    YOU BELONG TO MY HEART
    YOU BELONG TO MY HEART
    NOW AND FOREVER
AND OUR LOVE HAD ITS START
    NOT LONG AGO
    WE WERE GATHERING STARS
    WHILE A MILLION GUITARS
    PLAYED OUR LOVE SONG
WHEN I SAID I LOVE YOU
    EVERY BEAT OF MY HEART
    SAID IT TOO
    'TWAS A MOMENT LIKE THIS
    DO YOU REMEMBER?
AND YOUR EYES THREW A KISS
    WHEN THEY MET MINE
NOW WE OWN ALL THE STARS
    AND A MILLION GUITARS
    ARE STILL PLAYING
    DARLING YOU ARE THE SONG
    AND YOU’LL ALWAYS BELONG
    TO MY HEART
Music and Spanish Lyrics: Augustin Lara
    English Lyrics: Ray Gilbert

Played at my dad's funeral, it was his favourite song and he always sang it.

HE DID MORE TO ADVANCE THE POPULARITY OF COUNTRY MUSIC THAN ANYBODY. LEGENDS LIKE BING CROSBY RECORDED POP VERSIONS OF AUTRY'S HITS.
HIS IMMORTALS RECORDINGS ARE SO RELAXING, YET CHILLING, DUE THE INHERENT BEAUTY AND SINCERITY OF HIS GOD-GIVEN VOICE.
GOOGLE ANOTHER VERSION BY GENE OF THIS SONG: "THE ONE ROSE", FROM BOOTS AND SADDLES, 1937, on this channel.

I like Gene's music and enjoyed his movies on t.v. during the 50's. I really enjoy his early bluesy recordings in the vein of Jimmie Rodgers.

He did a very nice job on this song.
I don't know where Gene was supposed to be in this movie but I bet he really wouldn't believe the gas prices these days to try to get here to Tucson 🤣
