The new film , cause the og story writers worked so hard thinking about all the factors that could play into a character and then new disney strolls around introducing a new element. For example lets take race. One race doesn't grow in the same evoirment as another race since their culture is completly different. Hence when og writers are charecterising it they take this into consideration and our " brains " exactly interpret it like how it is intended, since we are nurtured that way genatically and envoirmentaly . When new element such as new race is introduced our brains resist to change their perspectives and judge the new film. Just like snow white that has literally white in her name white as snow but noooo let's change her race wtf. I hate Disney for this. So many good stories to make live action from or even make their own story for a new character. How would you feel if disney changed race of tiana? Huh? It would change the whole point.
