was a lot rockier when i went!
This is one of my favorite downhill rides in Pisgah or anywhere actually.
Its a great one!
Speeeed!
Such an addictive drug!
good vid, clicked you by chance from a comment you made on bkxc, glad i did, subscribed.
Thanks man, glad you liked it, appreciate the support!

@@BlindstuffMTB alright, sorry for the long reply.
Can you go in the dates around thanksgiving? Or will there be any snow by that time?

It's all steep.
HeroBrian8It hahaha true. I mean that piece was steeper than usual
Where did you park for this ride?
The best spot imho is listed on trailforks as Wesley Branch Trailhead Parking
You missed the whole bottom end of it. Stay left
There is more to it?
