- What's the best way to fasten subfloor? In this video I discuss 4 options we've used over the years and then which method we use today. To me if we are going to make the decision to use a high-quality subfloor like Advantech, then we should use a high-quality glue and the right fasteners.

Thanks for your time and information on putting down subfloors, so not to have squeaking floors.
Third times a charm! Great info!
Big fan of huber products . They cost of call backs is way more then the cost of the right product the first time around .
It was a vlog full of peace, tranquility and knowledge. thanks You soo much.
Hi Awesome Framers! Thanks for the comparison!
really helpful demonstration
Great information as always!
Very nice job! I've not yet seen a similar comparison, so this is really handy. I only wish I could have found this video back when I started laying the subfloor for my workshop. I knew up front that I was going to use screws instead of nails. Because I was not sure of the screw gun attachments, I went with a compromise: deck screws with a drill attachment. It was not fun; fortunately the floor was not that big. I'm a big fan of both Fastenmaster and Simpson, so I know what my next project will use.
I don’t do many subfloors a few new additions yearly but I use the DeWalt quik drive system for decks it works efficiently and we do a lot of decks yearly and Re decking of older decks … great video to help others decide which route to go
Great informative video! Thnx
Very helpful. Many thanks.
I use a generous amount of PL premium and coil nail as we go. Also glue in all the joist hangers. Stopped rescrewing along time ago. No squeaks. I like the idea of standing up but….
I use the secco standup system and love it.
Helpful video - makes subfloor installation look easy. For someone that would want to do DIY subfloor for their own home what tool/screw would you recommend? Just a drill/screws?
Love all the content from the Awesome Framers - can you point me to a good floor layout video?
Where can I get the cordless kit for dewalt. Like what you like the most , and what nail are you using for the high pressure coil gun ,? Ty
very good video, what is the model of the Dewalt thanks
Just wondering why I don't see you guys don't use the Huber x floor ( yellow one) since it's more water repelent? Just wondering. Thx for the great content
I found your channel after seeing you on EC2. I was curious if you noticed a large boost in views or subscribers after that interview? Great videos by the way!
FYI... Lowe's has the DeWalt screw gun quick drive on clearance for $299 right now
