- Málaga is located in Andalucía, south of Spain. It is also known as "the capital of the Costa del Sol." An estimate of six million tourists visit the city every year to enjoy the climate, the sea and its beaches. Málaga is also the largest and most populated coastal city in southern Spain.
This beautiful city has two thousand-eight hundred years of history and considered as one of the oldest cities in Europe.
Málaga experienced the greatest civilizations of the Mediterranean, from the Phoenicians and the Greeks to the Romans, due to its strategic location of the port, a significant area along the trade routes since the ancient times.
Its history dates back to the Phoenician times, and later passed onto the Romans and Arabs who left part of their culture and constructions. The capital of the Costal del Sol, Málaga was in the end conquered by the Catholic Kings in the year 1487, leaving an incomplete cathedral due to the lack of funds back then, known as "La Manquita." The are also a numerous monuments to visit, including the Alcazaba Arabic Castle and the Gibralfaro castle.
Pablo Picasso was also born in the city of Málaga, the Plaza where he used to play as a child still exists today, as well as his house which is now a museum that is accessible today for everyone.
The Calle Larios offers a mixture of well-known chain stores and boutiques for shopping, and cafetería's and ice cream parlors as well. Through its streets you can find more shops and restaurants and bars.
Málaga has also some of the best tapas bars in the country. Much of which is fish and shellfish due to its Mediterranean location. At the center of the city, a wide range mix of restaurants, from traditional Spanish and seafood, to Moroccan, South American, and Asian cuisines respectively.

Malaga is known for its music. There's an enormous selection of music bars and cafes, and no shortage of nightclubs either. Plaza de Uncibay is home to most of Malagan nightlife, including the area near the Cathedral of Malaga and the streets around the square.

It's like 50% of people on the streets are models.
That caused issues in female foreign exchange students from Virginia when came to Madrid. Immediately decided that weren't going to eat, but started drinking too much, (because the beer also has a higher alcohol content than accustomed to elsewhere in the world, alot of cities in Spain have their own beer company, but have beers from elsewhere in the world,) and the problems began. They thought the boys were gorgeous and saw the girls to match. Similar to Italy, alot of physically attractive populations, especially in any cities .This is a beautiful city in Andalucia, Malaga, where the same goes, and on top summer time and tanned from the beaches. This city is also quite international, important airport and bullet train, and an important cruise lines stop. People like to be out and about, after work and on weekends, even just to stroll and maybe have a beer or wine and an appetizer, before go home for dinner. During hot sun hours there wouldn't be as many people as see here.
